IMPORTANT !!!

FS-1570 and FS-2570 PA PCB Bias Adjustment

When the PA PCB is replaced, the PA Bias adjustment MUST be completed, or damage to the transceiver will
result! To adjust the PA Bias:

1. Connect the transceiver output to a dummy load with a power meter inline, and setup to measure
forward power. Set frequency to any 8 MHZ frequency / channel.

2. Go into the TX POWER SETUP menu and initiate LOAD DEFAULT. This will set all of the TX power
values back to default.

• For New style controller: Select [SETUP] > SYS SETUP > RT SYSTEM SETUP > TX POWER >
[ENTER]. In the TX Power Setup menu, select LOAD DEFAULT and choose YES (ref:
FS-1570/FS-2570 service manual, section 9.1).

• For Old style controller: Select [SETUP] from RT display to show Setup menu, move cursor
over SYSTEM, press [ENT], enter password 652111 when system setup menu appears.
Select TX POWER with the cursor, press [ENT] to show TX Power Setup menu, select ERASE
TX POWER and choose YES (ref: FS-1570/2570 service manual, section 7.1).
