The Hunger Games:

Catching
Fire
WHAT IS
CATCHING
FIRE?
The Hunger Games:
Catching fire is a 2013
dystopian film directed by
Francis Lawrence. It is the
second film in The Hunger
Games series, which
consists of four movies.
The movies

are adapted
from the book trilogy The
Hunger Games by
Suzane Collins.
The film follows Katniss and Peeta, after they've won the 74th Hunger
Games and are preparing to go on the Victors tour. After the events
that took place in the 74th Hunger Games, there have been rebellions in
the districts, and President Snow believes that this is caused by the
fact Katniss and Peeta both won because they threatened to kill
themselves with poison berries if the both of them didn't win. This was
done according to the two of them due to their romantic relationship.

Snow is not convinced that this was done out of love but he instead
thinks that it was an act of defiance against the capitol. Due to this
Snow threatens Katniss and tells her that when the tour is up she must
have convinced him and the whole of panem that her love for Peeta is
genuine.

When the Victors Tour comes to an end and Snow isn't convinced, he
decides that Katniss must be killed as she is becoming a symbol or
rebellion with each passing day. In order to do this Snow decides that
for the 3rd Quarter Quell and 75th Hunger Games, the players will be
former victors of the Hunger Games.
