A stereotactic biopsy is a less invasive, more convenient and simpler procedure for assessing 2 breast
abnormality than open surgical biopsy. It is especially useful in detecting microcaleifications and suspicious
breast cancer in other modaltes.
The biopsy add-on has a micto-processor controlled, motor-driven needle guide in three orthogonal planes
and can be used in conjunction with Brestige to provide automatic, precise. stereotactical location of a biopsy
needle in any region of interest

-The biopsy needle guidance system is a removable
attachment for Y-ray diagnosis dedicated to our
mammography system, Brestige.
-It provides the means for accurate, first-time placement of
a suitable biopsy needle at the site of any lesion detected
by the parent system
