Analyzing state tests and teachers' responsibilities
During the school year, the department of education allocates state assessments
proficiency, and level of active engagement, schools receive a rating or grading for how
well they are performing. Each school receives points and scores based on the
performance of its students and various indicators throughout the year. A school has a
committee that discusses the goals and decisions for the upcoming year in response to
the results of the tests. A detailed discussion of the data and implications will be
conducted by the leadership team during this process. To provide insight into how they
plan to utilize the data, the teachers participate in monthly meetings with grade level
and content level teams during this time. It is also important for teachers to attend
assessment.
The use of formative assessments on a daily basis is one of the strategies that
tickets, read alouds, quizzes, and unit tests can be assessed to gain insight into
standardized data that will assist in the development of scaffolding and guide the
process. The department head will be responsible for overseeing the content of the
department. It's the team or curriculum leader's job to analyze the data. To improve
students' academic achievement and growth measurements, the team/curriculum
leaders will meet with teachers and analyze the data and obtain lessons and lesson
plans.
Taking action based on the results of the testing and improving instruction
Implementing literacy in all subject areas will assist students in performing better in
those areas as well as improving their academic achievement. As part of teaching test-
taking tips, intervention and enrichment activities will also be implemented. Obtaining
data will help to plan lessons and provide the appropriate instruction. Teachers are able
to identify and create strategies to fill in these learning gaps. This permits them to meet
each student at their current level and then to move to the appropriate grade level and
beyond.
This field experience aims to provide students with effective lessons and how to
become an effective teacher. NPBEA (2015) aligns this standard to PSEL Standard 4g,
improved within the limits of technical limitations. As for myself, I believe that this
standard will guide me and provide me with insight into my future practices by using all
reputable resources and platforms to gather data and guide instruction based on the
data.
