critical systems, data, and operations. This plan outlines the strategies, responsibilities, and actions
required to ensure minimal downtime, data loss, and disruption during and after a disaster event.

2. Scope

This plan covers all critical IT systems, data assets, and operational processes within our
organization. It addresses disasters such as natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, hurricanes),
technical failures (e.g., hardware/software failure, power outages), cyberattacks (e.g., malware,
data breaches), and any other events that could disrupt normal operations.

● Establish a communication plan to notify all stakeholders about the disaster and its impact.
● Designate multiple communication channels (emails, text messages, phone calls) to ensure
effective dissemination of information.

6. Disaster Recovery Process

a. Detection and Assessment

● Monitor systems and network for anomalies and potential disasters.

● Use monitoring tools and intrusion detection systems to identify cyber threats.
● Establish communication with external sources (meteorological departments, news
channels) to track potential natural disasters.

b. Response and Activation

● Activate the Disaster Recovery Coordinator or designated personnel.

● Initiate the emergency response plan, ensuring personnel safety and evacuation if
necessary.
● Establish a command center for coordination and communication.

c. Recovery and Restoration

● Prioritize systems based on their criticality and importance to the business.
● Test and verify the integrity and functionality of restored systems.

d. Communication

● Keep all stakeholders informed about the status of recovery efforts.

● Provide regular updates on progress, challenges, and estimated recovery times.

e. Post-Recovery Activities

● Conduct a thorough review and analysis of the disaster event.

● Identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
● Update the disaster recovery plan based on the review outcomes.

7. Testing and Training

● Regularly conduct disaster recovery drills and tabletop exercises to ensure all personnel are
familiar with their roles and responsibilities.
● Test the effectiveness of backup systems and data restoration processes.
● Review and update the disaster recovery plan based on the results of testing and training
activities.

8. Plan Maintenance

● Review and update the plan annually or as major changes occur in BOLD's infrastructure,
systems, or processes.
● Ensure all contact information, procedures, and responsibilities are accurate and up to
date.

9. Conclusion

This Disaster Recovery Plan outlines the strategies, actions, and responsibilities required to
effectively respond to and recover from various disaster scenarios. By following this plan and
