BBA Internship Guide
This internship policy describes objectives of internship program and its requirements to be
fulfilled by students. It also explains the role of Head of internships/Supervisors in monitoring
and streamlining mandatory internship program.
Internship is mandatory requirement of BBA degree program. It is the terminal point of BBA
degree requirement and student must register for the mandatory internship only after
completing at least 4 semesters of the program.
1.2. Objectives
A student is required to seek internship for a period of at least six (6) weeks at a stretch in a
professional organization, subject to approval by the Head of internships/Supervisors. The
internship is to be completed during the semester of registration.
1.4. How will students start their internship!
Students must get formal approval from the respective Supervisor regarding acceptability of
the organization before commencing the internship. For selecting an organization/company,
following baseline criteria should be followed:
Any business concern listed or unlisted but registered with Securities and Exchange
Commission of Pakistan (SECP) can be selected.
For a manufacturing business, evidence of production activity should be there e.g
traceable location of production unit(s).
Head office only, of Banks. (bank branches not allowed)
NGOs must be registered with the provincial government’s relevant department under
relevant rules of business.
At least 30 employees in the concern, a proper functional website and a contemporary
organizational structure.
More than 2 years old business history.
Travel agencies, trading companies, e-commerce site offices are not allowed.
In the event of failing to place themselves in any organization, students are advised to contact
UCP Career Services office to seek assistance in internship placement. However, if any student
fails to secure in any organization, his/her registration will be canceled.
Register for Internship through UCP Portal/or visit student registration office.
Request and collect internship letter from Head of internships. The letter may be presented
to potential organizations while searching for internship opportunity.
Update Head of Internships/Supervisor after finding an opportunity and seek approval for
proceeding
Ensuring that the company selection for the internship, the internship report, its
plagiarism etc. is as per the given guidelines. (Organizational requirements,
internship guidelines, report formats and outlines, which are shared with the
students -also attached for review).
Guiding students in case of any issue in the internships.
Getting progress updates (weekly/monthly/ as per the convenience of the
supervisor)
Arranging panel Vivas of the student to evaluate as per the given format of
evaluation and marking their grads.
Sending complete result (soft copy of internship report, aggregate result sheet,
plagiarism report, soft copy of employer evaluation form, soft copy of internship
certificate) of the students to the head of internship/coordinator for result
compilation and submission as per the communicated timelines.
The summer’s internship bracket will be closed at 300 students. The students will be registered
on first come first serve bases. Those student who have completed their complete course load,
must be given preference for internship registration.
