Technology as My Tool

The five technologies we used when I was in my grade school were:

1. The first one is the TV. We used the TV when we needed to watch videos related to our
lessons. The TV had a big screen, so students at the back didn't need to stand up just to see the
video. Additionally, the teacher would sometimes play educational programs on the TV to
reinforce our learning.

2. The second is a laptop. Our teachers used laptops when the TV was not available. They used
them to show us pictures and videos they wanted us to watch. Sometimes, we got to use the
laptops ourselves for interactive lessons and research projects.

3. The third is speakers. They used speakers to ensure that we could clearly hear what the video
was saying and to help us take notes. Sometimes, during science experiments, they would
connect microphones to the speakers so we could hear them better.

4. The fourth is Google. We used Google to search for things we didn't understand and for our
assignments to find answers. In addition to assignments, our teachers taught us how to use
Google effectively for research, which was a valuable skill.

5. The fifth is the overhead projector. Teachers used overhead projectors to display notes and
diagrams on a screen for the entire class to see. This made it easier for us to follow along during
lectures and take organized notes.

These technologies we used are still suitable for the next generation. Firstly, these five
technologies are still in use today, which means they can provide easy access for the next
generation. Specifically, TVs and laptops remain relevant due to the abundance of educational
content available through various media. They enable access to educational apps, online courses,
and serve as versatile tools for both classroom and home-based education. Laptops continue to
be crucial due to their versatility, supporting research, assignments, and more. In our increasingly
digital world, laptops are essential for remote learning, promoting accessibility and adaptability.
Google's search engine and suite of tools offer unparalleled access to information, helping
students find answers, conduct research, and develop their understanding of various subjects.
Moreover, Google fosters collaboration and communication skills, preparing students for modern
workplaces.
When I envision my future as a professional educator, it's clear to me that I am fully
prepared to integrate various technologies into my classroom. Firstly, I possess a proficient
understanding of how to effectively utilize these technological tools, particularly laptops and
other gadgets suitable for educational purposes. Furthermore, I have actively honed my skills
through practical application during classroom demonstrations at our school.

Today's generation finds these technologies incredibly accessible, making them

user-friendly and adaptable for seamless integration into the learning process. Additionally, our
school's curriculum emphasizes the incorporation of these tools in various reporting activities,
allowing me to refine my proficiency.

Not only do I possess a genuine affinity for technology, but I also boast a comprehensive
skill set encompassing a wide range of modern technological tools. This skill set equips me with
the capability to leverage these resources effectively within my classroom, enhancing the overall
educational experience.

As a future teacher, I need to acquire knowledge about how to use technology in the
classroom, especially in the context of education. I will also instruct my students on how to use
and leverage these technologies effectively in the classroom. I will transition from traditional
teaching methods to more modern approaches using technology.

Lastly, I will develop skills in maintaining and managing ICT resources in my classroom.
I must learn how to keep these resources in good condition and how to use them in actual
teaching scenarios. I will utilize these tools to enhance my students' learning experiences.
