Some researchers include the instrument to be


used, sampling method, research design, and
financial limitation of the study. However, it is
not necessary to add and can be based on the
researchers' choice.

EXAMPLE

The study will cover the determination of the effects of peer tutoring to reading fluency. The
primary subjects of this research study will consist of the Grade 12 students enrolled in
academic year 2020-2021. The respondents will be limited to ten (10) Grade 12 students
who are in the IIUMSS section of Academic Senior High School of the City of
Meycauayan in the Division of Meycauyan, Bulacan.

Moreover, the participants will be purposely selected by referring to their record of grades
in the English subject Reading and Writing. In the pretest, the participants are marked as
nonfluent level 1 readers. On the other hand, the peer tutors will be composed of honor
students in the same class. They are the real-life peers of the aforementioned participants.

Scope defines what the research aims to achieve, who
it involves, where and when it takes place, why it is
important, and how it will be conducted. Delimitation,
on the other hand, sets the boundaries and constraints
regarding what will not be included in the study in
terms of population, location, time, and methodology.
These aspects collectively guide the research process,
ensuring it remains focused, feasible, and relevant to
the research objectives.
