1. What is the primary goal of COPAR?


The primary goal of COPAR is to transform the apathetic, individualistic and voiceless poor into
dynamic, participatory and politically responsive community.
2. What level of health facility is the usual point of entry of a client into the health care delivery
system?
Primary whereas the entry of a person into the healthcare delivery system is usually through a
consultation in out-patient services.
3. What is a Core Group Formation?
is made up of 5-7 individuals from the community selected and recruited by the Community
Organizer (CO) to help facilitate the formation of the “Community Based Organization (CBO)”.
There is also a leader spotting through sociogram such as key persons who is approached by
most people, opinion leader which is approached by key persons and last is isolates which were
never or hardly consulted.
4. Why Participatory gathering is important in COPAR.
It is important since participatory or gathering is important to establish the network of
communication in each individuals of community, the family, officials and healthcare sectors of
community. It also helps to make a concrete plan of community as they should be self-reliant
towards selves and not in the care of nurses.
5. What are the objectives of the social investigation /community study?
Social Investigation (SI) is the process of systematically looking for issues around which to
organize the people. Community organizing is both a tactic to address specific problems and
issues and a longer-term engagement and empowerment strategy. Longer-term objectives of
community organizing are to develop the internal capabilities and to increase the decision-
making power and influence of underrepresented groups

6. What is problem identification and analysis?


At this part of COPAR, based on the data given by the community will provide a basis for which
is the common problem or problem of concern in community. This can be done by utilizing the
first level assessment, second level assessment and scale of ranking. At the part of first level
assessment the community nursing problem will be identified if it is either health related, health
concern or health status. After this part will be based on Maglaya’s Typology of Nursing based
on the percentage and other objective cues. Last is to have scale of ranking by identifying its
magnitude of problem, nature of the problem, modifiability of the problem, preventive
potential, and social concern. The highest point will be determined as highest priority.
