1. PURPOSE

Risk Based Inspection (RBI) is a module in GE Digital APM that allows to, firstly, analyze the risk of
the components of a piece of equipment failing due to specific degradation mechanisms, through
defining both the consequence and probability of failure and, secondly, to define an Inspection
Strategy for each mechanism.

The RBI Analysis will be performed following the 580 and 581 modules.

This specification defines the templates to be filled in for the Risk Assessment to be updated to APM
software as part of the RBI Program. Data Collection requirements include process data, equipment
technical data and history data (inspection results) obtained during the review of each unit as part of
the RBI data preparation.

Data collection for RBI is obtained from the following documents:

• Process Flow Diagrams, Block Flow Diagrams and Material of Construction Diagrams

• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and Isometric drawing

• DCS, process historian or field instrumentation (for operating conditions)

• Process description / operating philosophy

• Manufacturer’s equipment data sheet

• Inspection and test records

• Maintenance records (equipment repair, re-rating, replacement, failure reports, etc.)

• Management of Change (MOC) records on modifications, upgrade, projects, etc.

• Specifications deviation, if any

• Integrity Operating Windows (IOW)

2. SCOPE

This document includes all the template files provided by COMPANY with information populated by
CONTRACTOR to be uploaded by COMPANY in the GE APM software. These templates will include
information of corrosion loops, piping groups, inventory groups, piping and equipment components
as part of the RBI data preparation for the RLTO Expansion and Offplot Facilities of the North Field
Expansion project (EPC-3).

4. RBI DATA PREPARATION

4.1 PIPING AND EQUIPMENT SAP UPLOAD

This file contains information with relevant details including all the RBI components (piping and
equipment) applicable por the risk assessment. Each type of asset, operating data, design data,
material data as well as any assumption made on this regard is populated in the corresponding GE-
APM template.
Information and Data required is gathered for the upload in the software APM for a proper risk
assessment. This information is gathered in a template that can be found in attachment 01.

4.2 CORROSION LOOP & PIPING GROUP TEMPLATE

Attachment 02 is developed based on information gathered on a deliverable called “Corrosion Loop

Report” MEG - Risk Based Inspection (RBI) - Corrosion Loop Report. Information and Data required
is gathered in the corresponding template for the upload in the software GE-APM for a proper risk
assessment.

4.3 INVENTORY GROUP DEVELOPMENT

An inventory group (IG) is a simple term used to determine the mass of fluid that could realistically
be released in the event of a leak. This is used to designate a group of equipment that can be remotely
isolated, within a short period of time, from other sections of the plant in an emergency situation.

Detection and isolation system that are present in the unit can have a significant impact on the
magnitude and duration of the hazardous fluid release. These systems can reduce the duration of
the release. This isolation system shall be considered as “A” as per the following API 581 type of
isolation system classification:

Following abovementioned criteria, Emergency Shut Down Valves (ESDVs) have been considered
as battery limit for the IG development. These valves will isolate components under assessment
within a specific inventory group.

These valves have been identified using PIDs and IGs have been marked up at the MSD level and it
can be found in Attachment 03. Inventory groups are clearly identified with a unique tag (i.e. IG-01).
Once IGs have been marked up, all data required for inventory group template has been gathered
and it has been filled in the corresponding GE-APM RBI Template. It can be found in attachment 3.1.

This file contains detailed information of all the RBI components (piping and equipment) applicable
in the corresponding unit. Each type of asset, operating/design parameters, material data as well as
any assumption made on this regard is filled in the corresponding GE-APM RBI Template.
Information and Data required is gathered for the upload in the software APM for a proper risk
assessment. This information is gathered in a template that can be found in attachment 04.

4.5 MERIDIUM APM RBI TEMPLATE FILES

This file contains relevant information including all the RBI components (piping and equipment)
applicable por the risk assessment. Each type of asset, component type, damage mechanism,
consequences related data as per corresponding GE-APM template fields detail.
Information and Data required is gathered for the upload in the software APM for a proper risk
assessment. This information is gathered in a template that can be found in the following attachments:
• Piping: attachment 05.
• Pressure vessels: attachment 06.
• Tanks (tank bottom not included): attachment 07.
• Tank Bottom: attachment 08.
