5 The Reback Method

The document describes a strategy called the ReBack strategy that takes advantage of price increases in the match odds market when a match goes in-play. It involves backing an odds-on favorite to win easily in two parts before and during the match, re-backing the favorite if its price doubles, and cashing out profits if the favorite takes the lead.

THE

ReBack
Strategy
THE REBACK
STRATEGY
 Taking advantage of the price increases
on the Match Odds market when the
match goes in-play.
THE REBACK
STRATEGY
 HOT strategy
 Match Odds Market
 High Frequency
 Not Liquidity dependent
SCENARIO

 Odds-on favourite we expect

to win easily
Pregame Research
 Ideal match: Home favourite in odds
range from 1.01 to 1.75.
Pregame Research
HOME TEAM

 Previous 5 Home Games

 4 out of 5 WINS
 Must be UNBEATEN
 No 0-0 draws in past 5 home games.
Pregame Research
AWAY TEAM

 Previous 5 AWAY Games

 No more than 1 win in last 5
Entry Points
 Split stake into 2 parts
 Part 1 is 50%
 Part 2 is 50%
 So £100 becomes £50 & £50.
Entry Points
 Before kick off, go to the “Match
Odds” market
 Back strong home favourite with
50% at their SP
 Let the match go in-play
Exit Points
 For a winning trade, we
need the favourite to go a
goal ahead at some point in
the game.
Exit Points
 In most scenarios, the home team will
take the lead first.
 If this happens we cash out for a profit.
Exit Points
 If the match remains 0-0 and price on
favourite doubles we re-back them with
50%.
 For example, if we backed them @ 1.75
we would re-back them when that price
goes to 2.50
 This creates more VALUE!
Exit Points
 If Away Team takes the lead in the
first half, then we re-back the
favourite at the higher price with
50%.
 Take whatever price is available.
 This is in the first half ONLY
Exit Points
 If favourite is losing at the 70 minute
mark then cash out for a loss.
 Otherwise, stay in till the end.
Exit Points
 If the favourite equalises, we lay off
50% of the risk.
 This lowers our risk but also creates
MORE value on the favourite.
Exit Points
 If Away Team takes the lead in the
second half, then we cash out for a
loss.
Exit Points
 If Away Team goes 0-2 ahead at any
point you cash out for a loss.
Exit Points
Ultimately…

Always cash out when the favourite

goes a goal ahead.
What To Expect
 The favourite will take a first half lead most of the time
 The favourite will also at least equalise most of the
time if they go a goal behind
 The best profits are made when the favourite goes a
goal behind so do not panic!
Mistakes To Avoid
 Not analysing
 Not checking team news
 Playing cup games/friendlies
THE ReBack Strategy
 Identify a match with a really strong home
favourite.
 Back with 50% at the start.
 Then 50% again if price doubles or higher.
 Cash out as soon as favourite goes goal
ahead.
 Take appropriate action otherwise.

Strategy
