INTEGRATION OF LITERACY TO LEARNING INSTRUCTION AMONG READING
TEACHERS

This Division

1. This is to direct all Public Schools District Supervisors, Principal In-charge

and School Heads to enjoin the identified participants on the basics of
teaching reading. This is a 15-unit PRC Accredited Online Course designed
for the Elementary Teachers to equip them on how to teach efficiently and
effectively in reading from October 13-December 2, 2023.

2. In support to the National Learning Recovery Program on the

implementation of National Learning Program, this Training is intended to
improve the competencies of teachers in teaching reading and literacy
integration efficiently and effectively. The following are the enabling
objectives:
a. Capacitate Teachers on integrating literacy through the basics of
teaching reading;
b. Improve the delivery of education services to our learners through
training of teachers based on their needs;
c. Provide teachers with the opportunity to exhibit their understanding
and mastery of learned skills
3. The participation of the teachers in this training is outside of the schedule of

classes. Sessions will be every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00-7:30 pm.

Meanwhile, the “Revalida” and closing program will be scheduled on
Saturday to avoid disruption of classes. Thus, aside from the PRC Accredited
certificate, teachers will be entitled for a 3-day service credits provided that
they have attended all the sessions provided in the attached matrix.

4. As a requirement, all participants shall undergo a Demo-Teaching and a

revalida of their portfolio recording their journey and experiences of the said
training.

5. Attached is the list of participants and their respective sections as well as

the matrix of the Training.
