AVK gate valves are designed with built-in safety in every detail. The wedge is fully vulcanized with AVK’s own drinking water
approved EPDM rubber compound. It features an outstanding durability due to the ability of the rubber to regain its original
shape, the double bonding vulcanization process and the sturdy wedge design. With exchangeable stuffing box stem seal,
the high strength stem and the thorough corrosion protection safeguard the unmatched reliability.

Flanged gate valve with rising stem - UL/FM approved for fire protection applications to max. 70° C
Standards:
· Designed according to FM 1120/1130, UL 262
· Face to face according to ANSI B16.10
· Standard flange drilling to EN1092-2 (ISO 7005-2), PN 10/16
Test/Approvals:
· Hydraulic tests according to FM and UL Standards.
· FM Approved. UL listed.
Features:
· Wedge core in ductile iron, fully encapsulated in drinking water approved EPDM in a 2-step vulcanization process that
leaves a very strong rubber-iron bond preventing corrosion underneath the rubber. No iron parts are exposed to the
water
· Wedge shoes integrated in the rubber
· No hollows or cavities where stagnant water might collect and cause contamination
· Stem of copper alloy C35330
· Gland-follower for re-tightening with three main O-rings
· Round bonnet gasket, fixed in a groove in the bonnet preventing it from being blown out in pressure surges
· Countersunk and hot melt sealed bonnet bolts in stainless steel, encircled by the bonnet gasket preventing contact with
the water
· Full bore and clear way
· Low operating torque
· Epoxy coating acc. to DIN30677 and AVK guidelines, RAL 3000. UV resistant coating on request
