A. Introduction
Novec1230 gas suppression system:
Maintenance of Novec1230 gas sUppression system following its installation is of utmost
importance. Maintenance of fire safety systems, if not done properly and thoroughly, can have
disastrous implications.
Maintenance of fire and life safety systems may be the periodical operational test of the system
and alarms before there is an event requiring the system (i.e. fire) to function. Proper maintenance
will always keep the system ready for each and every events/lincident may/willoccur.
This Checklist outlines general requirements for maintenance of Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing
Systems. Information contained herein applies to typical instances.
The approved drawings and documentation for clean agent Fire Extinguishing System shall
maintain and compare with the present condition of the system or system availability at site to
compare the system error if any at site. Maintenance shall be scheduled in advance.

Aim: The aim of visual check is to check for proper system availability/ damage of equipment as per
guidelines of manufacturer/OEM for their satisfactory operatlon.
Parameters to be checked:
1. ldentification and verification of items Installed at site as per BOQ.
2. Check for physical damage or faulty if any.
3. If any device / parts the faulty immediately repair / replace.
4. Periodic cleaning of detectors have to do during preventive maintenance.

Aim: The functionality and various parameters of AFSS as a complete shall be tested as per the
specification.

1. First of all, removed the electric actuator from master cylinder head before start the system
level functional test.
