The future has already begun: All operating microscopes of the series MLLER ALLEGRA are compatible with the image processing system MLLER MIOS. This system allows recording of procedures as videos or snapshots as well as processing and storing of the image data. Via DICOM the image data can be transferred to the hospital PACS with secure patient identification.

MLLER MIOS

MLLER MEDIS, which includes a high resolution screen, enables the surgeon to view image data (even from external sources) during the operation by briefly looking up from the oculars. Replacing the observer tube, the MLLER MEDIS allows the scrub nurse to follow the ongoing procedure.

MLLER MEDIS

Welcome to the world of Mller-Wedels operating microscopes. For 145 years we have been pioneers in the development of high precision optical systems for medicine and science. Mller-Wedel maintains a Quality Management System for Medical Products according to ISO 13485 and an Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001, certified by TV.
02

The trendsetting developments originate from intensive interchange of ideas with international physicians. Our experienced research and production teams transform innovative ideas into our top class operating microscopes Made in Germany.

2008
Introduction of MLLER MEDIS, the external microscope display, and of the first LED illumination for operating microscopes

The models MLLER ALLEGRA 90, 900, and 590 are optimized for frequently occurring operations in day clinics, surgical centers, and hospitals, where speed and flexibility are decisive factors. All microscopes are characterized by high-resolution apochromatic optics and exceptional user friendliness. Designed for vertical, oblique, and horizontal viewing, these microscopes are the ideal equipment for ophthalmic surgery, but are also well suited for ENT, hand, and reconstructive surgery. In particular, the MLLER ALLEGRA 590 is a true dual-use microscope for eye and ENT operations.

The Operating Microscopes

An observer tube can be mounted to the MLLER ALLEGRA 90 and 900 via beam splitter.

MLLER ALLEGRA 90 The MLLER ALLEGRA 90 is equipped with a 5-step magnification changer. The motorized focus as well as the optional X-Y coupling can be operated via foot switch. This microscope can also be delivered with an integrated camera module. Coaxial illumination, achieved with special optical devices, produces a strong red reflex during ophthalmic operations and brightens narrow pathways in ENT surgery.

MLLER ALLEGRA 900 With its newly designed electromagnetic brakes, the microscope is exceptionally easy to move but stable in the working position. It is equipped with a 1:6 zoom and X-Y coupling. The high-resolution apochromatic optics is complemented with an inclinable eyepiece head and 10x wide angle oculars. In ophthalmic surgery a red reflex enhancer provides ideal recognition of the capsula. Optionally this microscope can be delivered with an integrated camera module.

MLLER ALLEGRA 590 Whenever an operating microscope has to be shared between ophthalmic and ENT surgeons, the MLLER ALLEGRA 590 is the ideal solution. In addition to all features required for ophthalmology, the MLLER ALLEGRA 590 can easily be moved in all directions required in ENT surgery. At the push of a button on the hand grip, the software switches from ophthalmology to the ENT mode. An integrated camera module is standard.

Intraoperative light management All three microscope versions contain a filter disk for selection of daylight, softlight, UV protection (yellow filter), blue light (excitation of fluorescence), and green light (better recognition of blood vessels). Furthermore, two spot filters are available to avoid glare.

The Floor Stands

A new generation
The series FS 2-20 has been specifically designed for comfortable and fast working. Features like the programmable control panel, electromagnetic brakes, outstanding damping, and covered cables make your work more enjoyable. Camera control units or auxiliary light sources can be placed on a tray at the column. A monitor may be mounted on a flexible arm in front of the column, well visible for the surgeon and the scrub nurse. The model FS 2-21 is equipped with a halogen, the FS 2-25 with an LED light source.

Floor stand FS 2-21 or FS 2-25 with MLLER ALLEGRA 900

The floor stand FS 2-11 is equipped with an external halogen light source, the FS 2-15 with LED. Both stands are equipped with mechanical brakes. If only little OR space is available, the floor stand FS 1-12, with mechanical brakes and halogen light source, is recommended in conjunction with the microscope MLLER ALLEGRA 90. Xenon light sources are available on request.
