CHILD LABOR POLICY
I. Objective:
COMPANY respect the rights of children to assistance and protection from neglect,
abuse, cruelty, exploitation and other conditions prejudicial to their development.
II. Definition:
Child:
Any person less than 15 years of age unless local minimum age Law stipulates a
higher age for work or mandatory schooling, in which case the higher age shall
apply. If, however, local minimum age law is set at 14 years of age in accordance
with developing country exceptions under Book II of the Labor Code, the lower will
apply.
Young Person:
A worker over the age of a child as defined and under the age of 18.
Child Labour:
Any work by a child or young person younger than age(s) specified in the above
definitions, which does not comply with the provisions of the relevant Labor Code
Standards, and any work that is likely to be hazardous or interfere with the child’s or
young person’s education, or to be harmful to the child’s or young person’s health
or physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development.
III. Coverage:
This policy absolutely the employment of a person below eighteen (18) years of age.
COMPANY complies with all child labor regulations, which are summarized below:
A. A youth 18 years or older may perform any job, whether hazardous or not,
for unlimited hours.
IV. REMIDIATION CHILD LABOUR
Deliberate ate furnishing of false/tampered and misleading information about
oneself is a serious offense that tantamount to termination as per Rules and
Regulations on Employees Hand Book Letter (a) on page 33 like:
a. Falsification/submission of fake Birth Certificate or any document
with regards to age information such as (SSS, I.D. , Diploma,
Transcript of Records etc.)
b. Giving false information about oneself on submitted Bio-data or
resume.
