Module Content The topic explores about that we as human persons are God’s creation.
(Overview) God created us in His own image and likeness. We are therefore, the
living image of God. We are the “Imago Deo”. Human persons are
truly an image of God and the basis for this belief are the account
stories found in Genesis. God created human beings male and female.
Definitely, God is the source of our life. In this lesson, it explores that
the human person has its moral and social dimension. The lesson gives
importance that man as created in God’s divine image because man is
composed of body and soul. Man is called to become God’s steward of
himself, others, and God’s creation.
Christian Doctrine: Man is the summit of creation, because God created him in
Message his image (Gen1:27). Unlike inanimate objects, plants and animals,
man is a person endowed with a spirit. This characteristic unites him
with God more than with his visible fellow creatures (YouCat 58).
Morals: We are called to exercise responsible stewardship over all
creation (CFC 341).
Worship: In prayer, we thank and praise God for creating us in His
image and likeness. We can express our gratitude to God by praying
Psalm 8.
Learning The lesson is ordered to enable the students to:
Outcomes elaborate the image of God mirrored in the human person
cite concrete examples of how to show in our daily life the truth
that all of us have God’s image within us
express praise and gratitude to God by reciting Psalm 8.
Graduate The learners being God centered and Truth Seeker Community will be able
