Each assembly carries a “code” number which specifies in detail the material(s) and ‘components of the complete liquid handling assembly. ‘The table of “Code Families” below groups all of Precision’s standard liquid handling assemblies. Within each “family group”, all liquid handling codes have similar chemical charac- teristics. That is, pump model 1281-11 would have the same chemical resistance as Model BZQ!-11 or Model 9731-11. The liquid handling code assemblies (indicated by bracketed digits in the foregoing examples) are made of the same materials. Some of these liquid handling assemblies differ only in their connections or in the accessories included.
