Tiling

This risk assessment document contains 3 key steps in a tiling project and identifies associated hazards, risks, and preventative measures for each step. Step 1 involves loading tiles and involves ergonomic and pollution risks that can be prevented through proper lifting techniques, mechanical assistance, and PPE. Step 2 is mixing mortar and grout and risks injuries and safety issues that can be mitigated by having SDS available, rotating workers, and using PPE. Step 3 places tiles and risks back injuries, noise, and falls but training, breaks, PPE, and housekeeping can reduce risks. Monthly reviews are also part of the risk prevention plan.
