COURSE SYLLABUS
Course Number : BA 321
Course Title : Strategic Management
Course Description : The aim of this course is to provide students with a broad interview of the basic concepts in strategic management. Students are exposed to a
number of frameworks and models to better understand and analyze the macro-environment, the industry environment, and firm level resources. The end
goal is for the students to be able to think strategically, as opposed to only having a functional orientation and to formulate and to implement creative and
innovative strategies that are conducive to the demands of the firm and the environment in which it resides. Together with Management Consultancy, this
course serves as an integrative course to be taken in the last term/semester.
Pre-requisite : Production and Operations Management, Principles of Marketing, Financial Management 1, and Good Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility

Program Educational Objectives:
At the end of the program, the students should:
1. Equip the students with concepts, principles and the theories of Operations Management
2. Prepare students in organizing and managing activities in manufacturing and service related businesses.
3. Develop in the students competencies and skills as entrepreneurs and managers.
4. Prepare the students to pursue a teaching career or graduate studies n business.
Program Outcomes:
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program must:
1. convey ideas, both in oral and written in English.
2. prepare, analyze, and evaluate accounting reports, project feasibility studies, proposals, and business plans. .
3. apply the values of fairness, objectivity, accountability, credibility, transparency, hard work, honesty, patience, diligence, innovativeness and risk-taking.
4. demonstrate the ability to access, retrieve and disseminate information using IT.
5. perform quality work
6. apply the concepts and principles of good interpersonal relations
7. have a wholesome personality.
