What filter capacitors your amp uses.

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------

The filter caps I have in stock are mostly for Fenders,

although some other
amps might use them as well. I can get caps for other
amps. Click here to
read about why you should change your filter caps. Here is
what your Fender
uses:

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------

Fender amps:
Blackface/Silverface with reverb 40 watts and higher (in
most cases, see
note below):
3 - 20uf-500v (replaces 20uf-525v that came stock)
2 - 80uf-450v (replaces 70uf-350v that came stock)
7 - 25uf-25v
1- 50uf-50v OR 100uf-100v bias supply filter cap (see note
below on this).

Deluxe Reverb/Vibrolux Reverb:

5 - 16uf-475v (replaces the 16uf-450v that came stock)
7 - 25uf-25v
1 - 25uf-50v (DR), 50uf-50v (VR) (50uf-50v is an upgrade
in Deluxe Reverbs,
and recommended)
Blackface and Silverface Champ and Princetons:
All of these use the 20uf x 4 at 475v can cap. This is fairly
difficult to
replace, ask me before buying one.
Also, these amps need these:
Champ:
2 - 25uf-25v (50v recommended on the power tube
cathode resistor)
1 - 2uf - 25v (don't normally stock this one but ask me if
you need it, I
can get it.)
Vibro-Champ:
Add from above:
1 - 25uf-25v
1 10uf-25v (I can get these) instead of the 2uf-25v
Princeton:
3 - 25uf-25v
1 - 25uf-50v
Princeton Reverb:
6 - 25uf-25v
1 - 25uf-50v

Brown amps 50 watts and higher:

7 - 20uf-600v (20uf-500v should work in most cases, the
20uf-600v is
physically to large to use)
4 - 25uf-25v (Bassman uses 3)
1 - 2uf-25v (I can get these, Bassman does not use this
one)
2 - 8uf-150v (I should be able to get these)

Late '50's Tweed Bassman/Tweed Twin:

1 - 8uf-450v
4 - 20uf-500v

Late '50's Tweed Pro/Super/Bandmaster:

3 - 16uf-475v (replaces 16-450)
1 - 8uf-450v
1 - 100uf-100v

Late '50's Tweed Deluxe:

3 - 16uf-475v (replaces 16-450)
2 - 25uf-25v
1 - 25uf-50v (for power tube cathode resistor bypass)

Late 50's/early '60's Tweed Champ:

1 - 16uf-475v (replaces 16-450)
2 - 8uf-450v
1 - 25uf-50v

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------

Blackface/Silverface 50 watt and higher amps that don't

use what's listed
above:

Non reverb amps used fewer of the 25uf-25v's in the

preamp. Let me know what
amp you have, and I'll figure it out for you.

The AA763 model amps were the very early blackface

circuits. These amps use:

5 - 20uf-500v (replaces 20uf-525v) instead of 3

20uf-500v and 2 80uf-450v.

Later silverface amps that say 70 or 135 watts below the

speaker jacks use
different caps. Email me about this if you need them.

Blackface Bassmans (AB165) use an extra 16uf-475v

(replaces 16uf-450v). The
schematic shows that it should be a 8uf-450v, but the
ones I've seen have
actually had the 16uf-450v. Either one should work.

Also, some silverface amps used more filtering on the bias

supply later on.
The 100uf-100v will cover this nicely.

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------

Marshall and Hiwatt:

These amps use the clamp mount LCR caps. Ask me if you
need these. The
original company is still making these caps.

---------------------------------------------------------
---------------

Other amps:

If you need caps for amps not listed, ask me and I'll see if I
can figure
out what you need. Some amps use strange sized twist
mount can caps that may
be impossible to find. In these cases, sometimes you can
mount standard
axial caps inside the chassis. Sometimes not. Ask me and I'll
see if I can
figure it out.
