From the time that Jesus instituted the Church until it grew, was put to test and renewed, Jesus stayed with His
Church and continued to grace it with his abiding presence, thus the Church is Jesus’ abiding presence in the world.
We, as members of the Church in these contemporary times, are called upon to continue the mission of Jesus as His
presence to the world. This is our personal service to the Church. However, we are called to constant renewal of
ourselves if we have to be missionaries for Jesus. We need to have courage to face the challenge to change. We need
to be authentic Christians so that we can face the challenges of the Church in this contemporary world.
The Church is being “attacked” now. How do you defend it?
