1. Scope of Work (according to the latest API RP 4G, API RP 8B, API, RP 54, API Spec 4F,
API Spec 8C, and OEM guidelines)
2. Complete stripping of Mast and Substructure members/components( Removal of all the pins
and bolt nuts, Removal of all handrails and Removal of all fall arresters)
3. After removing the Pins should be apply NDT, measure and record
4. Complete dismantle all electrical component in the mast and substructure (Lights, fittings,
Camera, cable, speaker, etc.)
5. Complete dismantle all Hydraulic & Airlines ( hard pipes & hoses)
6. Complete dismantle & CAT IV inspection for the Monkey board
7. Complete dismantle & CAT IV inspection for the Dog house
8. An ultrasonic test is to be done on all tubular style (or closed style) members to test for
internal corrosion (Reference from OEM will be shared)
9. Sandblasting/ Hydro washing:
1. All sections, beams, and areas of both Mast and Substructure will be completely
sandblasted & washed
10. Provide a complete CAT-IV documentation package as per API RP-4G, including load test
1. All the weld joints SA 2.5 Sand Blasting. And 100 % examined
2. All welds in critical areas to be inspected using MPI, Liquid Penetrant (PT), or ultrasonic
Testing (UT) in accordance with AWS D1.1
3. Any unknown material grade to conduct PMI then identify the correct WPS
4. Inspection of all fasteners, Replace if needed is the vendor SOW
5. MPI all bolts & studs, evaluate elongation as per ASME PCC-1-2019. replace if required
6. Visual inspection of all secondary retention.
7. UT gauging on Hollow sections
8. Primer coat on all the sandblasting members
9. If there are any cracks (before primer coating), marking tape to be applied on the cracks.
10. Any damage found during the inspection to be defined as Major, Secondary or Minor on the
following basis & rectify as per standards:
• Major damage- significant geometrical distortion or structural damage to primary load-
carrying components, including raising assembly, main legs, hinge points, & crown
• Secondary Damage-damage or distortion to non-primary load-carrying components
• Minor Damage-Damage or distortion to ancillary equipment like ladders, Monkey board,
walk-around, tongs hangers, etc
