Curricular Challenge, project aiming to develop and strengthen collaborative skills among students of
a target age group and their ability to involve members from community outside school staff.
Project Name: PROMOTING VALUES OF DEVOLL REGION (I <3 DEVOLL)
Project Team and Contact: Class XB
AIM: The main aim of this project is to increase student’s ability to cooperate
and collaborate with one another and with members from the community
to produce a final outcome.

OBJECTIVES: Through this project students will be able to:
The main purpose of this project is to encourage the class to work together as one. This
project will bring us together despite our differences, to work as one.
-To help us understand and manage work in a wide group.
-To spot the skills of the pupils in acting, directing, writing, drawing, setting the scene, in
technology, in marketing, advertising, etc.
-To improve our English and learn by this experience.
-To learn detailed information about culture, traditions, history and geography of Devoll
region.
-To strengthen patriotism and love for our amazing region and Albania in general.
-To evaluate the level of English language of the students of 10th grade.
-To make a difference in the students’ cultural life and so in the community life, as well.
-To entrain the public and give them a message through the promotional video.
TOOLS/RESOURCES: cameramen, means of travelling,
community members, speakers and microphones, traditional costumes,
PLACE: internet room, digital class, booked only for this specific activity.
ORGANIZATION: First class: Teacher presents several topics which students can choose from.
Students bring their own ideas.

CALENDAR/TIMELINE:
September. 2022 – introduction to the project, length, brainstorming ideas, models of successful projects
October, 2022 – selecting the topic of the project, group division, stating duties… 1 class)
November, 2022 – collecting information (2classes)
November - December, 2022 – processing information (1 class)
December, 2022 / April, 2023 – elaborating the draft, give necessary recommendations (1 class)
End of school, 2023– presentation (2 classes)
Discovery & Inspiration / Shared Insights / Inquiry Challenges
Students picked up this kind of project for several reasons which well go in parallelism with the
following ideas for the benefits of this activity.
Through this project students will not have only developed their cooperative skills, but they will
have also improved their ability to accept responsibilities and challenges.
It will help them get to know more of English language through putting into English the detailed
information they learn about the culture, traditions, history, geography and touristic attractions of our
region.
They will give themselves the chance to visit places in our area they may have never visited
before or have known very little of.
They may be able to discover new aspects of their personalities, hidden skills they may have been
not aware of until now.
They will boost their self-esteem through the successful results of the project.
They will find out that there are always people ready to give them a hand when they see students
undertake such activities and good intentions.
They will feel valuable and helpful to other people if they can raise the funds they expect through
this project and do something good with it.
They will be more prepared in the future when they have to undergo other group activities at the
university or at the work market, which is one of the main aims of high school.
Cross-Curricular Access
It is related to literature, history, geography, dancing, music and areas of everyday life where students
can express themselves freely.
It involves members of community.
Student Creation
Selection of proper type of excellence and amusement.

EVALUATION
Evaluation will be done based on accuracy and quality of the final product
All students will share the same grade +/- 1,4.
The method of evaluation was explained and agreed upon
The students will be evaluated +/- 1,4 based on their participation and collaborative skills i.e.,
individual performance.
The class will be evaluated based on the final product, presentation, explanation, commenting and
analytic abilities, plus their ability to collaborate with members outside the class.
