1 Objective
Works intructions used to guide the workers in conductig pipe for instrument tubing installations.

3 Procedure Description
3,1 General
3.1.1 Unsure that all requerid drawing, instruction and relevant reference are available prior to
commencing installation activities.
3.1.2 Ensure that there is sufficient available qualities and competent instrument technician to
carry out the installation work, and all personnel are qualified to perform the work and
full familiar with the tools and equipment.
3.1.3 Ensure available of the electrical material, including all necessary hand tools,
construction equipment and related testing and measuring apparatus to perform the work
activites.

3.1.4 Any instrument equipment and apparatus inspected or tested not confirming to
manufacturer's specifications must be reported and brought to the attention of site
representative.
3.1.5 Where possible, all instrument equipment shall be physically checked, inspected and
tested as per project requirement upon receipt at the site prior to installation.
3.1.6 Ensure that work permits are obtained prior to proceeding with the work in the area.
3.1.7 Co-ordinator with owner concerned personel on the schedule of the work and to be
presented smelting E/I maintenance and plant operation.
3,2 Hook Up Drawing
3.2.1 To perform installation tubing is based on approved hook up drawing & actual condition at site
3,3 Standard
3.3.1 From Drawing tobe performed fabricaton/ installation tubing pipe in accordance [with
the IKPT standard installation drawing & hook up drawing.
3.4 Installation Tubing
3.4.1 Preparation of materials and equipment used.
3.4.2 Check of dimension and specification materials.
3.4.3 Is the equipment that will be installed require the support pedestal? if yes then prepare/
support fabrication in according to the required standard and specification.
3.4.4 Install of support and equipment in place.
3.4.5 After equipment installed, perform installation of connector in accordance with size and
specification.
3.4.6 Perform installation tubing with base on hook up drawing and isntallation standard.
3.4.7 For cutting of tubing used tubing cutter and true used cutting grinding machine or cutting plier
3.4.8 After the completion tubing is cut, puree/ smooth exterior with a cutter.
3.4.9 Insert the tip or tubing in the connector, but do not do a tuck on the connector.
3.4.10 Check on again, whether tubing instalation is correct, is already correct than do a tuck on
the connector.
4 Procedure
The following instruction are to be followed for the installation of pneumatic and impluse piping.
4.1 All tube fitiing installed to be of approved type.
4.2 Pipes or tubes installed, but not connected, will have the ends closed in an air approved method
to prevent the entry of any foreign material.
4.3 Where intrument tubes are run parallel to each other, joints will be systematically staggered and
neatly off-set. Tehere will be at least pipes/ tubes adjacents joints.
4.4 Where compression fittings are used the fittings will be installed in strict accordance with the
manufacturer's recommendation.
4.5 The number of joints in pipe work shall be kept to a minimum, consistents with good practice.
4.6 Horizontal runs of pipes and tubes will have pipes/ tubes laid vertically, one above the other, as
far as possible and shall be run with the minimum number of changes of direction consistents
with good parctice and neat appearance.
4.7 All pneumatic signal tubing will be cleaned by blowing through with filtered air before
connection to instrument.
4.8 Single core tubing will be run in such a manner as to give the maximum protection against
mechanical damage the protection follow installation drawing standard.

4.9 Tubing that already used/ bended cannot be used in other area.
5 HSE Task Analisys and Johan
The HSE focused task analisys has identified the following risks / hazards associated with this work
and a set job hazard analysis ( johan ) forms will be prepared for each / hazard see johan doc
Safety precaution:
a. Make sure the PPE is use Correctly
b. Make sure all equipment before using it in good condition and has passed inspection.
c. Ensure all employees who work above the level attended training working at heigth.
d. Use acces up and down and work, with scaffolding that has been in the inspection.
e. Ensure full body harness is hung acces strong and above the head.
f. In the work place should be displayed safety sign.
g. Barricade the work place.
h. Fit to work for working at height location.
