Given the following system of linear equations:

a) Determine the value(s) of the constant k such that the above system has
i) no solution
ii) infinitely many solutions.

b) If you know that a system of linear equations has at least two solutions, how many solutions
does it actually have? Explain your answer.

c) Suppose a 4x6 coefficient matrix has 4 pivot columns. Is the corresponding system of
equations consistent? Justify your answer.
