INTRODUCTION
Antennas form a vital part of all radio
‘communications links and the selection
of the right antenna is as important as
the choice of all other equipments in
the link.
‘The many years of experience gained by
Racal in radio communication system
engineering and their detailed
involvement with widely varied
operational requirements has resulted
in Racal Antennas Limited being able to
offer a comprehensive selection of
antennas, masts and ancillaries, all of
which are carefully chosen both for
engineering excellence and optimum
RF characteristics. To achieve this aim,
Antenna test and measurements
substantial factory, research and
development facilities exist near
Southampton, Hampshire and highly
advanced computerized analysis
equipment is established at Tewkesbury
in Gloucestershire.
Particular attention has been given to
tactical antennas for mobile use
together with support masts designed
for extremely rapid erection. A wide
range of antennas and ancillary
equipment is available for various
frequency ranges, including low power
adjustable HF tactical dipole kits,
broadband HF systems, low profile HF,
VHF and UHF devices and a wide
selection of special purpose antennas,
