What type of venation and roots do plants P and Q each have? Give a reason for your answer.
Answer:
Plant P has veins that are all in straight lines, parallel to each other hence they have parallel
venation.
Plant Q has veins that are net-like and present on both sides of the midrib hence they have
reticulate venation.
Plants with parallel venation in leaves have a brous root system and plants with reticulate
venation in leaves have a taproot system.
Hence, plant P is likely to have a brous root system and plant Q is likely to have a tap root system.
