ِ َوإِنَّه لَ ِذ ْكر ل
}44{ ف تُ ْسأَلُو َن َ ك َول َق ْوِم
َ ك ۖ َو َس ْو َ ٌ ُ َ
And it is a Zikr for you and for your people, and soon you shall be Questioned
[43:44]
، عن حممد بن الفضيل، عن خالد ابن ماد، عن النضر بن شعيب، عن حممد بن احلسني، عن حممد بن حيىي:حممد بن يعقوب

َ ُوح َي إِلَْي ْ استَ ْم ِس
ْ َ ف:) «أوحى اهلل إىل نبيه (صلى اهلل عليه و آله: قال،) عن أيب جعفر (عليه السالم،عن الثمايل
.» و علي هو الصراط املستقيم،] «إنك على والية علي:اط ُم ْستَ ِقي ٍم» [قال

Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, from Al-Nazar
Bin Shuayb, from Khalid Ibn Maad, from Muhammad Bin Al-Fazeyl, from Al-Sumaly,
Abu Ja’farasws having said: ‘Allahazwj Revealed unto Hisazwj Prophetsaww: Therefore
adhere with that which is Revealed unto you, surely you are upon a Straight
Path [43:43], heasws said: ‘Yousaww are upon the Wilayah of Aliasws, and Aliasws, heasws
is the Straight Path’.1

And it has been reported by Ali Bin Abdullah, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Hilal, from
Jabir Bin Yazeed,
Abu Ja’farasws regarding the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic: Therefore
adhere with that which is Revealed unto you [43:43], so heasws said: ‘It is
regarding Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws’.2
يف قوله عز،) عن أيب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم، عن ابين القاسم، عن أبيه، عن احلسني بن سيف،وروي عن حممد بن خالد الربقي

ف َ َو ل َق ْوِم: «قوله: قال،ف تُ ْسئَلُو َن
َ ك يعين عليا أمري املؤمنني (صلوات اهلل عليه) َو َس ْو َ ك َو ل َق ْوِم
َ ك َو َس ْو َ َ َو إِنَّهُ لَذ ْكٌر ل:و جل
.»تُ ْسئَ لُو َن عن واليته
And it has been reported from Muhammad Bin Khalid Al-Barqy, from Al-Husayn Bin Sayf, from his
father, from Ibn Al-Qasim,
Abu Abdullahasws regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic: And it is a Zikr
for you and for your people, and soon you shall be Questioned [43:44], heasws
said: ‘Hisazwj Words: and your people, Means Aliasws Amir-al-Momineenasws, and
you shall soon be questioned - about hisasws Wilayah’.3
(It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’farasws regarding the Words of Allahazwj Mighty
and Majestic: therefore ask the people of Al Zikr if you don’t know [16:43].
Heasws said: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww is the Zikr (Reminder). Iasws and the Imamsasws are the
People of the Reminder (Ahl Al-Zikr)’.
And (as for) the Words of the Mighty and Majestic: And it is a Zikr for you and for
your people, and soon you shall be Questioned [43:44], Abu Ja’farasws said:
‘Weasws are hissaww people, and weasws would be asked’.4

فليس حيل لحد، فهم والة الناس و أوالهم، أمر اهلل الناس يسألوهنم، و هم املسؤولون،أهل بيته (صلوات اهلل عليهم) أهل الذكر
.»من الناس أن يأخذ هذا احلق الذي افرتضه اهلل هلم
And from him, from Al-Husayn Bin Aamir, from Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, from Ibn Fazaal, from Abu
Jameela, from Muhammad Al-Halby,
Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘The Words of the Mighty and Majestic ‘And it is a
Zikr for you and for your people, and soon you shall be Questioned [43:44], so
Rasool-Allahsaww is the Zikr, and the Peopleasws of hissaww Household are the
Peopleasws of the Zikr ()أهل الذكر, and theyasws are the questioned ones. Allahazwj has
Commanded the people to ask themasws, and they are the Guardians of the people
and are superior than them. So it is not for anyone from the people that he should
take this right which Allahazwj has Obligated for themasws’.5
‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws about the testimony of a son of adultery (bastard), ‘Is it
allowed?’ So heasws said: ‘No’. So I said, ‘Al-Hakam Bin Oteyba is alleging that it is
allowed?’ So heasws said: ‘O Allahazwj! Do not Forgive his sins. Allahazwj did not Say to
Al Hakam: And it is a Zikr for you and for your people [43:44]. So let Al-Hakam
go right and left, for, by Allahazwj, he will not find the knowledge except from the
Peopleasws of the Household. Jibraeelas descends unto themasws’.6

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Al-Hassan Bin Mahboub,
from Abu Hamza Sabit Bin Dinar Al-Thamaly and Abu Mansour, from Abu Al-Tabi’e who said:
‘We went on Hajj with Abu Ja’farasws in the year in which Hisham Abdul Malik was
performing the Hajj as well, and along with him was Nafa’u, a slave of Umar Bin Al-
Khattaab. So Nafa’u looked towards Abu Ja’farasws in the corner of the House and
the people had gathered around him’. Nafa’u said, ‘O commander of the faithful, who
is this one around whom the people have gathered?’ He said, ‘This is a Prophet of
the people of Al-Kufa. This is Muhammadasws Bin Aliasws’. He said, ‘Be a witness for I
shall ask himasws about certain matters that nobody can answer with regards to it
except for a Prophetas or a sonasws of a Prophetas, or a successorasws of a Prophetas’.
He said, ‘So go ahead and ask himasws, perhaps you can embarrass himasws’.
He (the narrator) said, ‘Abu Ja’farasws raised hisasws head and said; ‘Ask about
whatever comes to you’ He said, ‘Inform me, how many years were there in between
Isaas and Muhammadsaww?’ Heasws said: ‘Shall Iasws inform you in accordance to your
words or mineasws?’ He said, ‘Inform me in accordance to both together’. He asws said:
‘In accordance to myasws words, so there were five hundred years, and in accordance
to your words there were six hundred years’.
الر ْح ِن ِآهلَةً يُ ْعبَ ُدو َن َم ِن الَّ ِذي ِ ك ِمن رسلِنا أَ جع ْلنا ِمن د

ُ ُ ْ َ َخ ْربِِّن َع ْن قَ ْول اللَّه َعَّز َو َج َّل لنَبيِّه َو ْسئَ ْل َم ْن أ َْر َس ْلنا م ْن قَ ْبل َ َق
يسى َخَْ ُس ِماِئَِة َسنَ ٍة ِ سأ ََل ُحم َّم ٌد (صلى اهلل عليه وآله) و َكا َن ب ي نَه و ب
َ ني ع َ ْ َ َ ُ َْ َ َ َ
He said, ‘Inform me about the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic to Hisazwj
Prophetsaww: And ask ones We Sent from before you from Our Rasools, did We
Make from besides the Beneficent, a God they should be worshipping? [43:45].
Who was the one that Muhammadsaww asked since there were five hundred years in
between himsaww and Isaas?’

He (the narrator) said, ‘So Abu Ja’farasws said: ‘This is the Verse: Glorified is He
Who Journeyed His Servant on a night from the Sacred Masjid to Masjid Al
Aqsa Which We have Blessed its precincts in order to Show him form Our
Signs. Surely he is the Hearing, the Seeing [17:1]. It was from the Signs which
Allahazwj Blessed and Exalted Showed to Muhammad saww where Heazwj was
journeyed with to Bayt Al Maqdas, that Allahazwj, Mighty is Hisazwj Mention,
Assembled the former ones and the latter ones from the Prophets as and the
Mursilsas.

َال َهلُ ْم َعلَى َما تَ ْش َه ُدو َن َو َما ُكْنتُ ْم تَ ْعبُ ُدو َن قَالُوا نَ ْش َه ُد أَ ْن َال إِلَه َ َف ق َ ْصلَّى بالْ َق ْوم فَلَ َّما ان
َ صَر َ ََّم ُحمَ َّم ٌد (صلى اهلل عليه وآله) ف َ ُُثَّ تَ َقد
ودنَا َو َم َواثِي َقنَا ِ ِ ُ َّك رس
َ ك ُع ُه َ َخ َذ َعلَى َذل َ ول اللَّه أ َ إَِّال اللَّهُ َو ْح َدهُ َال َش ِر
ُ َ َ يك لَهُ َو أَن
Then Muhammadsaww proceeded and led Salat with the people. When hesaww had
finished, hesaww asked them: ‘What did you testify to and what did you worship?’
They replied, ‘We testified that there is no god except Allah azwj, One with no
associates to Himazwj, and that yousaww are the Rasoolsaww of Allahazwj, and it is upon
that, that Heazwj Took a Covenant from us and the Confirmation’.

«فإذا: يف حديث اْسراء،) قال يل رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله: قال، عن عبد اهلل بن مسعود، عن علقمة،حممد بن سوقة
على ماذا بعثتم؟: سل من أرسلنا من قبلك من رسلنا، يا حممد: فقال،ملك قد أتاِّن
Muhammad Bin Al-Abbas, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Al-Hasany, from Ali Bin Ibrahim Al-Qatan, from
Abaad Bin Yaqoub, from Muhammad Bin Al-Fazal, from Muhammad Bin Sowqat, from Alqama, from
Abdullah Bin Mas’oud who said,

Isaww said to themas: ‘O group of the Rasoolsas and the Prophetsas, upon what
(stipulation) did Allahazwj Send youas all before mesaww?’ Theyas said: ‘Upon yoursaww
Wilayah, O Muhammadsaww, and the Wilayah of Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws’.8
قال: قال، بإسناده عن ابن عباس، حدثنا حممد بن الساِئب: قال، بإسناده إىل حممد بن مروان،احلسن بن أيب احلسن الديلمي
فرأيت بيتا من ياقوت، انتهى يب املسري مع جربِئيل إىل السماء الرابعة، «ملا عرج يب إىل السماء:)رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله
. فصل فيه، خلقه اهلل قبل خلق السماوات و الرضني خبمسني ألف عام، هذا البيت املعمور، يا حممد: فقال يل جربِئيل،أحر
Al-Hassan Bin Abu Al-Hassan Al-Daylami, by his chain going up to Muhammad Bin Marwan, from
Muhammad Bin Al-Sa’ib, by his chain,
Ibn Abbas narrates that Rasoo-Allahsaww said: ‘When Isaww Ascended to the sky, Isaww
ended up in the journey, at the fourth sky. So Isaww saw a House of red sapphire.
Jibraeelas said to mesaww: ‘O Muhammadsaww! This is the Frequented House (Bayt Al
Mamour). Allahazwj Created it before the creation of the skies and the firmaments by
fifty thousand years, therefore pray Salat in it’.
يا: فقال، فلما سلمت أتاِّن آت من عند ريب. فصليت هبم، فصفهم جربِئيل صفا، و مجع اهلل النبيني و املرسلني،فقمت للصالة
على ماذا أرسلتم من قبلي؟: سل الرسل: و يقول لك، ربك يقرِئك السالم،حممد
So Isaww established the Salat, and Allahazwj Gathered the Prophetsas and the
Rasoolsas. Jibraeelas organised themas in rows, and Isaww Prayed with themas (praying
Salat behind mesaww). So when Isaww greeted (Completed the Salat), there came a
Messenger from the Presence of mysaww Lordazwj and said: ‘O Muhammadsaww!
Yoursaww Lordazwj Coveys Hisazwj Greetings to yousaww, and is Saying to yousaww: “Ask
the Rasoolsas, upon what (stipulation) were theyas all Sent from before mesaww?’
: و ذلك قوله تعاىل، على واليتك و والية علي بن أيب طالب: على ماذا بعثكم ريب قبلي؟ قالوا، معاشر النبياء و الرسل:فقلت
.»ك ِم ْن ُر ُسلِنا ِ
َ َو ْسئَ ْل َم ْن أ َْر َسلْنا ِم ْن قَ ْبل
So Isaww said: ‘O group of Prophetsas and the Rasoolsas! Upon what (stipulation) did
mysaww Lordazwj Sent youas all, before mesaww?’ They said: ‘Upon yoursaww Wilayah,
and the Wilayah of Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws’ – and these are the Words of the
Exalted: And ask ones We Sent from before you from Our Rasools [43:45]’.9

Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘Ourasws Wilayah, is the Wilayah of Allahazwj. Allahazwj
never Sent a Prophetsaww, except with it’.10
: قال،) عن أيب احلسن (عليه السالم، عن حممد بن الفضيل، عن ابن حمبوب، عن أحد بن حممد، عن حممد بن حيىي:وعنه
و لن يبعث اهلل رسوال إال بنبوة حممد (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) و وصية،« والية علي (عليه السالم) مكتوبة يف مجيع صكف النبياء

And from him, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from
Muhammad Bin Al-Fazeyl,
Abu Al-Hassanasws having said: ‘Wilayah of Aliasws is Written in all the Books of the
Prophetsas, and Allahazwj never Sent a Rasoolas except with the Prophet-hood of
Muhammadsaww and the successorship of Aliasws’.11
روي مسندا،) و مما ورد يف أن أمري املؤمنني (عليه السالم) أفضل من النبيني (صلوات اهلل عليهم: قال،شرف الدين النجفي
» أي اْخوة أفضل؟، «يا جابر:) قال يل رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله: عن جابر بن عبد اهلل (رضي اهلل عنه) أنه قال،مرفوعا
. البنون من الب و االم: قلت:قال
‘And from what has been reported regarding that Amir-al-Momineenasws is superior
than the Prophetsas, is a correct report with an unbroken chain going up to Jabir Bin
Abdullah who said, ‘Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘O Jabir! Which of the brothers are
superior?’ I said, ‘The sons from the (same) father and mother’.
، فهو عندي أفضل من النبياء، و أحب اْخوة إيل علي بن أيب طالب، و أنا أفضلهم، «إنا معاشر النبياء إخوة:فقال
So hesaww said: ‘The group of Prophetsas are brothers, and Isaww am superior than
themas all, and the most beloved of the brothers to me saww is Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws,
thus heasws is superior with mesaww than the Prophetsas.
لِّن مل أُتذ عليا أخا إال ملا علمت من، و من جعلين أقلهم فقد كفر، فقد جعلين أقلهم،فمن زعم أن النبياء أفضل منه
.»فضله
So the one who claims that the Prophetsas are superior than himasws, so he has
belittled himasws, and the one who belittles him asws has committed kufr, because Isaww
did not take Aliasws as a brother except that Isaww know of hisasws merits’.12
، عن رجاله مسندا، ملا روى املفضل بن عمر املهليب، املماثلة يف الفضل إال النبوة: و بيان ذلك أن معىن االخوة بينهما:ُث قال
قال رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) لعلي (عليه: قال،) حدثين أبو احلسن موسى (عليه السالم: قال،عن حممد بن ثابت
.» و ال مثل لك إال أنا، فال نظري يل إال أنت، و أنت وجه اهلل املؤمت به، « أنا رسول اهلل املبلغ عنه:)السالم

Then said, ‘And that has been explained, the meaning of the brotherhood between
the two (Rasool-Allahsaww and Aliasws), having similarity in the merits except for the
Prophet-hood, is what Mufazzal Bin Umar Al-Mahalby reported from his men, a
correct report, from Muhammad Bin Sabit who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan Musaasws
narrated to me saying: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww said to Aliasws: ‘Isaww am a Rasoolsaww of
Allahazwj, the Preacher from Himazwj, and youasws are the Face of Allahazwj Conferred
by Himazwj. Therefore there is no match for mesaww except for youasws, and no
similarity to youasws except for mesaww’.13
VERSES 46 & 47
: قال،) عن أبيه موسى بن جعفر (عليهم السالم، عن الرضا، عن معمر، عن احلسن بن ظريف،عبد اهلل بن جعفر احلمريي
- و ذكر احلديث إىل أن قال- إذ دخل عليه نفر من اليهود،«كنت عند أيب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم) ذات يوم و أنا طفل َخاسي
. أخربنا عن اآليات التسع الِت أوتيها موسى بن عمران:قالوا
Abdullah Bin Ja’far Al Humeyri, from Al Hassan Bin Zareyf, from Mo’mar,
‘From Al-Rezaasws, from hisasws fatherasws Musaasws Bin Ja’farasws having said: ‘Iasws
was in the presence of myasws fatherasws Abu Abdullahasws one day, and Iasws was a
child of five (years old), when a number of Jews entered to see him asws’ – and heasws
mentioned the Hadeeth until heasws said: ‘They said, ‘Inform us about the nine Signs
which were Given to Musaas Bin Imranas’.
و املن و السلوى آية، و رفع الطور، و الدم، و الضفادع، و القمل، و اجلراد، و إخراجه يده من جيبه بيضاء، العصا:قلت
.» صدقت: قالوا. و فلق البكر،واحدة
Iasws said: ‘The staff, and hisas bringing our hisas hand from hisas pocket as white, and

and the manna and the quails being one Sign, and splitting the sea’. They said,
‘Youasws speak the truth’.14
VERSE 48
ت أَبَا َعْب ِد اللَّ ِه ع ِيف طَ ِر ِيق َم َّكةَ ِم َن الْ َم ِدينَ ِة فَنََزلْنَا ِ :ال ِ ِ
َ َ ََص ِّم َع ْن َعْبد اللَّه بْ ِن بَ ْك ٍر ْال ََّر َج ِاِّنِّ ق
ُ صكْب
ِ ِ ِ ِْ و ِهب َذا
َ اْ ْسنَاد َع ْن َعْبد اللَّه ْال َ َ
ِ ِ ِ
ٍ َس َوَد َع ْن يَ َسا ِر الطَّ ِر ِيق ُموح ِ
تُ ْاجلَبَ َل َما َرأَي ْ ش َه َذا َ ت لَهُ يَا ابْ َن َر ُسول اللَّه ص َما أ َْو َحُ ش فَ ُق ْل ْ ال لَهُ ُع ْس َفا ُن ُُثَّ َمَرْرنَا ِبَبَ ٍل أُ َمْن ِزًال يُ َق
ِيف الطَّ ِر ِيق ِمثْ َل َه َذا
And by this chain, from Abdullah Al Asamma, from Abdullah Bin Bakeyr Al Arjany who said,
ِ ِ ال لَه الْ َكم ُد و هو علَى و ٍاد ِمن أَوِدي ِة جهن ُّ ال ِيل يَا ابْ َن بَ ْك ٍر أَ تَ ْد ِري أ
َ َِّم َو فيه قَتَلَةُ أ
َيب َ َ َ َ ْ ْ َ َ َ ُ َ َ ُ ُ ال َه َذا َجبَ ٌل يُ َق ُ َي َجبَ ٍل َه َذا قُ ْل
َ َت َال ق َ فَ َق
استَ ْوَد َع ُه ْم فِ ِيه
ْ ني ع ِ ْ احلُس
َْ
So heasws said to me: ‘O Ibn Bakeyr! Do you know which mountain is this?’ I said,
‘No’. Heasws said: ‘This is a mountain called Al-Kamad, and it is upon a valley from
the valleys of Hell, and in it, they (the killers) of myasws fatherasws Al-Husaynasws have
been deposited into it.
ٍ ِ ِ ِ ِّ احلَ ِمي ِم َو َما ََيُْر ُج ِم ْن ُج ِ الص ِد ِ ََِْت ِري ِم ْن ََْتتِ ِهم ِميَاهُ َج َهنَّم ِمن الْغِسل
ُ اجلَ ِوي َو َما ََيُْر ُج م َن الْ َفلَق م ْن أَثَام َو َما ََيُْر
ج ْ ب ْ يد َو َّ ني َو ْ َ َ ْ
ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ْ ِمن ِطينَ ِة
ُ احلَمي ِم َو َما ََيُْر
ج ْ َو َما ََيُْر ُج م ْن َس َقَر َو َما ََيُْر ُج م َن-احلُطَ َمة ْ ج م ْن لَظَى َو م َن ُ َّم َو َما ََيُْر
َ ج م ْن َج َهنُ اْلَبَال َو َما ََيُْر ْ

There flows beneath them the waters of Hell, from the refuse, and the pus, and the
scalding water, and what comes out from the bodily fluids, and what comes out from
the cleavages of sinners, and what comes out from the seepage of the prostitutes,
and what comes out from Hell, and what comes out from Lazy (a valley of Hell), and
from Al-Hutama (a valley of Hell), and what comes out from Saqar (a valley of Hell),
and what comes out from Al-Hameem (a valley of Hell), and what comes out from Al-
Hawiya (a valley of Hell), and what comes out from Al-Saeer (a valley of Hell).

And the most intense of the two in beseeching and the yielding is the second one
(Umar). So, sometimes Iasws tend to pause by them in order to reassure part of what
is in myasws heart, and sometimes Iasws tread upon the mountain in which these two
are, and it is mount Al-Kamad’.
He (the narrator) said, ‘I said to himasws, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! So when you
tread on the mountain, what do youasws hear?’ Heasws said: ‘Iasws hear their voices
calling out, ‘Ascend the mountain, we want to speak to you asws, for we repent!’ And
Iasws hear their screams from the mountain screaming at me asws, and Iasws say to
them: ‘Keep quiet therein and do not speak!’
ال ُك ُّل فِْر َع ْو ٍن َعتَا َعلَى اللَّ ِه َو َح َكى اللَّهُ َعْنهُ فِ َعالَهُ َو ُك ُّل َم ْن َعلَّ َم الْعِبَ َاد الْ ُك ْفَر
َ َت فِ َد َاك َو َم ْن َم َع ُه ْم ق ِ

He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you asws! And who (else) is with
them?’ Heasws said: ‘Every pharaoh who transgressed against Allah azwj, and Allahazwj
Told about his deeds, and everyone who taught Kufr to the servants’.
يح ابْ ُن اللَّ ِه َو ِ ِ َّ َن ي َد اللَّ ِه م ْغلُولَةٌ و ََْنو نَسطُور الَّ ِذي علَّم النَّصارى أ ِ ِال ََنو بول
َ يسى الْ َمسَ َن ع ََ َ َ َ ْ ُ َ َ َ س الَّذي َعلَّ َم الْيَ ُه
َ َّ ود أ َ ُ ُ ْ َ َت َم ْن ُه ْم ق ُ فَ ُق ْل
ت َم ْن ِيف ِ ت أ َْهل ْال َْر
ُ ض َو قَتَْل َ َود الَّ ِذي ق
َ ُ ال قَ َه ْر َ أَنَا َربُّ ُك ُم ْال َْعلى َو ََْن ُو َُُّْر-ال َ َوسى الَّ ِذي ق ِ ِ

ِ ْ احلُس ْ اط َمةَ َو ُحمَ ِّس ٍن َو قَاتِ ِل ِ َالسم ِاء و قَاتِ ِل أ َِم ِري الْمؤِمنِني ع و قَاتِ ِل ف

So I said, ‘And who are they?’ Heasws said: ‘Like Paul who taught the Jews that the
Hand of Allahazwj is Tied up, and like Nestorius who taught the Christians that Isaas
the Messiah is a son of Allahazwj, and said to them, ‘Three (gods)’, and like Pharaoh la
of Musaas who said, ‘Ila am your highest lord!’, and like Nimrodla who said, ‘Iasws will

subdue the people of the earth and kill the ones in the sky’, and the killer of Amir Al-
Momineenasws, and murderer of (Syeda) Fatimaasws, and Mohsinasws, and killers of Al-
Hassanasws and Al-Husaynasws.
ِ ِ ُال يا ابْن ب ْك ٍر إِ َّن قُلُوب نَا َغ ْري قُل ِ قُ ْلت لَه جعِْل
صطََف ْو َن َ َّاس إِنَّا ُمطيعُو َن ُم
ْ صف َّْو َن ُم ِ وب الن ُ َ َ َ َ َ َت تَ ْس َم ُع َذا ُكلَّهُ َو َال تُ ْقَرعُ ق َ ْت ف َد َاك فَأَن ُ ُ ُ ُ
ب ِيف فُ ُرِشنَا َو تَ ْش َه ُد طَ َعا َمنَا َو َّ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ ِ
ُ َّاس َو إ َّن الْ َم َالِئ َكةَ تَْنزُل َعلَْينَا يف ر َحالنَا َو تَتَ َقل
ُ َّاس َو نَ ْس َم ُع َما َال يَ ْس َم ُع الن ُ نََرى َما َال يََرى الن
ِ
ث قَ ْب َل أَ ْن يَ ُكو َن ْ ضُر َم ْوتَانَا َو تَأْتينَا بِأ
ُ َخبَا ِر َما َْحي ُد ُ ََْت
I said to himasws, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! So youasws heard that, all of it, and
did not chide (tell off)?’ Heasws said: ‘O Ibn Bakeyr! Ourasws hearts are other than the
hearts of the people. Weasws are obedient (to Allahazwj, lined up in rows, Chosen.
Weasws see what the people cannot see, and we asws hear what the people cannot
hear, and that the Angels descend unto usasws during ourasws travels, and they turn in
ourasws beds, and attend ourasws meals, and are present at ourasws deaths, and they
come to usasws with news of what is to occur before it even happens.
And they pray Salat with usasws, and supplicate for usasws, and cast their wings upon
usasws, and turn ourasws children upon their wings, and prevent the animals from
arriving to usasws, and come to usasws from what is in the earth from every plant in its
time, and quench usasws from the water of every land. We tend to find that in our asws
utensils, and there is none from a day, nor an hour, nor a time for Salat, except and it
is prepared for it, and there is none from a night which comes upon us asws except
and the news of every land is with usasws, and what occurs therein, and news of the
Jinn, and news of the inhabitants of the air, from the Angels.
ني إِ َىل ِ ِ ِ ِ ٍ ض و ي ُقوم َغريه إَِّال أَتَانَا خربه و َكيف ِسريتُه ِيف الَّ ِذين قَبلَه و ما ِمن أَر ٍِ ِ
َ ض م ْن ستَّة أ ََرض ْ ْ َ َُْ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ َُُ َ ُُ ْ ُ َ َ ِ وت ِيف ْال َْر ُ ََُو َما م ْن َملك َي
السابِ َع ِة إَِّال َو ََْن ُن نُ ْؤتَى ِخبََِربِه ْم
َّ
And there is none from king dying in the earth, and someone else standing except
they come to usasws with his news, and how are his ways regarding those before him.
And there is none from an earth, from six firmaments up to the firmament, except
and weasws are given its news’.

So I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! Where is the end-point of this mountain?’
Heasws said: ‘Up to the seventh (sixth) firmament, and therein is hell upon a valley
from its valleys. Upon it are keepers more than (the number of) the stars of the sky,
and drops of the rain, and number of what is in the sea, and number of the (grains of
the) soil. Every Angel from them has been allocated with something, and he is
established upon it, not separating from it’.
I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! All of them are casting the news to you asws?’
Heasws said: ‘No! But rather, that is cast to the Master of the Command, and I asws
near what the servants are not able upon the government in it. So we asws judge with
regards to it. So one who does not accept ourasws decisions, the Angels compel him
upon ourasws words and instruct those who are around to enforce him upon our asws
words, and even if he is from the Jinn from the people of the opposition and the Kufr,
grappling him and punishing him until he comes to what weasws had judged with’.
Iasws said, ‘May I be sacrificed for youasws! So, does the Imamasws see what is
between the east and the west?’ Heasws said: ‘O Ibn Bakr! How can heasws be a
Divine Authority of Allahazwj upon what is between its two horizons, and heasws cannot
see them and cannot judge among them? And how can he asws be a Divine Authority
upon an absent people, not being able upon them, nor they are able upon him asws?
And how can heasws happen to be a trustee from Allahazwj and a witness upon the
creatures, and heasws cannot see them? And how can heasws happen to be a Divine
Authority upon them and heasws is veiled from them?
And there has been Made to be between them and him asws that heasws stands with
the Command of hisasws Lordazwj among them, and Allahazwj is Saying: And We did
not Send you except to all of the people [34:28] – meaning by it ones upon the
earth, and the Divine Authority from after the Prophetsaww would be standing in the
place of the Prophetsaww from after himsaww, and heasws is the evidence upon what the

community would be quarrelling in, and the seizer of the rights of the people, and the
oneasws standing by the Command of Allahazwj, and the fairness for some upon the
others.
So when there does not happen to be with them one who can implement His azwj
Words and Heazwj is Saying: We will be Showing them Our Signs in the horizons
and within their own selves, until it becomes clear to them that it is the Truth
[41:53], so which Sign in the horizons apart from usasws would Allahazwj Show the
people of the horizons? And Heazwj Said: And We did not Show them a Sign but it
was greater than its counterpart [43:48]. So which Sign is greater than usasws?
By Allahazwj! The Clan of Hashimasws and Quraysh do recognise what Allahazwj has
Given usasws, but the envy destroyed them, just as it destroyed Ibleesla, and they
come to usasws when they are desperate and fear upon themselves, so they are
asking us, and weasws clarify for them, and they are saying, ‘We testify that you asws
are the people of the knowledge’. Then they are going out, so they are saying, ‘We
have not seen anyone more straying than the ones who follow them asws and accept
theirasws words’.
ِاحلسني ع مع أَبِيه َ َش َكانُوا َِِج ُدو َن ِيف قَ ِْربهِ َشْيئاً ق ِ قُ ْلت جعِْل
َ َال يَا ابْ َن بَ ْك ٍر َما أ َْعظَ َم َم َساِئِل
َ َ ُ ْ َ ُْ ك ِ ْ َخِربِِّن َع ِن ا ْحلُس
َ ِني ع لَ ْو نُب َ ْ ْ ت ف َد َاك أُ ُ ُ
ِ ِ ِ ْ َو أ ُِّم ِه َو أ َِخيه
احلَ َس ِن ِيف َمْن ِزل َر ُسول اللَّه ص ُْحيبَ ْو َن َك َما ُْحي ََب َو يُْرَزقُو َن َك َما يُْرَز ُق ِ

ُش ِيف أَيَّامه لَُوج َد َو أ ََّما الْيَ ْوَم فَ ُه َو َحي عْن َد َربِّه يُْرَز ُق َو يَْنظُُر إِ َىل ُم َع ْس َك ِرهِ َو يَْنظُُر إِ َىل الْ َع ْر ِش َم ََّت يُ ْؤَمُر أَ ْن َْحيملَهُ َو إِنَّه َ ِفَلَ ْو نُب

َْ ْز ِيل َما َو َع ْدتَِين ِّ ول يَا َر ِ ِلَ َعلَى ََي
ُ ني الْ َع ْر ِش ُمتَ َعلِّ ٌق يَ ُق
So if we were to dig during hisasws days, heasws would be found, and as for today, so
heasws is alive in the Presence of hisasws Lordazwj being Sustained, and heasws looks at
hisasws soldiers, and heasws looks at the Throne, when heasws would be Commanded
to hold it. And heasws is on the right of the Throne, saying: ‘O Lordazwj! Fulfil for measws
what Youazwj Promised measws!’

َ َْسَاء آبَاِئه ْم َو ب َد َر َجاِت ْم َو َّبَْن ِزلَته ْم عْن َد اللَّه م ْن أ َ ْ ُ َو إنَّهُ لَيَْنظُُر إ َىل ُزَّواره َو ُه َو أ َْعَر
ِ ُ َم ْن يَْب ِك ِيه فَيَ ْستَ ْغ ِفُر لَهُ َر ْحَةً لَهُ َو يَ ْسأ َُل أَبَاهُ ِاال ْستِ ْغ َف َار لَهُ َو يَ ُق
تَ ت أَ ْكثََر ممَّا َج ِز ْع َ َول لَ ْو تَ ْعلَ ُم أَيُّ َها الْبَاكِي َما أ ُِع َّد ل
َ ك لََف ِر ْح
And heasws looks at hisasws visitors, and heasws recognises them, and by the names of
their fathers, and by their ranks, and by their statuses in the Presence of Allah azwj,
from one of them by his son, and what (provisions are) in his ride. And he asws sees
the one who cry for himasws, so heasws seeks Forgiveness for him, (and) for Mercy for
him, and heasws asks hisasws fatherasws for seeking for the Forgiveness for him, and
heasws is saying: ‘If only you knew, O you crying one, what is prepared for you, you
would be joyful much more than what you are alarmed about’.
VERSES 49 - 56
ۖ صَر َو َٰه ِذهِ ْالَنْ َه ُار ََْت ِري ِم ْن ََْت ِِت ِ ُ ْأَلَيس ِيل مل
ْكم ُ َ ْ ال يَا قَ ْوِم
َ ََونَ َاد ٰى فِْر َع ْو ُن ِيف قَ ْوِم ِه ق
}51{ صُرو َن ِ أَفَ َال تُب

And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people. He said, ‘O my people! Isn’t the
kingdom of Egypt for me, and (so are) these rivers flowing beneath me, can
you not see? [43:51]

Am I not better than this one? He is despicable and can hardly speak clearly
[43:52]

َ ف قَ ْوَمهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّ ُه ْم َكانُوا قَ ْوًما فَاسق

Thus, he bluffed his people and they obeyed him. They were a transgressing
people [43:54]
}55{ نيِ ْ فَلَ َّما آس ُفونَا انْتَ َقمنَا ِمْن هم فَأَ ْغرقْ نَاهم أ
َ َمجَع ُْ َ ُْ ْ َ
Then when they Angered Us, We Took Revenge from them, so We Drowned
them altogether [43:55]

َ اه ْم َسلَ ًفا َوَمثًَال ل ْْلخ ِر
}56{ ين ُ َفَ َج َع ْلن
And We Made them to be a precedent and an example for the latter ones
[43:56]

(Tafseer) Qummi – An extract, and he linked his Hadeeth in Al-Majmua to Al-
Baqirasws and Al-Sadiqasws having said:
Then Musaas came and said to himla: ‘Leave the Children of Israel (to go free)’. But
hela did not do so, and Allahazwj Sent down the flood upon them during that year, and
it ruined their houses and their dwellings to the extent that they went out to the
wilderness and pitched the tents.

َ مْنهُ َو َملْ َُيَ ِّل َع ْن بَين إ ْسَراِئ
Pharaohla said to Musaas, ‘Supplicate to youras Lordazwj until Heazwj Stops the deluge
from us and Ila will free the Children of Israel and youras companions’. So Musaas
supplicated to hisas Lordazwj, and the deluge was stopped from them, and heas
thought that Pharaohla would free the Children of Israel. But, Haman said to him la, ‘If
youla free the Children of Israel, Musaas would overcome youla and your kingdom
would decline’. So hela accepted from him and did not free the Children of Israel.
Then Allahazwj Sent down the locusts upon them during the second year, and they
devoured everything which was for them, from the vegetation and the trees, to the
extent that they devoured their hair and their beards. So he la panicked from that with
an intense panic and said, ‘O Musaas! Supplicate to youras Lordazwj to Stop the
locusts from us, and Ila will free the Children of Israel and youras companions’. So
Musaas supplication to hisas Lordazwj, and the locusts were stopped from them. But,
Haman did not let himla free the Children of Israel.
ِ ِ ِ ِ َّ ك ِ
،يل
َ فَلَ ْم َُيَ ِّل َع ْن بَين إ ْسَراِئ،الزَمان َ ال أ ََّو ُل َما َخلَ َق اللَّهُ الْ ُق َّم ُل ِيف َذل
َ ََو ق
And heasws said: ‘The first of what Allahazwj Created of the lice was during that time.
But, hela did not free the Children of Israel.
Then Allahazwj Sent the frogs unto them after that, and they used to be in their foods
and their drinks. So they panicked from that with intense panic, and they came to
Musaas and they said, ‘Supplicate to Allahazwj that Heazwj Removes the frogs from us,
for we believe youas and we would send the Children of Israel with you’. So Musa as
supplicated to hisas Lordazwj, and Allahazwj Lifted that from them.

So when hela freed the, they gathered to Musaas, and Musaas went out from Egypt,
and there had (also) ones who had escaped from Pharaoh la, and (news of) that
reached Pharaohla. But Haman said to himla, ‘I had prevented youla from freeing the
Children of Israel, and they have (now) gathered to himas. So Pharaohla panicked
and sent collectors into the cities, and went out seeking Musa as.16

And when an example is struck for the son of Maryam, then your people are
laughing loudly [43:57]
}59{ يلِإِ ْن هو إَِّال عب ٌد أَنْعمنَا علَي ِه وجع ْلنَاه مثًَال لِب ِين إِسراِئ

Surely he is only a servant We Favoured upon and We Made him an example
for the Children of Israel [43:59]
ِ َولَ ْو نَ َشاءُ َجلَ َع ْلنَا ِمْن ُك ْم َم َالِئِ َكةً ِيف ْال َْر

And had We so Desired, We would have Made from you Angels in the earth
succeeding (each other) [43:60]

«اآلن يدخل عليكم: بينما النيب (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) يف نفر من أصكابه إذ قال: قال، عن ابن عباس، عن أيب صاحل،الكليب
.» «ال: هو هذا؟ فقال: فقالوا، فدخل عمر.» «ال: هو هذا؟ فقال: فقالوا، فدخل أبو بكر.»نظري عيسى بن مرَي يف أمِت
.» «نعم: هو هذا؟ فقال:فدخل علي (عليه السالم) فقالوا
Muhammad Bin Al-Abbas, from Al-Aziz Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Zakariyya, from Muhammad
Bin Umar Al-Hanafy, from Umar Bin Qa’id, from Al-Kalby, from Abu Salih,
Ibn Abbas who said, ‘Once the Prophetsaww was among a number of hissaww
companions, when hesaww said: ‘Now there will enter to come to you a peer of Isa Bin
Maryamas in mysaww community’. So Abu Bakr entered, so they said, ‘Is he the one?’
Hesaww said: ‘No’. Umar entered, so they said, ‘Is he the one?’ He saww said: ‘No’.
Aliasws entered, so they said, ‘Is heasws the one?’ So hesaww said: ‘Yes’.
ِ ك ِمْنه ي ِ
َصدُّو َن َو قالُوا أ َ ض ِر
َ ُ َ ب ابْ ُن َم ْرََيَ َمثًَال إذا قَ ْوُم ُ َو لَ َّما: فأنزل اهلل عز و جل، لعبادة الالت و العزى أهون من هذا:فقال قوم
.ِآهلَتُنا َخْي ٌر اآليات
So the people said, ‘The worship of Al-Laat and Al-Uzza is better than this.
Therefore, Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed: And when an example is struck

for the son of Maryam, then your people are laughing loudly [43:57] – the
Verse’.17
عن عبد، عن عثمان بن عمري البجلي، عن شريك، عن عبد اهلل بن َّري، عن عبد اهلل بن عمر، عن عبد اهلل بن عبد العزيز:وعنه
أحبه قوم فغالوا يف حبه، «مثلي يف هذه المة مثل عيسى ابن مرَي:) قال يل علي (عليه السالم: قال،الرحن بن أيب ليلى
.» و اقتصد فيه قوم فنجوا، و أبغضه قوم فأفرطوا يف بغضه فهلكوا،فهلكوا
And from him, from Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, from Abdullah Bin Umar, from Abdullah Bin Numeyr,
from Shareek, from Usman bin Umeyr Al-Bajaly, from Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Layli who said,
‘Aliasws said to me: ‘Myasws example in this community is an example of Isa Bin
Maryamas. A group loved himas, and they melted in hisas love, and they were
destroyed. And a group hated himas, they went too far in their hatred, and they were
destroyed. And a group took the middle course, so they attained salvation’. 18
‘One day Rasool Allahsaww was explaining (matters) in a session, when Amir-Al-
Momineenasws came over. Rasool Allahsaww said to himasws that: ‘In youasws there is a
similarity with Isaas Bin Maryamas, and had it not been for a sect from mysaww
community saying regarding youasws what the Christians are saying regarding Isaas
Bin Maryamas, Isaww would have said regarding youasws such words that none from
the people would pass by youasws except that he would take the dust from under
yourasws feet seeking Blessings by that’.
ِ َِّ ِ ِ ض ِر ِ ٍ ْان َو الْ ُمغِ َريةُ بْ ُن ُش ْعبَةَ َو ِع َّدةٌ ِم ْن قُ َري ِ َ َق
ِ َّضب ْال َْعرابِي
َ ب البْ ِن َع ِّمه َمثًَال إال ع
َيسى ابْ َن َم ْرََي َ ْ َش َم َع ُه ْم فَ َقالُوا َما َرض َي أَ ْن ي َ َ َال فَغ
Heasws said: ‘Two bedouins became angered along with Al-Mugheira Bin Sho’bat as
well a number from the Quraysh among them. So they said, ‘He saww was not happy
until hesaww struck an example for the sonasws of hissaww uncleas with Isaas Bin
Maryamas’.

Heasws said: ‘Al-Haaris Bin Amro Al-Fahry became angry and said, ‘O Allah! In case
this is the Truth from Your Presence - that the Clan of Hashimasws will be inheriting
from Heraclius and after Heraclius, then Rain upon us stones from the sky or
Give up a painful Punishment [8:32]. So Allahazwj Revealed (upon) the words of Al-
Haaris and this Verse Came down: And Allah was not going to Punish them
while you were among them, nor was Allah Punish them while they are seeking
Forgiveness [8:33].
ِ ك فَ َق ْد ذَهبت ب نُو ه ِ ٍ ْال يَا ُحمَ َّم ُد بَ ْل ََْت َعل لِ َساِئِِر قُ َري
اش ٍم َ َ ْ ََ َ ْش َشْيئاً ممَّا ِيف يَ َدي ُ َ ت َو إِ َّما َر َح ْل
َ ت فَ َق َ ال لَهُ يَا ابْ َن َع ْم ٍرو إِ َّما تُْب
َ َُُثَّ ق
ِ َِّبَكْرم ِة الْعر
ب َو الْ َع َج ِم ََ َُ
Then hesaww said to him: ‘O Ibn Amro, either you repent or you leave’. He said, ‘O
Muhammadsaww, but yousaww have made for all of the Quraysh something from what
is in yoursaww hands, for the Clan of Hashimasws have taken away the prestige of the
Arabs and the non-Arabs’.
ال يَا ُحمَ َّم ُد قَلِْيب َما يُتَابِعُ ِين َعلَى الت َّْوبَِة َو لَكِ ْن
َ اىل فَ َقَ ك إِ َىل اللَّ ِه تَبَ َارَك َو تَ َع ِ ََّ ِال لَه النَِّيب ( صلى اهلل عليه وآله ) لَيس َذلِك إ
َ يل َذل َ َ ْ ُّ ُ َ فَ َق
ِ ِ ِ ِِ ِ ِ
ُت َه َامتَهْ ض َخ َ ص َار بِظَ ْه ِر الْ َمدينَة أَتَْتهُ َجْن َدلَةٌ فَ َر
َ ك فَ َد َعا بَراحلَته فَ َركبَ َها فَلَ َّما
َ أ َْر َح ُل َعْن
The Prophetsaww said to him: ‘That is not up to mesaww, but that is up to Allahazwj
Blessed and Exalted’. He said, ‘O Muhammadsaww, my heart does not incline me for
the repentance, but I shall leave from you’. So he called for his ride and rode away.
When he came to the back of Al-Medina, a stone fell upon him and crushed his skull.
Then Revelation Came to the Prophetsaww Saying: A questioner, asked for the
Punishment to befall [70:1] For the disbelievers in the Wilayah of Ali, there
being no dispeller for it [70:2] (It is) from Allah, the Lord of the ways of Ascent
[70:3].

He (the narrator) said, ‘I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you asws, we do not read it like
this’. Heasws said: ‘By Allahazwj! This is how Jibraeelas Descended with it upon
Muhammadsaww, and by Allahazwj, this is how it is recorded in the Parchment
(Mus’haf) of Fatimaasws’.
َ َاستَ ْفتَ َح بِِه ق ِ ول اللَّ ِه ( صلى اهلل عليه وآله ) لِمن حولَه ِمن الْمنَافِ ِقني انْطَلِ ُقوا إِ َىل
ال اللَّهُ َعَّز َو َج َّل ْ صاحبِ ُك ْم فَ َق ْد أَتَاهُ َما
َ َ ُ َ ُ َْ ْ َ ُ ال َر ُس
َ فَ َق
ٍ ِو است ْفتكوا و خاب ُك ُّل جبَّا ٍر عن
. يد َ َ َ َ ُ َ َْ َ
So the Rasool Allahsaww said to those who were around himsaww from the hypocrites:
‘Go to your companion, for there has come to him what judgment he was asking for’.
Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Said: And they are asking for judgment, and every
stubborn tyrant was disappointed [14:15]’’.19
، عن حممد بن الساِئب، عن حممد بن كثري الكويف، حدثنا أحد بن عمر الدهقان: قال، حدثنا حممد بن سهل العطار: قال،وعنه
إن عيسى بن مرَي كان حييي، يا حممد: جاء قوم إىل النيب (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) فقالوا: قال، عن ابن عباس،عن أيب صاحل
فدعا علي بن أيب طالب (عليه، و إنه قريب عهد َّبوت، نريد فالنا: «من تريدون؟» قالوا: فقال هلم، فأوحي لنا املوتى،املوتى
،» «انطلق معهم إىل امليت فادعه باْسه و اسم أبيه: ُث قال له، فأصغى إليه بشيء ال نعرفه،)السالم
And from him, from Muhammad Bin Sahl Al-Attar, from Ahmad Bin Umar Al-Dahqan, from
Muhammad Bin Kaseer Al-Kufy, from Muhammad Bin Al-Sa’ib, from Abu Salih,
Ibn Abbas who said, ‘A group came to the Prophetsaww so they said, ‘O
Muhammadsaww! Isa Bin Maryamas used to revive the dead’. So hesaww said to them:
‘Whom do you want?’ They said, ‘We want so and so (to be revived), and he has
died recently. So hesaww called Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws, said something in hisasws ear,
we did not recognise what it was, then said to him asws: ‘Go with them to the dead
one, and call him by his name, and the name of his father’.
ُث انصرفوا و هم، ُث اضطجع يف حلده. فسألوه، فقام امليت، يا فالن بن فالن: ُث ناداه،فمضى معهم حَّت وقف على قرب الرجل
ِ ك ِمْنه ي ِ
صدُّو َن َ ض ِر
َ ُ َ ب ابْ ُن َم ْرََيَ َمثَ ًال إذا قَ ْوُم ُ َو لَ َّما: فأنزل اهلل عز و جل، أو َنوها، إن هذا من أعاجيب بين عبد املطلب:يقولون
.أي يضككون
So heasws went with them until heasws paused at the grave of the man, then called out
to him: ‘O so and so, son of so and so! So the dead man stood up. They questioned
him. Then he lay down in his grave. Then they left and they were saying, ‘This is
from the wonders of the Clan of Abdul Muttalib asws’ – or something like that. Thus,
Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed: And when an example is struck for the
son of Maryam, then your people are laughing loudly [43:57], i.e., laughing’.20

Muhammad Bin Al Abbas said, ‘It was narrated to us by Abdul Aziz Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin
Zakariya, from Najdah Bin Umeyr Al Khas’ami, from Amro Bin Qa’id, from Al Kalby, from Abu Salih,
from Ibn Abbas who said,
‘While the Prophetsaww was among a number of hissaww companions, when hesaww
said: ‘Right now there would be entering towards you a match of Isa Bin Maryam as
among mysaww community’.
هو هذا ؟: فدخل علي عليه السالم فقالوا. ال: هو هذا ؟ فقال: فقالوا، فدخل عمر. ال: هو هذا ؟ فقال:فدخل أبو بكر فقالوا
. نعم:فقال
So Abu Bakr entered, and they said, ‘Is it this one?’ He saww said: ‘No’. Then Umar
entered, and they said, ‘Is it this one?’ Hesaww said: ‘No’. Then Aliasws entered, and
they said, ‘Is it this oneasws?’ Hesaww said: ‘Yes’.
فأنزل اهلل عزوجل (و ملا ضرب ابن مرَي مثال إذا قومك منه يصدون وقالوا ءاهلتنا، لعبادة الالت والعزى أهون من هذا:فقال قوم

The people said, ‘The worship of Al Laat and Al Uzza (two idols) is easier than this’.
So Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed: ‘And when an example is struck for
the son of Maryam, then your people are laughing loudly [43:57] And they are
saying, ‘Are our gods better or him?’ [43:57] – the Verse’’.21
عن سلمان، عن أيب الغر، عن أيب صادق، عن سلمة بن كهيل، عن العمش، عن وكيع، حدثين أيب: قال،علي بن إبراهيم
«إنه يدخل عليكم الساعة شبيه عيسى بن: بينا رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) جالس يف أصكابه إذ قال: قال،الفارسي
فدخل علي بن أيب طالب (عليه،مرَي» فخرج بعض من كان جالسا مع رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) ليكون هو الداخل
ما رضي حممد أن فضل عليا علينا حَّت يشبهه بعيسى بن مرَي! و اهلل آلهلتنا الِت كنا: فقال الرجل لبعض أصكابه،)السالم

Ali Bin Ibrahim said, ‘My father narrated to me, from Waki’e, from Al-Amsh, from Salmat Bin Kaheyl,
from Abu Sadiq, from Abu Al-A’gar,
Salman Al-Farsyra having said, ‘Once Rasool-Allahsaww was seated among hissaww
companions when he aww said: ‘There will come to you, in a while, a similarity of Isa

Bin Maryamas’. So, one person, who was seated with Rasool-Allahsaww went out from
his place in order to become the one who would enter, but it was Ali Bin Abu
Talibasws who entered. So the man said to some of his companions, ‘Muhammad saww
is not happy, to prefer Aliasws over us to the extent that hesaww is now comparing
himasws with Isa Bin Maryamas! By Allah azwj! Our gods which we used to worship
during the era of ignorance are better than himasws’.
فأنزل اهلل يف ذلك اجمللس «و ملا ضرب ابن مرَي مثال إذا قومك منه يضجون» فكرفوها يصدون
So Allahazwj Revealed, during that sitting: And when an example is struck for the
son of Maryam, then your people are abuzz [43:57]. So they altered it (to read)
laughing aloud.
إن علي إال عبد أنعمنا عليه و جعلناه مثال لبين،«و قالوا ءآهلتنا خري أم هو ما ضربوه لك إال جدال بل هم قوم خصمون
.إسراِئيل» فمكي اْسه و كشط منهذا املوضع
And they are saying, ‘Are our gods better or him?’ They are not striking (an
example of) him to you except for quarrelling. But, they are a disputing people.
Surely Ali is only a servant We Favoured upon and Made him an example for
the Children of Israel [43:59]. So they removed hisasws name, and scrubbed it off
from this place’.22
عن احلسن بن علي، عن إبراهيم بن علي بن جناح، عن علي بن أحد العريضي بالرقة، حدثنا حممد بن خملد الدهان: قال،وعنه
«أن رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) نظر إىل علي (عليه:) عن آباِئه (عليهم السالم، عن أبيه،بن حممد بن جعفر بن حممد
و لو ال خمافة أن تقول فيك، أما إن فيك لشبها من عيسى:) فقال (صلى اهلل عليه و آله،السالم) و أصكابه حوله و هو مقبل
، لقلت فيك مقاال ال َتر َّبْل من الناس إال أخذوا من َتت قدميك الرتاب،طواِئف من امِت ما قالت النصاري يف عيسى بن مرَي
.يبتغون فيه الربكة
And from him, from Muhammad Bin Makhlad Al-Dahaan, from Ali Bin Ahmad Al-Areyzi at Al-raqat,
from Ibrahim Bin Ali bin Janaah,
Al-Hassanasws Bin Aliasws Bin Muhammadasws Bin Ja’farasws Bin Muhammadasws, from
hisasws fatherasws, from hisasws forefathersasws that: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww looked towards
Ali asws, whilst hissaww companions were around himsaww and heasws was facing
himsaww, so hesaww said: ‘But, in youasws there is a resemblance with Isaas, and if Isaww
did not fear that a party from mysaww community would be saying about youasws what
the Christians are saying regarding Isaas Bin Maryamas, Isaww would have said such
words, that there would not have passed a passer-by from the people except that he
would have taken the dust from underneath yourasws feet for the blessing’.
مل يرض [حممد] إال أن ِجعل ابن عمه مثال لبين إسراِئيل! فأنزل اهلل عز و: و قالوا، و تشاوروا فيما بينهم،فغضب من كان حوله
ِ ك إَِّال ج َدًال بل هم قَوم خ
ص ُمو َن ِ ِ ِ َ و لَ َّما ض ِرب ابن مرََي مثًَال إِذا قَوم:جل
َ ٌْ ْ ُ ْ َ َ َ َضَربُوهُ ل
َ ك مْنهُ يَصدُّو َن َو قالُوا أَ آهلَتُنا َخْي ٌر أ َْم ُه َو ما ُْ َ َ َْ ُ ْ َ ُ َ

So the ones who were around himsaww were angered by that, and they consulted
between themselves, and said, ‘Muhammadsaww is not happy except that hesaww now
makes hissaww cousinasws as example for the Children of Israel!’ So Allahazwj Mighty
and Majestic Revealed: And when an example is struck for the son of Maryam,
then your people are laughing loudly [43:57] And they are saying, ‘Are our
gods better or him?’ They are not striking (an example of) him to you except
for quarrelling. But, they are a disputing people [43:58] Surely he is only a
servant We Favoured upon and Made him an example for the Children of Israel
[43:59] And had We so Desired, We would have Made from the clan of Hashim,
Angels in the earth succeeding (each other) [43:59].
و لقد قال عمرو بن العاص، «حميت و اهلل فيما حمي: بين هاشم ؟ قال: قلت ليب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم) ليس يف القرآن:قال
َ َ و أعطيت ماِئِت ألف درهم على أن أحمي إِ َّن شانِئ، و حرف منه بألف حرف، حمي من كتاب اهلل ألف حرف:على منرب مصر

ال ِجوز ذلك فكيف جاز ذلك هلم و مل ِجز يل؟: فقالوا، ُه َو ْالَبْتَ ُر
I said to Abu Abdullahasws, ‘It isn’t in the Quran, ‘The Clan of Hashim’?’ Heasws said:
‘By Allahazwj! It was erased with what was erased. And Amro Bin Al-Aas said upon
the Pulpit of Egypt, ‘I have obliterated from the Book of Allah azwj a thousand words. I
will give two thousand Dirhams for the obliteration of: Surely your enemy, he is the
one without posterity [108:3]. But they said: ‘That is not permissible.’ (Amro said),
‘How come that was Permissible for them, and is not permissible for me?’
.» و لست هناك، قد بلغين ما قلت على منرب مصر: فكتب إليه،فبلغ ذلك معاوية
That reached Muawiyala. Hela wrote to him, ‘It has reached to mela what youla have
said on the pulpit of Egypt, and do not go that way’. 23

َ َّ َوإِنَّهُ لَع ْل ٌم ل
ٌ اعة فَ َال َتَْتَ ُر َّن هبَا َواتَّبعُون ۖ َٰه َذا صَرا ٌط ُم ْستَق

And surely he has the knowledge of the Hour, therefore do not be doubting
with it and follow me. This one is a Straight Path [43:61]

Sharaf Al-Deen Al-Najafy said, ‘It has come in Tafseer of the People of the Household that the

conscience in returning to Ali Bin Abu Talib , is what has been reported by a deleted chain, from
Zurara Bin Ayn who said,
‘I asked Abu Abdullahasws about the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic: And
surely he has the knowledge of the Hour [43:61], heasws said: ‘It Means by that
Amir-al-Momineenasws’.
و من ُتلف عنك هلك و، فمن اتبعك ْا، أنت علم هذه االمة، يا علي:) « قال رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله:و قال
.»هوى
And heasws said: ‘Rasool-Allahsaww said: ‘O Aliasws! Youasws are the flag of this
community, so the one who follows youasws is saved, and the one who opposes
youasws is destroyed and fallen’.25
عن أيب، عن عبد الرحن بن كثري، عن علي بن حسان، حدثنا حيىي بن زكريا: قال، حدثنا حممد بن جعفر: قال،علي بن إبراهيم

Ali Bin Ibrahim said, ‘Muhammad Bin Ja’far narrated to us, from Yahya Bin Zakariyya, from Ali Bin
Hisan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Kaseer,
‘I asked from Abu Abdullahasws, (What about): And it is a Zikr for you and for your
people, and soon you shall be Questioned [43:44]?’

so heasws said: ‘The Zikr is the Quran, and weasws are its Peopleasws, and weasws are to
be asked from: And do not let the Satan - Meaning the second one (Umar), hinder
you. He is an open enemy to you all [43:62]’.26
VERSES 63 - 66
}66{ اعةَ أَ ْن تَأْتِيَ ُه ْم بَ ْغتَةً َوُه ْم َال يَ ْشعُُرو َن َّ َه ْل يَْنظُُرو َن إَِّال

Are they awaiting only for the Hour lest it comes to them suddenly while they
are not aware? [43:66]

الساعَةَ أَ ْن تَأْتِيَ ُه ْم

Muhammad Bin Al-Abbas, from Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Asad, from Ibrahim Bin Muhammad, from Ismail
Bin Yasaar, from Ali Bin Ja’far Al-Hazramy, from Zurara Bin Ayn who said,
‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws about the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic: Are they
awaiting only for the Hour lest it comes to them suddenly [43:66], heasws said: ‘It
is the Hour (time of appearance) of Al-Qaimasws, it will come upon them suddenly’.27

The friends on that Day would be enemies of each other, except for the pious
[43:67]
-) عن أيب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم، عن أبيه، عن حممد بن سليمان، عن سهل بن زياد، عن عدة من أصكابنا:حممد بن يعقوب

Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from a number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad
Bin Suleyman, from his father,
Abu Baseer narrates from Abu Abdullahasws – in a Hadeeth, he (the Imamasws) said to
him: ‘O Abu Muhammad! The friends on that Day would be enemies of each
other, except for the pious [43:67]. By Allahazwj! Heazwj does not Intend by this
apart from you (Shias)’.28
«أال كل خلة كانت:) و قال الصادق (عليه السالم: قال، الصدقاء يعادي بعضهم بعضا: يعين: يف معىن اآلية،علي بن إبراهيم
.» فاهنا تصري عداوة يوم القيامة،يف الدنيا يف غري اهلل
‘In the meaning of the Verse: The friends on that Day would be enemies of each
other, [43:67], said, ‘Al Sadiqasws said: ‘Indeed! Every friendship which was in the
world for the sake of other than Allahazwj, so it would become enmity on the Day of
Judgment’.29
عن شعيب بن، عن حاد بن عيسى، عن احلسني بن سعيد، عن أحد بن حممد، أخربنا أحد بن إدريس:ُث قال علي بن إبراهيم

Then Ali Bin Ibrahim said, ‘Ahmad Bin Idrees informed us, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al
Husayn Bin Saeed, from Hamad Bin Isa, from Shuayb Bin Yaqoub, from Abu Is’haq, from Al Haris,
‘From Aliasws having said regarding two Momin friends, and two Kafir friends, an a
rich Momin and a poor Momin, and a rich Kafir and a poor Kafir: -

، فمات أحدُها قبل صاحبه، و تباذال عليها و توادا عليها،«فأما اْلليالن املؤمنان فتخاال حياِتما يف طاعة اهلل تبارك و تعاىل
و ينهاِّن عن، و يعينين عليها، كان يأمرِّن بطاعتك، يا رب خليلي فالن: فقال، يشفع لصاحبه،فأراه اهلل منزله يف اجلنة
فثبته على ما ثبتين عليه من اهلدى حَّت تريه ما أريتين،معصيتك
So, as for the tow Momin friends, so they were friends during their lifetime in the
obedience to Allahazwj Blessed and Exalted, and they reciprocated upon it and were
cordial upon it. One of them died before his companion, so Allah azwj Showed him his
status in the Paradise, interceding for his companion, said, ‘O Lordazwj! My so and so
friend used to instruct me with obeying Youazwj, and was assisting me upon it, and
forbidding me from disobeying Youazwj, therefore Affirm him upon what Youazwj
Affirmed me upon, from the Guidance until Youazwj Show him what Youazwj Showed
me’.
، كنت تأمرِّن بطاعة اهلل، جزاك اهلل من خليل خريا: فيقول كل واحد لصاحبه،فيستجيب اهلل له حَّت يلتقيان عند اهلل عز و جل
.و تنهاِّن عن معصيته
So Allahazwj would be Answering (his supplication) for him until they both meet in the
Presence of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic, and each one would be saying to his
companion, ‘Allahazwj has Recompensed you goodly from a friend. You used to
instruct me with obeying Allahazwj and forbade me from disobeying Himazwj’.
. فأراه اهلل تعاىل منزله يف النار، فمات أحدُها قبل صاحبه، و توادا عليها، و تباذال عليها،و أما الكافران فتخاال َّبعصية اهلل
فثبته على ما ثبتين عليه من املعاصي حَّت تريه ما أريتين، و ينهاِّن عن طاعتك، يا رب خليلي فالن كان يأمرِّن َّبعصيتك:فقال
من العذاب
And, as for the two Kafirs, so they were both friends in disobedience to Allah azwj, and
reciprocated upon it, and were cordial upon it. So one of them died before his
companion, and Allahazwj Showed him his status in the Fire. He said, ‘O Lord azwj! My
so and so friend used to instruct me with disobeying Youazwj, and forbad me from
obeying Youazwj, therefore Affirm him upon what Youazwj have Affirmed me upon from
my disobedience until Youazwj Show him what Youazwj Showed me from the
Punishment’.
و تنهاِّن، كنت تأمرِّن َّبعصية اهلل، جزاك اهلل عين من خليل شرا: يقول كل واحد منهما لصاحبه،فيلتقيان عند اهلل ي وم القيامة
.»عن طاعته
So they would both meet in the Presence of Allah azwj on the Day of Judgment, each
one saying to his companion, ‘Allahazwj has Recompensed you evil on my behalf,
from a friend. You used to instruct me with disobeying Allah azwj and forbade me from
obeying Himazwj’.

He (the narrator) said, ‘Then heasws recited: The friends on that Day would be
enemies of each other, except for the pious [43:67].
أمل أجعلك ْسيعا: قال، لبيك يا رب: قال. عبدي:« و يدعى باملؤمن الغين يوم القيامة إىل احلساب فيقول اهلل تبارك و تعاىل
فما أعددت للقاِئي؟: قال. بلى يا رب: و جعلت لك ماال كثريا؟ قال،بصريا
And the rich Momin would be Called on the Day of Judgment to the Reckoning, and
Allahazwj Blessed and Exalted would be Saying: “My servant!” He would say, ‘Here I
am, O Lordazwj!’ Heazwj would Say: “Did Iazwj not Make you hearing, seeing, and Made
a lot of wealth to be for you?” He would say, ‘Yes, O Lord azwj!’ Heazwj would Say: “So
what have you prepared to Myazwj Meeting?”
فما: قال. أنفقته يف طاعتك: فما ذا فعلت فيما آتيتك؟ قال: قال. و جاهدت يف سبيلك، و صدقت رسلك، آمنت بك:قال
ذا أورثت يف عقبك؟
He would say, ‘I believed in Youazwj, and ratified Yourazwj Rasoolsaww, and strove in
Yourazwj Way’. Heazwj would Say: “So what is that which you did regarding what I azwj
Gave you?” He would say, ‘I spend it in Yourazwj obedience’. Heazwj would Say: “So
what is that which you left as inheritance among your posterity?”
: فيقول اهلل عز و جل. فوكلت عقيب إليك، و كنت قادرا على أن ترزقهم كما رزقتين، و رزقتين و رزقتهم، خلقتين و خلقتهم:قال
. فلو تعلم مالك عندي لضككت كثريا، اذهب،صدقت
He would say, ‘Youazwj Created me and Created them, and Sustained me and
Sustained them, and Youazwj were Able upon Sustaining them just as You azwj
Sustained me, so I allocated my posterity to You azwj’. So Allahazwj Mighty and
Majestic would be Saying: “You speak the truth. Go, for it you knew what is for you in
Myazwj Presence, you would laugh a lot!”
و أنعمت، يا رب هديتين لدينك: ماذا فعلت؟ فيقول: فيقول، لبيك يا رب: فيقول، يا ابن آدم: فيقول،ُث يدعى باملؤمن الفقري
صدق عبدي لو تعلم ما لك عندي: فيقول اهلل عز و جل. و كففت عين ما لو بسطته ْلشيت أن يشغلين عما خلقتين له،علي
.لضككت كثريا
The poor Momin would be Called, and Heazwj would be Saying: “O son of Adamas!”
He would say, ‘Here I am, O Lordazwj! He would Say: “What is what which you did?”
He would say, ‘O Lordazwj! Youazwj Guided me to Yourazwj Religion, and Favoured
upon me, and Sufficed from me what, if You azwj had Extended it, I fear that it would
have pre-occupied me from what Youazwj had Created me for’. So Allahazwj Mighty
and Majestic would be Saying: “Myazwj servant speaks the truth. If you knew what is
for you in Myazwj Presence, you would laugh a lot!”
: ما ذا فعلت فيما آتيتك؟ فيقول: فيقول. ما أعددت شيئا: ما أعددت للقاِئي؟ فيعتل فيقول:ُث يدعى بالكافر الغين فيقول له
. أنت: من خلق عقبك؟ فيقول: فيقول. أنت: من رزقك؟ فيقول: فيقول. أنت: من خلقك؟ فيقول: فيقول،ورثته عقيب

Then the rich Kafir would be Called, and Heazwj would be Saying to him: “What did
you prepare for Myazwj Meeting?” So he would feel sick and would be saying, ‘I did
not prepare anything’. Heazwj would be Saying: “What is that which you did regarding
what Iazwj Gave you?” He would be saying, ‘I left it as inheritance for my posterity’.
Heazwj would be Saying: “Who Created you?” He would say, ‘You azwj did’. Heazwj
would Say: “Who Sustained you?” He would say, ‘You azwj did’. Heazwj would Say:
“Who Created your posterity?” He would say, ‘Youazwj did’.
: فيقول اهلل عز و جل، مل أدر ما أنت هلك: و إن قال، نسيت هلك: أ مل أك قادرا أن أرزق عقبك كما رزقتك؟ فإن قال:قال
.لو تعلم مالك عندي لبكيت كثريا
Heazwj would Say: “Was Iazwj not Able upon Sustaining your posterity just as I azwj has
Sustained you?” So if he said, ‘I forgot’, he would be destroyed, and if he says, ‘I did
not know what Youazwj were’, he would be destroyed. So Allahazwj Mighty and
Majestic would be Saying: “If you knew what is for you in Myazwj Presence, you would
cry a lot!”
و شغلتين، ابتليتين ببالء الدنيا حَّت أنسيتين ذكرك: يا ابن آدم فما فعلت فيما أمرتك؟ فيقول: فيقول له،ُث يدعى بالكافر الفقري
.عما خلقتين له
Then they would Call the poor Kafir, and Heazwj would be Saying to him: “O son of
Adamas! So what did you do regarding what Iazwj had Commanded you?” He would
say, ‘Youazwj Afflicted me with the afflictions of the world until I forgot Your azwj Zikr,
and was too pre-occupied from what Youazwj had Created me for’.
لو تعلم: فيقول، مل أدر ما أنت هلك: و إن قال، رب نسيت هلك: و سألتين فأعطيك؟ فإن قال، فهل دعوتين فأرزقك:فيقول
.»مالك عندي لبكيت كثريا
So Heazwj would be Saying: “But, if you had supplicated to Me azwj, Iazwj would have
Graced you, and had you asked Meazwj, Iazwj would have Given you!” So if he says,
‘Lordazwj, I forgot!’, he would be destroyed, and if he says, ‘I did not know what
Youazwj were’, he would be destroyed. Heazwj would Say: “If you knew what is for you
in Myazwj Presence, you would cry a lot”’.30

Those who believed in Our Signs and were submissive, [43:69]
}73{ لَ ُك ْم فِ َيها فَاكِ َهةٌ َكثِ َريةٌ ِمْن َها تَأْ ُكلُو َن
For you therein are many fruits of which you would be eating [43:73]
حدثنا أبو: قال- يعين ابن علي القطان- حدثين يونس: حدثين علي بن حممد اهلريي (الزهري) قال:[ فرات الكويف ] قال
* (يعباد ال خوف: إذا كان يوم القيامة نادى مناد: عن علي بن احلسني (عليهما السالم) قال: عن أيب حزة،حفص العشى
إذا قاهلا مل يبق أحد إال رفع رأسه:عليكم اليوم وال أنتم َتزنون) * قال
Furaat Al Kufy said, ‘Ali Bin Muhammad Al Hayri (Al Zuhry) narrated to me, from Yunus – meaning Ibn
Abi Al Qataan – from Abu Hafs Al A’ash, from Abu Hamza,
‘From Aliasws Bin Al-Husaynasws having said: ‘When it would be the Day of
Judgement, a Caller would Call out: O servants! There would be not fear upon
you today nor will you be grieving [43:68]’. Heasws said: ‘When he Calls it, there
would not remain anyone except that he would raise his head.
. * (الذين ءامنوا بايتنا وكانوا مسلمني) * مل يبق أحد إال طأطأ رأسه إال املسلمني احملبني:فإذا قال
So when he says: Those who believed in Our Signs and were submissive,
[43:69], there would not remain anyone except that he would bow his head to the
submissive ones, the loving ones’.

هذه فاطمة بنت حممد َتر بكم هي ومن معها إىل اجلنة ُث يرسل فطأطؤا رؤوسكم ! فال يبقى أحد إال طأطأ: ُث ينادي مناد:قال
.رأسه حَّت َتر فاطمة ومن معها إىل اجلنة
Heasws said: ‘Then a Caller would Call out: ‘This is (Syeda) Fatimaasws, daughter of
Muhammadsaww, passing by you, sheasws and the ones with herasws, to the Paradise,
therefore bow down your heads!’ So there would not remain anyone except that he
would bow down his head until (Syeda) Fatimaasws and the ones with herasws pass by
to the Paradise.
. يا رب حاجِت أن تغفر (يل و) ملن نصر ولدي: فتقول. يا فاطمة سلي (سليين) حاجتك:ُث يرسل اهلل إليها ملكا فيقول
In (the book) Basaair Al Darajaat – Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Abdullah Bin Jabalat, from Ali Bin
Abu Hamza, from Abu Baseer,
‘From Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘O Abu Muhammad! You (Shias) would be in the
Paradise to be delighted, while between the layers of the Fire, they would be seeking
you, but they will not find you’’.32
VERSES 74 & 75
}75{ َال يُ َفت َُّر َعْن ُه ْم َوُه ْم فِ ِيه ُمْبلِ ُسو َن
It shall not be abated from them and they would be despairing in it [43:75]
«إن الرجل يف: قال،) عن أيب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم، عن ابن سنان، عن احلسن بن حمبوب، أخربِّن أيب:ُث قال علي بن إبراهيم
.» و يأكل يف أكلة واحدة َّبقدار أكله يف الدنيا،اجلنة يبقى على ماِئدته أيام الدنيا

Then Ali Bin Ibrahim said, ‘My father informed me, from Al-Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Ibn Sinan,
‘Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘The man in the Paradise would remain upon his
meal, for the days of the world, and would eat in one meal the measurement of what
he ate in the world’.
َّم خالِ ُدو َن ال يُ َفتَّ ُر َعْن ُه ْم َو ِ ِ َ إِ َّن الْم ْج ِرِم: فقال،)ُث ذكر اهلل عز و جل ما أعده لعداء آل حممد (عليهم السالم
َ ني يف َعذاب َج َهن ُ
،ُه ْم فِ ِيه ُمْبلِ ُسو َن أي آيسون من اْلري
Then Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Mentions what Heazwj has Prepared for the
enemies of the Progenyasws of Muhammadsaww, so Heazwj Said: Surely the criminals
would be in Hell, abiding eternally [43:74] It shall not be abated from them and
they would be despairing in it [43:75] - i.e., they would have despaired from the
good.
و غل منهم اليدي إىل، و أوثق منهم القدام، «و أما أهل املعصية فخلدهم يف النار:)فذلك قول أمري املؤمنني (عليه السالم
و نار، هم يف عذاب قد اشتد حره، و قطعت هلم منها ثياب من مقطعات النريان، و ألبس أجسادهم سرابيل القطران،العناق
و العقاب أبدا، العذاب أبدا شديد، و ال ينقضي هلم غم أبدا، و ال يدخلهم ريح أبدا، ال تفتح عنهم أبدا،قد أطبق على أهلها
.» و ال آجال القوم تقضى، ال الدار زاِئلة فتفىن،جديد
عن زكريا، عن احلسن بن حمبوب، عن أبيه، عن حممد بن عبد اهلل، حدثنا أحد بن حممد بن موسى النوفلي: قال،و عنه
«أن النيب (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) قال لعلي:) عن جده (عليهم السالم، عن أبيه، عن أيب جعفر، عن جابر اجلعفي،املوصلي
. و اجملرمون هم املنكرون لواليتك، يا علي:)(عليه السالم
And he said, ‘It was narrated to us by Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Musa Al-Nowfaly, from Muhammad
Bin Abdullah, from his father, from Al-Hassan Bin Mahboub, from Zakariya Al-Mowsaly, from Jabir Al-
Ju’fy, who has narrated the following:
‘Abu Ja’farasws, from hisasws fatherasws, from hisasws grandfatherasws that: ‘The
Prophetsaww said to Aliasws: ‘O Aliasws! And the criminals, they are the deniers of
yourasws Wilayah’’.34

And We were not unjust unto them, but they were unjust [43:76]
عن، عن حممد بن سليمان، عن حممد بن خالد، عن أحد بن حممد السياري، حدثنا أحد بن القاسم: قال،حممد بن العباس

َ ناه ْم َو لك ْن كانُوا ُه ُم الظَّالم
«و ما ظلمناهم:] [قال،ني ُ َو ما ظَلَ ْم: يف قول اهلل عز و جل،) عن أيب عبد اهلل (عليه السالم،أبيه
.» و لكن كانوا هم الظاملني،برتكهم والية أهل بيتك
Muhammad Bin Al-Abbas, from Ahmad Bin Al-Qasim, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Al-Sayyari, from
Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Muhammad Bin Suleyman, from his father,
‘Abu Abdullahasws regarding the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic: And We
were not unjust unto them [43:76], heasws said: ‘And Weazwj were not unjust to
them for their neglecting the Wilayah of the Peopleasws of yoursaww Household, but
they were unjust (by doing so)’’.35
VERSES 77 & 78
}78{ احلَ ِّق َوٰلَكِ َّن أَ ْكثََرُك ْم لِْل َك ِّق َكا ِرُهو َن
ْ ِلََق ْد ِجْئ نَا ُك ْم ب
We had come to you with the Truth, but most of you were averse to the Truth
[43:78]
«فإذا يئسوا:) قال (صلى اهلل عليه و آله- يف أهل النار،) عن النيب (صلى اهلل عليه و آله، يف حديث-:)ابن طاوس (رحه اهلل
ضِ ك لِيَ ْق ِ
ُ ناد ْوا يا مال
َ َو: قال اهلل جل جالله، و أملوا أن َيلصهم من ذلك اهلوان،من خزنة جهنم رجعوا إىل مالك مقدم اْلزان

َ َُّعلَْينا َرب
Ibn Tawoos –
In a Hadeeth from the Prophetsaww regarding the inhabitants of the Fire – Hesaww
said: ‘So when they have despaired from the Keepers of Hell, they would return to
Malik, the Head of the Keepers, and hope that he would save them from that

humiliation. Allahazwj, Majestic is Hisazwj Majesty Says: And they would call out, ‘O
Malik! Let your Lord Decide about us’. [43:77]’.
Hesaww said: ‘The Answer would be withheld from them for a duration of forty years
whilst they are enduring the Punishment. Then they would be answered as Allah azwj
Says in Hisazwj Protected Book: He will say: ‘You shall remain! [43:77].
و كان قد آثر كل واحد منهم هواه عليه مدة، فإذا يئسوا من موالهم رب العاملني الذي كان أهون شيء عندهم يف دنياهم:قال
.»احلياة
Hesaww said: ‘So when they have despaired from their Master azwj, the Lordazwj of the
Worlds, which was a lesser thing for them in the world of theirs, and the effect of
their desires of each one of them would last for the duration of their lifetime’.36
Then Allahazwj Tells about the cries of the people of the Fire, so He azwj Said: ‘O
Malik! Let your Lord Decide about us’ [43:77] - i.e., Cause us to die. so Malik
(Keeper of Hell), He will say: ‘You shall remain! [43:77].
احلَ ِّق يعين بوالية أمري املؤمنني (عليه السالم) َو لكِ َّن أَ ْكثَ َرُك ْم لِْل َك ِّق كا ِرُهو َن يعين لوالية أمري
ْ ِ لََق ْد ِجْئنا ُك ْم ب:ُث قال اهلل تعاىل
.)املؤمنني (عليه السالم
Then Allahazwj the Exalted Said: We had come to you with the Truth [43:78],
Meaning the Wilayah of Amir-al-Momineenasws, but most of you were averse to the
Truth [43:78] - Meaning to the Wilayah of Amir-al-Momineenasws’.37
VERSES 79 & 80

Or are they reckoning that We cannot Hear their secrets and their
whisperings? Yes! And our Messengers (who are) with them, are recording

أ َْم أَبْ َرُموا أ َْمراً فَإِنَّا ُم ِْربُمو َن أ َْم َْحي َسبُو َن أَنَّا ال: فأنزل اهلل تعاىل، و كان كاتبهم، و كان معهم أبو عبيدة،)أمري املؤمنني (عليه السالم

And from him, from Al-Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin
Awramat, and Ali Bin Abdullah, from Ali Bin Hisaan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Kaseer,
Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘The Words of the Exalted: That is because they
abhorred what Allah Revealed [47:9], and that which Allahazwj Revealed was what
Heazwj Obligated upon Hisazwj creatures from the Wilayah of Amir-al-Momineenasws,
and with them was Abu Ubeyda (Ibn Jarrah), and he was their scribe, so Allah azwj the
Exalted Revealed: Or are they (trying to) conclude a matter? But We are the
Concluders [43:79]. Or are they reckoning that We cannot Hear their secrets
and their whisperings? [43:80] – the Verse’.38

‘Rasool-Allahsaww took the Covenant with them twice for Amir-al-Momineenasws. The
first was where hesaww said: ‘Do you know who is your Guardian from after me saww?’
They said, ‘Allahazwj and Hisazwj Rasoolsaww are more knowledgeable’. Hesaww said:
‘The Corrector of the Believers’, - and hesaww indicated by hissaww hand towards
Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws, and said: ‘This is your Guardian, after mesaww’.
أن ال نرجع إىل أهل: و كانوا قد أسروا يف أنفسهم و تعاقدوا.» «من كنت مواله فهذا علي مواله: يوم غدير خم يقول:و الثانية
أ َْم أَبْ َرُموا أ َْمراً فَِإنَّا: و أنزل عليه، و ال نعطيهم اْلمس فأطلع اهلل نبيه (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) على أمرهم،هذا البيت هذا المر
.ُم ِْربُمو َن أ َْم َْحي َسبُو َن أَنَّا ال نَ ْس َم ُع ِسَّرُه ْم َو َْْو ُاه ْم بَلى َو ُر ُسلُنا لَ َديْ ِه ْم يَكْتُبُو َن
And the second was on the Day of Ghadeer Khumm where he saww said: ‘The one
whom Isaww am the Master of, so this Aliasws is his Master’. And they had pacted
within themselves and agreed upon that, ‘We will never let this command return to
the Peopleasws of this Household, nor will we give them asws the fifth ()الخمس. So,
Allahazwj Notified Hisazwj Prophetsaww about their affair, and Revealed unto himsaww: Or
are they (trying to) conclude a matter? But We are the Concluders [43:79] Or
are they reckoning that We cannot Hear their secrets and their whisperings?
Yes! And our Messengers (who are) with them, are recording [43:80]’.40

From him, from Ali Bin Al-Husayn, from Ali Bin Abu hamza, from Abu Baseer, who has narrated the
following:
Abu Abdullahasws regarding the Words of Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic: There does
not happen to be a secret counsel of three, except He is their fourth one, nor of
five except He is their sixth one, nor less than that nor more except He is with
them, wherever they may happen to be. Then He would Inform them on the Day
of Judgment of what they had been doing. Surely Allah is Knower of all things
[58:7].
َامل َم ْوَىل أَِيب ُح َذيْ َفةَ َو الْ ُمغِ َريةِ بْ ِن ُش ْعبَةٍِ ف و َس ٍ َّ ت َه ِذهِ ْاآليَةُ ِيف فَُال ٍن َو فَُال ٍن َو أَِيب ُعبَ ْي َدةَ ا ْجلََّر ِاح َو َعْب ِد
َ الر ْحَ ِن بْ ِن َع ْو ْ َال نََزل َ َق
ِ اْلِ َالفَةُ ِيف ب ِين ه
اش ٍم َو َال النُّبُ َّوةُ أَبَداً فَأَنْ َزَل اللَّهُ َعَّز َو ْ ضى ُحمَ َّم ٌد َال تَ ُكو ُن ِ ِ
َ َ َ اه ُدوا َو تَ َوافَ ُقوا لَئ ْن َم َ اب بَْي نَ ُه ْم َو تَ َعَ َث َكتَبُوا الْكت ُ َحْي
ََج َّل فِي ِه ْم َه ِذهِ ْاآليَة
Heasws said; ‘This was Revealed regarding so and so and so and so (Abu Bakr and
Umar), and Abu Ubeyda Ibn Al-Jarrah, and Abdul Rahman Ibn Awf, and Saalim
Mawla Abu Huzeyfa, and Al-Mugheira Bin Sho’ba, when they wrote the agreement in
between them and took a pledge and agreed that if Muhammad saww were to pass
away, they would not let the Caliphate to be in the Clan of Hashim asws, nor the
Prophet-hood ever. So Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic Revealed this Verse with
regards to them.

I said, ‘The Statement of the Mighty and Majestic: Or are they (trying to) conclude
a matter? But We are the Concluders [43:79] Or are they reckoning that We
cannot Hear their secrets and their whisperings? Yes! And our Messengers
(who are) with them, are recording [43:80]. Heasws said: ‘And these two Verse
were (also) Revealed regarding them on that day’.

Al-Tabarsy in Al-Ihtijaj –
From Amir-al-Momineenasws regarding the Words of the Exalted: Say: ‘If there was a
son for the Beneficent, then I would be the first of the worshippers’ [43:81] –
i.e. the one to fight against it. The explanation regarding these Words, its esoteric is
contrary to its apparent’.42

‘From Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic, when Heazwj
Intended to Create Adamas, Sent the water upon the clay. Then Heazwj Grabbed a
Handful and Kneaded it. The Separated it into two parts by Hisazwj Hand. Then Heazwj
Scattered them and they were crawling.
وها
َ ُوها فَ َذ َهبُوا فَ َد َخل
َ ُني أَ ْن يَ ْد ُخل ِ وها ُُثَّ أ ََمر أ َْهل الْيَ ِم َ ُوها فَ َذ َهبُوا إِلَْي َها فَ َهاب

Then Heazwj Raised a Fire for them, and Commanded the people of the left that they
should be entering into it. So they went towards it, but were terrified of it, so they did
not enter into it. Then Heazwj Commanded the people of the right that they should be
entering into it. So they went towards it and entered into it. So Allah azwj Majestic and
Mighty Commanded the Fire, so it was cold and safe for them . So when the people
of the left saw that, they said, ‘Our Lordazwj! Forgive us’. So Heazwj Forgave them,
then Said to them: “Enter into it!” So they went and stood at it but did not enter into it.
So Heazwj Returned them (all) as clay and Created Adamas from it’.
And Abu Abdullahasws said: ‘So these ones will never have the capacity that they
become from those ones nor would those ones to happen to be from these ones’.

Heasws said: ‘So they were seeing that Rasool-Allahsaww was the first one to enter that
Fire, and these are the Words of the Majestic and Mighty: Say: ‘If there was a son
for the Beneficent, then I would be the first of the worshippers’ [43:81]’.43

Glorious is the Lord of the skies and the earth, Lord of the Throne, from what
they are ascribing [43:82]

Ibn Babuwayh, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahab Al-Shajary at Nesabour, from Abu Al-

Al-Hassan Al-ma’any, from Abdullah Bin Yazeed, from Yahya Bin Uqba Bin Abu Al-Ayzar, from
Muhammad Bin Jhaadat, from Yazeed Bin Al-Assam who said,
‘A man asked Umar Bin Al-Khattab, ‘What is the explanation of ‘Glory be to Allah azwj’
( ’?)سبحان هللاHe said, ‘In this wall there is a manasws, if you were to ask himasws, heasws
would tell you about it’. So when he (Umar) was silent, he came to the wall and there
was Aliasws Bin Abu Talibasws, and he said, ‘O Abu Al-Hassanasws! What is the
explanation of ‘Glory be to Allahazwj’ (’?)سبحان هللا
.» فإذا قاهلا العبد صلى عليه كل ملك، و تنزيهه عما قال فيه كل مشرك، «هو تعظيم جالل اهلل عز و جل:قال
He asws said: ‘It is the Magnification of the Majesty of Allah azwj Mighty and Majestic,
and Higher than what every Polytheist says about Him azwj. So when the servant says
it, every Angel sends greetings upon him’.44
VERSE 83
ِ
َ ُوضوا َويَْل َعبُوا َح َّ َّٰت يَُالقُوا يَ ْوَم ُه ُم الَّذي ي
}83{ وع ُدو َن ُ ُفَ َذ ْرُه ْم ََي
So leave them engaging in vanities and playing, until they meet their Day
which they are Promised [43:83]

‘From Abu Ja’farasws, said, ‘I said to himasws, ‘Is the copulation disliked during a
particular time from the timings, and even if it was Permissible?’ He asws said: ‘Yes,
whatever is between the emergence of the dawn up to the emergence of the sun,
and from the disappearing of the sun up to the disappearance of the redness, and
during the day in which is the eclipse of the sun, and during the night in which the
moon is eclipsed, and during the night and the day in which there is the black wind
and the red wind, and the yellow wind, and the night and the day in which is the
earthquake.

َ ت لَهُ يَا َر ُس ْ يَ ُكو ُن مْنهُ ِيف َغ ِْريَها َح ََّّت أ
ْ ََصبَ َح فَ َقال
And Rasool-Allahsaww had spent the night in the presence of one of his saww wives
during a night in which the moon was eclipsed. So there did not happen to be from
himsaww during that night which used to happen from himsaww during others until the
morning. So she said to himsaww, ‘O Rasool-Allahsaww! Is it due to hatred from yousaww
during this night?’
ول اللَّ ِه ( صلى اهلل عليه وآله ) َعْن َها َو ِ َال أَبو جع َف ٍر ( عليه السالم ) و ْاَي اللَّ ِه َال ُِج ِامع أَح ٌد ِيف ه ِذهِ ْالَوق
ُ ات الَِِّت نَ َهى َر ُس ْ َ َ ُ َ ُ َ ْ َ ُ َ َُُثَّ ق
ُّ ك َما ُِحي ِ ِِ ْ قَ ِد انْتَ َهى إِلَْي ِه
.ب َ اْلَبَ ُر فَيُ ْرَز َق َولَداً فَيَ َرى ِيف َولَده ذَل
Then Abu Ja’farasws said: ‘And Iasws swear by Allahazwj, no one would copulate during
these timing which Rasool-Allahsaww has forbidden from, and the news having ended
up to him, so he would be Graced with a child, and he would see in that child what
he does not like’.45

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Al Hakam who said,
‘Abu Shakir Al-Daysani said, ‘In the Quran there is a Verse which is our asws word’. I
said, ‘And what is it?’ So he said, ‘And He is the One Who is God in the sky and
God in the earth [43:84]’. So I did not know what to answer him with.
ُ ك بِالْ ُكوفَ ِة فَِإنَّهُ يَ ُق ْ ت إِلَْي ِه فَ ُق ْل لَهُ َما ٍ ِ َ ت أَبَا َعْب ِد اللَّ ِه ( عليه السالم ) فَ َق

َ ول فَُال ٌن فَ ُق ْل َك َذل َ ُاْسْ فُ َال ٌن فَ ُق ْل لَهُ َما

ٌإِلَهٌ َو ِيف ُك ِّل َم َكان إِلَه
So I went for Hajj and informed Abu Abdullahasws. So heasws said: ‘This is a speech of
a wicked atheist. When you return to him, so say to him, ‘What is your name in Al-
Kufa?’ So he would be saying, ‘So and so’. So say to him, ‘What is your name in Al-
Basra?’ So he would be saying, ‘So and so’. So say, ‘Similar to that is Allah azwj, our
Lordazwj, Godazwj in the sky and Godazwj in the earth, and Godazwj in the oceans, and
Godazwj in the wilderness, and in every place, Godazwj’.
. ت ِم َن ا ْحلِ َجا ِز ِ ِ ِ َ ال فَ َق ِدمت فَأَتَيت أَبا شاكِ ٍر فَأَخب رتُه فَ َق
ْ َال َهذه نُقل ُ َْ ْ َ َ ُ ْ ُ ْ َ َق
He (the narrator) said, ‘So I proceeded and went over to Abu Shakir and informed
him. So he said, ‘This has been transmitted from Al-Hijaz’.46
فغضب: أين اهلل تعاىل؟ قال- يا عمر- أخربِّن أنت، بقيت مسألة واحدة: ُث قال السقف- )السيد الرضي يف (اْلصاِئص

. من سبع ْساوات من عند ريب: من أين أرسلت؟ قال:) فقال له رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله،أتاه ملك فسلم
Then the Bishop said, ‘There remain one question. You inform me – O Umar –
where is Allahazwj the Exalted?’ Umar got angry, so Amir-al-Momineenasws said: ‘Iasws
will answer you, and ask whatsoever you like to. We were in the presence of Rasool-
Allahsaww one day, when an Angel came up and greeted. So Rasool-Allahsaww said to
him: ‘From where have you been Sent?’ He said: ‘From the seventh sky, from the
Presence of my Lordazwj’.
. من سبع أرضني من عند ريب: فقال له رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) من أين أرسلت؟ قال، فسلم،ُث أتاه ملك آخر
Then another Angel came up, so Rasool-Allahsaww said to him: ‘From where have
you been Sent?’ He said: ‘From the seventh firmament, from the Presence of my
Lordazwj’.

. من مشرق الشمس من عند ريب: فقال له رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) من أين أرسلت؟ قال، فسلم،ُث أتاه ملك آخر
Then another Angel came up, and greeted. So Rasool-Allahsaww said to him: ‘From
where have you been Sent?’ He said: ‘From the east of the sun, from the Presence
of my Lordazwj’.
. من مغرب الشمس من عند ريب: من أين أرسلت؟ فقال:) فقال له رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله،ُث أتى ملك آخر
Then another Angel came up, so Rasool-Allahsaww said to him: ‘From where have
you been sent?’ He said: ‘From the west of the sun, from the Presence of my
Lordazwj’.
Thus, Allahazwj is over here, and over there, in the sky He azwj is God, and in the earth
Heazwj is God, and Heazwj is the Wise, the Knower’.
.» و ال يعزب عن علمه شيء تبارك و تعاىل، «معناه من ملكوت ريب يف كل مكان:)قال أبو جعفر (عليه السالم
Abu Ja’farasws said: ‘Its Meaning is – From the Kingdom of my Lordazwj, in every
place, and there is nothing which is far from Hisazwj Knowledge, the Blessed and
Exalted’.47
VERSES 85 - 87
اع ِة َوإِلَْي ِه َّ ض َوَما بَْي نَ ُه َما َو ِعْن َدهُ ِع ْل ُم ِ السماو ِ
تُْر َجعُو َن َ الس ِ ات َو ْال َْر ُ َوتَبَ َارَك الَّذي لَهُ ُم ْل
َ َ َّ ك
}85{
And Blessed is the One for Whom is the kingdom of the skies and the earth
and what is between them, and with Him is Knowledge of the Hour, and to Him
you will be Returning [43:85]
ْ ِاعةَ إَِّال َم ْن َش ِه َد ب
}86{ احلَ ِّق َوُه ْم يَ ْعلَ ُمو َن َّ ين يَ ْدعُو َن ِم ْن ُدونِِه ِ َّوَال َيَْلِك ال
َ الش َف َ ُذ َ
And those they are supplicating to from besides Allah cannot control
intercession, except one who testifies with the Truth and they know (him)
[43:86]

And if you were to ask them who created them, they would certainly say,
‘Allah’. Then why are they deluded? [43:87]
‘From Abu Ja’farasws, and from Uqba, from Abu Ja’farasws having said: ‘Allahazwj
Created the creatures. So Heazwj Created whatever Heazwj Loved from what Heazwj
Loved, and it was so that what Heazwj Loved, Heazwj Created from the clay of the
Paradise. And Heazwj Created whatever Heazwj Hated from what Heazwj Hated, and it
was so that what Heazwj Hated, Heazwj Created from the clay of the Fire. Then He azwj
Sent them into the shadows’.

َ َب َو أَنْ َكَرَها َم ْن أَبْغ
َّ َح ِ ُ ض ُهم ُُثَّ َد َع
َ اه ْم إ َىل َوَاليَتنَا فَأَقَ َّر هبَا َو اللَّه َم ْن أ ْ ُ ض ُه ْم َو أَنْ َكَر بَ ْع َ ِّاْقْ َرا ِر بِالنَّبِي
ُ ني فَأَقَ َّر بَ ْع ِْ اه ْم إِ َىل
ُ ُُثَّ َد َع
. َّيب َُث ِ ٍ َ َُه َو قَ ْولُهُ فَما كانُوا لِيُ ْؤِمنُوا َِّبا َك َّذبُوا بِِه ِم ْن قَ ْب ُل ُُثَّ ق
ُ ال أَبُو َج ْع َفر ( عليه السالم ) َكا َن التَّكْذ
Then Heazwj Called them to the acknowledgment with the Prophets as. So some of
them acknowledged, and some of them denied. Then He azwj Called them to ourasws
Wilayah. So the one who acknowledges it, by Allah azwj, is the one whom Heazwj
Loved, and the one who denied it, he is the one whom Allah azwj Hated. And these are
Hisazwj Words: but they did not believe due to what they had belied with from
before [10:74]’. Then Abu Ja’farasws said: ‘It was so that the belying was then and
there’.48
" وإذا أخذ ربك من بين: عن أيب عبد اهلل (ع) يف قول اهلل تعاىل، عن زرارة، عن مجيل بن دراج، عن فضاله بن أيوب،عن أبيه
، فأنساهم املعاينة وأثبت االقرار يف صدورهم، كان ذلك معاينة هلل:آدم من ظهورهم ذريتهم و أشهدهم على أنفسهم " قال
From him, from his father, from Fazala Bin Ayoub, from Jameel Bin Daraaj, from Zarara,
‘From Abu Abdullahasws regarding the Words of Allahazwj the Exalted: And when
your Lord Seized from the Children of Adam, their offspring from their

foreheads and Made them testify against their own selves [7:172]. The Imamasws
said: ‘That was a Preview of Allahazwj, so they forgot the preview, and the acceptance
was affirmed in their chests.
." " ولئن سئلتهم من خلقهم ليقولن اهلل: وهو قول اهلل،ولو ال ذلك ما عرف أحد خالقه وال رازقه
And had it not been for that, no one would have recognised who his Creator was, or
who his Sustainer was. And these are the Words of Allah azwj: And if you were to
ask them who created them, they would certainly say, ‘Allah’ [43:87]’.49
VERSES 88 & 89
، مجيعا، و حممد بن احلسني، و حممد بن حيىي، عن حممد بن عيسى، عن سهل، و غريه، عن حممد بن احلسن:حممد بن يعقوب
عن أيب عبد اهلل (عليه، عن عبد احلميد بن أيب الديلم، و عبد الكرَي بن عمرو، عن إْساعيل بن جابر،عن حممد بن سنان
و، «فلما بعث اهلل عز و جل حممدا (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) سلم له العقب من املستكفظني: قال فيه- يف حديث-)السالم
، و جاهد يف سبيله، و دعا إىل اهلل عز و جل،كذبه بنو إسراِئيل
Muhammad Bin Yaqoub, from Muhammad Bin Al-Hassan, and someone else, from Sahl, from
Muhammad Bin Isa, and Muhammad Bin yahya, and Muhammad Bin Al-Husayn, altogether, from
Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ismail Bin Jabir, and Abdul Kareem Bin Amro, from Abdul Hameed Bin
Abu Al-Daylam,
Abu Abdullahasws – in a Hadeeth – in which heasws said: ‘So when Allahazwj Mighty
and Majestic Sent Muhammadsaww, the offspring from those that had preserved it
submitted to himsaww, and the Children of Israel belied himsaww. And hesaww called to
Allahazwj Mighty and Majestic, and struggled in Hisazwj Way.
و ال، و مل يبعث إليهم نيب، مل يكن فيهم كتاب، إن العرب قوم جفاة:ُث أنزل اهلل جل ذكره عليه أن أعلن فضل وصيك فقال
. و ال يؤمنون يب إن أنا أخربِتم بفضل أهل بيِت، و ال شرفهم،يعرفون نبوة النبياء

comprehend the Prophet-hood of the Prophetsas, nor theiras nobility. They will not
believe mesaww if Isaww were to inform them of the merits of the Peopleasws of mysaww
Household’.
فعلم، فوقع النفاق يف قلوهبم، فذكر من فضل وصيه ذكرا،ف يَ ْعلَ ُمو َن ٌ َو قُ ْل َس، َو ال ََْتَز ْن َعلَْي ِه ْم:فقال اهلل جل ذكره
َ الم فَ َس ْو
َ َ فَِإن َُّه ْم ال يُ َك ِّذبُون،ص ْد ُرَك َِّبا يَ ُقولُو َن
ك َو َ يق
ِ َ َّ و لََق ْد نَعلَم أَن: فقال اهلل جل ذكره،رسول اهلل (صلى اهلل عليه و آله) ذلك
ُ ك يَض ُْ َ
.» و لكنهم ِجكدون بغري حجة هلم،آيات اللَّ ِه َِْج َك ُدو َن ِ ِلك َّن الظَّالِ ِمني ب

So Allahazwj, Majestic is Hisazwj Mention Said: and do not grieve upon them
[16:127], and say: ‘Salam!’, for soon they would come to know [43:89]. So
hesaww mentioned the virtues of hissaww successorasws, and hypocrisy occurred in their
hearts’.50
