RULES AND REGULATIONS
General Rules
1. The tournament will be a one day league.
2. Open to Filipino players and gender as long as the player is Born 2002 and
above.
3. At least two (2) Female players are required to be inside the court during the
games.
4. Team assembly and registration is in Pakistan Association of Dubai near
Oud Metha Metro Station is required at 5:00pm.
5. The games will be held at Al Nasr Club, Dubai near Oud Metha Metro Station at
December 17, 2023 (Sunday) from 6:30pm to 11:00pm.
6. A per team game schedule will be provided by the committee.
7. A line-up gallery will be required to determine the leveling of each player.
8. Should there be any loss or damage of valuable items or in the unfortunate event
of an injury, the One Dela Cruz Committee and Paskong Palarong Pinoy
organizers assumes no liability for any of these cases.
9. All players are expected to be in appropriate sportswear during a match.
10. All players should also wear numbered jerseys in order to identify their positions
in the R-5.
11. Teams are expected to be in the venue at least 15 minutes before their match. A
2-minute defaulting time will be applied.
12. Team captains will be asked to sign on the score sheet after every game.
13. Only players that are having their respective games are allowed within the court
vicinity area.
14. Teams who are waiting for their respective games are required to stay in the
bleachers located in the second floor of the venue.
15. All participating teams are expected to always wear a face mask, observe social
distancing of at least 2 meters, and to follow other COVID-19 precautions such
as staying in the bleachers while waiting for their next game.
Format of Tournament
1. The tournament will consist 5 teams, round robin method.
2. The games will be held at Al Nasr Club, Dubai near Oud Metha Metro Station at
December 17, 2023 (Sunday) from 6:30pm to 11:00pm
3. Team assembly and registration is in Pakistan Association of Dubai near
Oud Metha Metro Station is required at 5:00pm.
4. At least two (2) Female players are required to be inside the court during the
games.
5 Teams format
A round robin format will be followed.
The top one (1) rank will automatically qualify in the semi-finals match.
The rank one (1) will be against the winner of rank four (4) versus rank five (5) in
the play-in match-up
The rank two (2) will be against rank three (3) for the semi-finals match.
Each team will have a total of 4 games during the round robin games.
The estimated time for each game is 20 minutes.
R-5 of each team is required before their respective games.
Buddy-buddy substitution system with maximum three substitutions each.
Proper rotation all throughout the league.
In case of a team libero, only one libero is allowed per game for each team.
During the round robin games, the match point is twenty-one (21) without deuce
and time-out for each team.
During the play-in match-ups, the match point is twenty-one (21) with deuce and
one time-out for each team.
During the play-in quarterfinals, the match point is twenty-one (21) with deuce
and one time-out for each team.
During the semi-finals, the match point is twenty-five (25) with deuce and one
time-out for each team.
During the championship, the match point is twenty-five (25) with deuce and two
time-outs for each team.
Should there be a tie between two teams, a win-over-the-other rule will be
applied.
In the case of multiple ties between more than 2 teams, the scores obtained in
the matches played between the teams involved will be totaled, wherein the team
with the highest score will be selected. Should there still be a tie in score
between two teams, a win-over-the-other rule will be applied.
Giveaways will be given by the Filipino Social Club committee
The champion will be awarded a cash prize of AED 600 and the 1st runner-up will
also be awarded a cash prize of AED 300.
Teams and Registration
1. Strictly for FILIPINO players born 2002 and above.
2. In case of any concerns regarding a player’s age, the One Dela Cruz committee
will have the final decision regarding the concern.
3. A social media group chat will made by the organizer to all the teams line-up with
a photo gallery of each team.
4. Each participating team can only have a minimum of six (6) and maximum of ten
(10) players.
5. Team captains are required to submit their final team line-up with a photo gallery
until December 12, 2023 (Sunday).
6. The registration fee for this One Day League is AED 600.
