1. General
Wind alarm panel is the equipment to meet Exxon-mobile 2017 rule requirement such as
MESQAC 2017 (Marine Environmental Safety and Quality Assurance Criteria for Tanker Vessels)
ExxonMobil E17/E1a: Vessels MUST be fitted with an anemometer Display /Monitoring Repeater
in the record (paper or digital) wind speed and direction, and designed to be capable of setting
a minimum speed limits with Audible/Visual Alarms in the CCR and on Deck if the set limits are
exceeded.
The equipment for suspension a unloading work with alarming against winding beyond setting
result when anchoring and unloading cargo oil or gas. It gets alarmed from wind alarm panel
in the cargo control room of the vessel inside and the incurred alarm warning is recognized
through the electric horn installed inside and on deck side.

4. Communication

NMEA, NMEA 0183 is the standard for transmitting information such as time, location.
NMEA 0183 is determined on National Marine Electronics Association and use a serial bus
communication, ASCII code.

7. Display Window
7.1 Booting Display

Referring to ‘Section 3 Configuration, when Power on ‘④ Power switch’,


it starts booting. First, ‘⑤ Buzzer stop with flickering lamp’ starts blinking
slowly and the blinking is getting faster and show the above display. Generally,
it takes about 20 sec.

7.2 ANE View

In the top menu, when you press the button, the above display is
shown.

User can see the wind speed and direction information from anemometer.

1) The unit / alarm limit / direction mode / vessel statue. Etc, are able to set on
‘Setup’ menu and re-boot, the setting is applied. The details can be found
on Section 9 Operating Setup.

a. SPEED : The speed unit : ‘m/s’ or ‘knots’


Alarm set point : ‘High alarm limit’ and ‘H/High alarm limit’
Shown form : Analog point and Digital value

b. Direction : ‘Relative type mode’ or 'True type mode’


Shown form : Analog point and Digital value

c. Vessel Status : ‘Voyage mode’ or ‘Anchorage mode’

d. Date/Time : ‘UTC’ or ‘DGPS’ time & date

7.3 Plot View

In the top menu, when you press the button, the above display is
shown.
It shows that the wind speed and direction information from Anemometer in
data over time shortly.
1) Yellow bar( ) means wind speed. User can see the data during on 5
mins as plot form, the each point is 1 sec.

2) Green bar( ) means wind direction, User can see the data on right
screen as vertical graph.

7.4 Data View

When press button, the above display is shown.


It shows the history of High alarm and H-high alarm.

If select the certain date, user can see the alarm list occurred alarm on the date.
If there is no alarm on the date, the list is empty as the below picture.

7.5 Set-Up

When press button, user can see the above display.


All setting regarding anemometer can be arranged on this menu.
The details can be found on Section 9. Operating Setup.

When press button, user can see the above display.


This menu shows information about manufacture company and details.
In addition, the model name and firmware version can be confirmed.

8. Data View & Delete, Saving
8.1 Data view
When press button, you can see the Data view display.

If user needs a history of high alarm and high high alarm on certain date, click
the button and select the date.

During on searching, the below message is shown.

After 1~2 sec, The list of alarm would be shown in sequence of time.

8.2 Data delete
1). Delete the alarm list that had been occurred before 1 year.
a. Press the button, user can see the below display.

b. Press , It is able to delete the data had been occurred


before 1 year as present.
c. Press and go to the ‘Setup’ menu, press .
Then the below dialog is shown.

Input the password ‘2000’ and press the ,


Now, the system starts re-booting and the data before 1 year has been
deleted completely.

※ ATTENTION : BEFORE DELETE DATA, RECOMMEND TO BACKUP TO


YOUR DISK

8.3 Data View Refresh
1). Refresh the History List of Wind Speed Alarm
a. When press , user can see the below display.

8.4 Data saving
1). Save the History List of Wind Speed
a. Press the button, user can see the below display.

b. Input USB stick to ③ USB port(‘Section 3 Configuration’).


And press the button.
Then, all alarm data is saved to USB as Excel file, and delete the list
on wind alarm system.

c. Go to the ‘Setup’ menu, press .


Then the below dialog is shown.

Input the password ‘2000’ and press the , Now, the system
starts re-booting.

9.1 ANE Setup


1). Wind speed Unit

9.2 System Environment

1). Test Printer


If press the button, the below message will be printed.

If the print is not operated, the printer is abnormal.

2). Manager Mode! : This mode is for modifying DATE, TIME, special set for system.
The details can be found on Section 9.3.

3). Setup Save : It is for saving the change of set. If there is any change on set,
User should press this for applying it to system.

9.3 Date_Time Update
※ ATTENTION : This mode affects seriously to whole system, so, please
operate this mode only for special situation.

1) In the Setup, press the , the below dialog is shown.

10. Accessories
Accessories of wind alarm panel are installed outside of the vessel, which has
electric horn that sailors can recognize an alarm for wind speed beyond
setting result. There is a manual for electric horn separately so please refer
to the manual. Two electric horns are installed in PORT and STBD on deck
side each to listen an alarm in both sides.

11. Caution
① Touch screen is easy to be damaged so, do not touch it as anything sharp
and do not give any shock.

② Please be carefully when connect cable on backside of AC-WAS100(R1)


to connect terminals the each cable correctly.
The details can be found on Section 5. Electrical connections.
* The system can be damaged when it is incorrect connection.

③ If there is an error of system, Please re-boot as press POWER button to


OFF of ④ ‘Section Configuration’.

12. Troubleshoot
