DICOT STEM
Identification features:-
 Vascular bundles are conjoint and collateral.
 Xylem is endarch.
Hence it is a stem.
 Vascular bundles are limited in number.
 Vascular bundles are arranged in a ring manner.
 Vascular bundles are open.
Hence it is a dicot stem
The given specimen is Dicot Stem.

MONOCOT STEM
Identification features:-
 Vascular bundles are conjoint and collateral.
 Xylem is endarch.
Hence it is a stem.
 Vascular bundles are numerous in number
and scattered in ground tissue.
 Vascular bundles are closed.
 Xylem is arranged in ‘Y’ shape or ‘V’ shape.
Hence it is a monocot stem
The given specimen is Monocot Stem.

MONOCOT ROOT
Identification features:-
 Vascular bundles are radial.
 Xylem is exarch.
 Root hairs are present.
Hence it is a root.
 Vascular bundles are numerous in number.
 Pith is large.
 Xylem is round in shape.
Hence it is a monocot root.
The given specimen is Monocot Root.
