Introduction

The study finds that social media marketing helps us to promote online

business. This research proposal is aimed at the determination of the effects of

social media on the sales and marketing activities of companier. The sole purpose of

this study is to determine how effective social marketing is in promoting small

businesses. For example social media platforms such as Facebook can be used in

promotion because it entails utilizing numerous Facebook methods, tools, and

features to reach and engaged with a specific audience.

Facebook differs from other social media platforms inseveral ways. User base

and reach: Facebook has the largest user base among social media platforms, with

billions of active users worldwide. This gives it a massive reach and make it a

primary platform for connecting with friends, family, and a broader audience. With

Facebook, users can not only post comments and photos, but they can also look

through their local news feeds, create live videos, make an event plant, send

messages to friends, ask for recommendations, and buy or sell items. Facebook also

tends to have a wider audience than most social media sites.

Social media platforms provide valuable insights into the target audiences

preferences, interests, and behavior. By utilizing analytics tools available on

platforms such as Facebook businesses can gather data on the demographics and

behaviors of their followers, allowing them to tailor their marketing strategies

accordingly. This data-driven approach enables businessess to create highly

personalized and relevant content, increasing engagement and ultimately leading to

conversations.
Background of the study

Along with the evolution of it-based companies, social media has become one

of the most blooming sectors where youth are the major users and followers of such

media. To put your Facebook marketing into action, you’ll need a business page and

students to create and position campaigns to raise awareness of the students brand.

Over 36.7% of the worlds population uses Facebook monthly. Despite going

through a tough year in the past few years, Facebook remains the most used social

media platform. For marketers trying to reach almost every demographic, Facebook

is a required component of a social marketing strategy. It can help students website

generate sales. Facebook is the place or way to generate more income.

Back in the days, television ads, newspapers, leaflets, and radio was all the

business could rely upon to market their products and services. Nowadays many of

people are using modern technology to promote online, using internet to upload a

high quality of their products. With the help of social media, it helps the student to

promote online business, to make faster communication to customers. Social media

has the big impact to the students that helps them to gain more customers and helps

them in their everyday life. Students are able to take advantage of these platforms to

upload their products, connects with other people for their online businesses.

Research objectives

The guiding objectives of the study is derived from the overall or guiding

research question. As such, this research aim at promoting online business through

social media. The research will aim at achieving the following specific objectives:
1) To know the strength of digital marketing.

2) The study about the effectiveness of facebook marketing among the social media

users.

3) To analyse various ways that facebook is using to promote the product.

4) To find out whether facebook is a preferable marketing tool over some other

devices in online media.

5) To evaluate the facebook is a better marketing tool than any other social network.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study aimed to provide valuable information of Effectiveness of social

media platform such as Facebook in promoting the online business of San Pableños

in San Pablo City Laguna. The generalisation of this study would be a great

contribution to their existing knowledge about the topic. The results of the study will

be a great benefit to the following:

Students. The result of this study is to help students to appreciate the

effectiveness of social media marketing for building small business. Millenials

(students) nowadays are constantly hooked on social media for gathering

information, surfing from their favourite brands and others that will interest them. This

study offers practical insights into assessing and implementing Facebook marketing

for online busineses.

Small business. This study empowers small business owners to engage

with consumers online, simplifying outreach identifying potential needs. This study

will be beneficial for small business owners to engaged with consumers online and
make it easy for them to reach out to potential consumers and see what needs to be

done. Doing business online unlocks significant growth opportunities for small

businesses.

Consumers. Consumers benefit from easy access to new trends,products,

and online sellers, simplifying product discovery and purchase. Social media has a

big impact nowadays on people, it will be easy for the consumers to find the

business online. It will be more convenient for them to find a product and they can

easily order it online.

The Future Reseachers. The study findings can inform future research,

providing additional context and suggesting areas for improvement.

enhances customers relationships management by achieving strong bonds between

the customer and all the organization, therefore adding to the strength of the

organization. Knowing the preferences of customers helps in developing more

competitive products and developing more effective advertising campaigns.

Research Design

A research design is generally defiened as a series of logical steps that

enhances the validity of the findings. For example, Burns & Grove, (2009) define it

as “a blueprint for conducting a study with supreme control over features that may

empede with the legitimacy of the findings”. Similarly, Paraboo, (2006) defines a

research design as “a plan that depicts how, when and where data are to be

gathered and examined”. This study was interested in describing the associations

between variables to describe the effectiveness of Facebook advertising. It was

descriptive in purpose and correlational in its type of investigation.

It was designed to think systematically with factors related to the effectiveness

of Facebook advertising. It was conducted in a natural environment with minimal

interference by the researcher. It was a field study conducted at a university campus

during the normal flow of events. The unit of analysis was the individual, as the aim

was to describe the benefits of facebook advertising in the eye of the individual.

Research Methodology

Research methodology is an efficient methodto tackle research issues. It

provides ways and means to solve research problems.

Sources of Data
The research makes use of both primary and secondary sources of

information. The primary data was collected with the use of a structured survey that

was managed to be sent out to selected people who had Facebook accounts. Data

from secondary sources such as websites, journals, and other publications were

collected.

Sample design

Population: People who live in around the San Pablo and who are logged in

to Facebook at the time of the research made up the sample population.

Sample size: For the purpose of the research, a sample size of one hundred

participants who had Facebook accounts was choosen.

Sampling method: Convenience sampling was the method that was used for
