NAME OF ACTIVITY: 2023 SCOUTING MONTH CELEBRATION AND CULMINATION
ACTIVITIES

PARTICIPANTS: School Head, GPTA Officers, Teachers, Parents, Pupils
DESCRIPTION:
Scouting Month Celebration is a national event that is implemented as an activity to
engage the youth in social skills and team building development. This trains the learners
patriotism, good behavior, promptness and interpersonal skills. In today’s month the BSP
celebrates scouting with a theme “ Youth Engagement: Sustaining Relevance and Strengthening
Resilience’ and GSP’s theme “ Our World, Our Peaceful Future: The Environment & Peace”, both
the BSP and GSP has its goals in making our future youth better leaders of tomorrow.
The Villa Aurora Elementary School answered this call and did some preparatory
drills to orient some learners who have less/no experience of this activity. Teachers planned
out and facilitated the games and other activities in celebration of the scouting month.
OBJECTIVES:
The activity aims to:
Celebrate the scouting month
To orient and train the pupils on the policies, procedures, oaths and laws
of scouts.
To prepare the learners for the culmination program of Scouting Month
Celebration.
HIGHLIGHTS:
On October 24, 2023, BSP Camp “O” Rally & GSP Encampment 2023 was held at
the Villa Aurora Elementary to culminate the celebration of Scouting Month. The event was
divided into three parts: first, to officially opened the event; second for the games and skills
competition and the third for the torch parade and campfire ceremony. The program
commenced through the marching of colors on the procession of the Philippine National
Anthem. Next, the scout leaders lead their troops in rededication of scout oath, laws and
promise. Ms. Jonalyn Candaza, the GPTA President gave her welcome message. And Sir
Wilson G. Pasa, the School Head gave his warm welcome and gratitude to the supportive
parents and teachers.
In the afternoon, games and skills competition were ace by the scouters with
enthusiasm and agile. The boy scouts showed their skills well on the compass and
bamboo cooking. While the girl scouts become resourceful on their frying egg in a paper
pan game. Kab and Star scouts together with the kids and twinkler scouts undeniably
enjoyed every game they played. Included in those games are the: message relay,
compass relay,driving the pig home, longest line, scout law relay and other invented
games. Teachers have been creative and innovative in making new and engaging games
The teachers that are assigned in varying teams of scouters: Sir Mark Anthony C. Copino
trained the Boys Scouts, Ma’am Maria Linda Yanga to the Girl Scouts, Sir Dionel P.
Posion to the Kawan and Kid Scouts and Jessa E. del Pilar for Stars Scouts and
Twinklers.
At dusk, the torch parade and campfire ceremony were held on Villa Aurora E.S.
grounds, parents also participated in the said activity. The scouters showcased their
talents on the presentation of yells. Finally, Sir Wilson G. Pasa made the awarding of
ribbons.
LIST OF ISSUES FOR RESOLUTION:
No critical issues arise during the event.

Learners actively participated as they were supported by their parents and
guided by their teachers.

LOGISTICAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Scouting helps the pupil’s promptness and obedience. This too hone their
social, communication, leadership and team building skills.
