2. Objective
The main objectives of the lab work are as follows:
1. To understand and apply Relative, Absolute and Mixed cell reference.

2. To understand and create a PivotTable to analyze data in excel.

3. To practice preparing result sheet of student.

4. To represent data graphically using charts.

3. Theoretical Background
In Excel, cell references play a crucial role in formulas, and they can be relative, absolute, or
mixed. Relative references adjust automatically when copied or filled to other cells, adapting
their position accordingly. Absolute references remain fixed regardless of copying, denoted
by a dollar sign before the column letter and/or row number. Mixed references combine
relative and absolute components, allowing either the row or column to adjust while keeping
the other fixed. PivotTables, on the other hand, are powerful tools for data analysis in Excel.
They summarize and organize large datasets by arranging data based on different criteria,
providing valuable insights. Creating a PivotTable involves selecting the data range,
specifying the location, and arranging fields to summarize the data. Result sheet preparation
for students involves organizing their scores or grades in a table, calculating totals and
averages, and customizing the sheet's appearance. Graphical representation using charts in
Excel helps visually present data through various chart types, such as bar charts, line charts,
and pie charts, making it easier to interpret and analyze information.
