Symptom
The processing possibilities for the costing sheet or for its components in the
production system do not fulfill your expectations. You would like to either
allow the entire costing sheet or only the overhead rates to be maintained in
the production system, or you would like to exclude the costing sheet completely
from the processing.
In the SAP standard system, the processing of the costing sheet in the
production system is provided as "Current settings" and accessible from the
Implementation Guide (IMG) and from the menu of the particular application
(example: 'Accounting > Controlling > Orders', then 'Environment > Current
settings > Period end:Maintain calculation schema' (in Releases prior to 4.6),
or 'Accounting > Controlling > Internal Orders > Period-End Closing > Current
Settings > Maintain Costing Sheet' (as of Release 4.6).
If the processing of only the overhead rates in the production client is
prevented due to the error message TK430 ("Client &1 has status 'not
modifiable'"), consider Note 301665.
The procedure described below permits you to restrict the processing of the
costing sheet in the production system to whichever scope you want. The settings
affected by this influence the maintenance of the costing sheet equally in the
IMG as well as under the current settings of the application menu. This
procedure is a modification and, if necessary, must be repeated after the next
upgrade.

Reason and Prerequisites
So that current settings can be made, the role of the client must be set to 'P =
production'. You can check this in the client maintenance Transaction SCC4.
Solution
In order to be able to edit a Customizing activity as current setting, that is, in
the production system, the following prerequisites are to be met:
1. The IMG activity must be entered in table CUSAMEN.
2. In table OBJH, the "Current setting" indicator of the Customizing object
belonging to the IMG activity (for example, the called individual Transaction,

2022-11-24 310768
or the view or view cluster called up with Transaction SM30 or SM34) must be
set.
The adjustment of CUSAMEN and OBJH after changes have been made occurs
automatically as of Release 4.6 and manually in a Release prior to Release 4.6
using report ZSIMG025 attached to Note 77430. Transaction SOBJ calls up a view
for table OBJH.
Transaction SOBJ calls a view onto table OBJH. On the detail screen SOBJ, you
have to set the indicator "Current setting" to be able to edit the corresponding
application in the production system in the change mode:
Customizing object Application Transaction
CO_CALC Costing structure and row KZS2
CO_CALC1 Calculation base cost element KZB2
CO_CALC2 Percentage Overhead Rates KZZ2
CO_CALC3 Credit KZE2
CO_CALC4 Quantity-Based Overhead Rates KZM2
CO_CALC6 Calculation basis
Cost Center/Activity type KZB4
V_KONX Detail of all overhead rates
For the case that is not possible to edit the required application in the
production system even after these settings, the required further procedure is
displayed in Note 135028 and in Note 77430 release-independent. Depending on the
application in which the costing sheet is used, the technical name of the IMG
activity and the area menu differ. Ascertain these names according to the
instructions in Note 135028.
The following example lists the technical names and area menu for the overhead
rates in the internal orders menu:
Activity Transaction Technical Name Area menu
Costing sheet KZS2 SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2 KAMN
Perc. overh.rate KZZ2 SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZZ2 KAMN
Quant.-based overh.rate KZM2 SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZM2 KAMN
The detail screen of the overhead rates corresponds to Customizing object
V_KONX. Set the current setting indicator for V_KONX if you want to maintain
overhead rates in the production system.
Make sure that the following settings have been made depending on which
processing possibility was wanted:
• You want to maintain the costing sheet in the production system:
• Prior to Release 4.6:
In table CUSAMEN maintained with Transaction SM30, the documentation
object SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2 of the area menu KAMN of the class SIMG is
available. In the detail display (pushbutton "Detail") of Transaction
SOBJ, the "Current settings" indicator has been set for the view
cluster CO_CALC
• As of Release 4.6:
The IMG activity for 'Internal Orders > Actual Postings > Overhead
Rates > Maintain Costing Sheets' is SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2. The "Current
settings" indicator has been set in the header data of the Customizing
object CO_CALC (select "Maintain objects" on the tabstrip).

• 2. You only want to process the overheads, not the entire costing sheet in
the production system.
• Prior to Release 4.6:
In table CUSAMEN maintained with Transaction SM30, the documentation
object SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2 of the area menu KAMN of the class SIMG is
not available. In the detail display (pushbutton "Detail")of
Transaction SOBJ, the "Current settings" indicator has not been set for
the view cluster CO_CALC.
Instead, the documentation objects SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZZ2 (percentage
overheads) and SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZM2 (quantity-based overheads) are
available in table CUSAMEN using Transaction SM30. The "Current
settings" indicator was set for view clusters CO_CALC2 and CO_CALC4 via
the execution of the report ZSIMG025. You can verify this on the detail
screen of both objects using Transaction SOBJ.
• As of Release 4.6:
The "Current settings" indicator has not been set for the IMG activity
SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2, however, the indicator was set for the two
activities SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZZ2 and SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZM2 in accordance
with Note 135028.
• You do not want to maintain the costing sheet in the production client.
• Prior to Release 4.6:
In table CUSAMEN maintained with Transaction SM30, none of the
documentation objects SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2, SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZZ2 or
SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZM2 are available. The "Current settings" indicator has
not been set for any of the view clusters CO_CALC, CO_CALC2 or CO_CALC4
in the detail display (pushbutton "Detail") of Transaction SOBJ.
• As of Release 4.6:
The "Current settings" indicator has not been set for any of the IMG
activities SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZS2, SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZZ2 or
SIMG_CFMENUORKAKZM2.
