Describe how you have taken advantage of a significant educational opportunity

or worked to overcome an education barrier you have faced.
I have dealt with many educational obstacles and barriers throughout my highschool
Carrer. One specific obstacle that I have dealt with my whole school career is grades. Ive
always struggled with grades. I have always been someone to do an assignment or something
nesseisary at the last minute. As COVID-19 Affected me freshman year I didnt do too great with
my assignments and didnt successfully pass any of my classes. Sophomore year went rolling by
and I had given up and didnt pass some of my classes. I was not set for graduation and I was
heading to graduating high school with my peers and not even walking on the stage. As I Spoke
with my cousnler I was told I was not set for graduation and I knew there and then I needed to
change my ways. I took school more seriously and tried harder and harder In classes and In
school in general to achieve my academic goals with passing all my classes for that year with
multiple years of summer school to get back on my credit track. As soon as senior year came by
I was successfully prepared and mentally prepared and satisfied with my academics because of
my determination and hard work to achieve that goal. Thankfully for my supportive teachers and
administrators I was able to make it through the hardship and the struggle I was going through
at the time. I was also able to finish other things that I needed to finish thankfully because of my
administration such as getting my vet science cord and my community service hours cord. I had
completed all this due to the fact that I didnt give up on myself and had the support of many
people. I achieved all my goals and I am able to focus more than how I was freshman and
sophomore year.

2. Think about an academic subject that inspires you. Describe how you have
furthered this interest inside and/or outside of the classroom.
An academic subject that inspires me to over achieve and want to thrive more is
business. I find business so interesting to me because of how much you can do with it.
You can involve yourself in sales or real estate or anything related to that. I have
furthered this interest outside of the classroom by pursuing it in college and wanting to
achieve it for my later career in my life. Not only that I want to achieve it with sales and
hopefully reach my dream career of doing real estate and sales. This subject also very
much inspires me and makes me believe and feel more motivated because of my
teachers that explain to me that business isnt just one branch it can contect with many
other things and I can purse many other career with my business degree. Business is
also a subject that can be really pushed into other things such as starting your own
business and ruining restaurants and having multiple locations and stuff like that. It’s a
subject that has such a wide opportunity page. It's awesome and definitely something
that can really keep you busy for a while. That's a big reason why I enjoy it and How it
furthered my interest. Another reason How I feel this subject has further expanded my
education is the multiple opportunities I can get from it. I have so many chances and
things that I can pursue and help me and educate me into expanding my knowledge on
this subject and achieving my future goals quicker than I expected. One example of
opportunities is in accounting class. I had the opportunity to become certified in
accounting software early, which can really help in the future. It’s going to also help me
 use these opportunities to help myself in the future and help me outside of my school
and the classroom for the real world and the rest of my life as I try to achieve this carrer.

3. What have you done to make your school or your community a better place?
I feel I have made my school a better place by helping others and being a bright
person all the time. Not only that I help anyone as much as I can and I am enrolled as an
Academic Mentor for 2 Classes to help students that are in need of help with their
education. For my community I do lots of community service and I am working on my
community service cord at the moment. I do many things for my community such as
work on drives and help out the county with many of their activities specifically with First
I help volunteer at their events. If it's helping younger kids with their homework to pass
out free backpacks to students in need I try to help as much as I can so I can make my
community and school a better place for everyone else. I also feel just helping out with
events and doing alot of community service is a great and productive way to get more
hours just by helping out with stuff that is needed. You can even make your community
and school a better place at the same time helping with the school. I try to participate in
all my school activities and try to help my school with other fundraisers such as selling
BBQ tickets for the FFA events and helping set up FFA events with other students and
teachers by my side. I also do my best not only to help my school and community but to
help others as well with anything they need. It’s better to help everyone and make
everything a better place in general. I do try my hardest and best in everything I do and I
try to achieve the best results when helping others and my community of Merced.

4. Beyond what has already been shared in your application, what do you believe
makes you stand out as a strong candidate for admissions to the University of
California.
I believe that I am a very strong candidate for admission to Unviersty of
California because I’m a very hardworking person that doesnt give up easily at all. I’m
also very determined in anything I do and I give my best effort in all tasks and things I do
daily. Not only that I’m a very positive person and I’m someone who would make sure
they achieve their goal even if it means committing many hours for it. I’m a hard working
student and I try to get the best of everything I can do and I awlways try to be supportive
and helpful to others that are in need. I believe that If I was accepted into the school that
I am going for that I would be a successful student and a great student. I help the
community alot and try to be as active with activities as much as I possibly can. I do lots
of community service and I try to help as much as I can if possible. Not only that I always
have a smile on my face and I’m always positive everywhere I go. I try to make fun out of
things but I can be very serious when needed and I’m very happy all the time. I am very
supportive to all and I dont put anyone down for no reason at all. I try not to be negative
at all in general because I believe being positive can make other people be positive as
well. I’m a very active person and I like doing extracurricular activities to help others and
just to keep myself active in general. I also love being active in general and I'm always
trying to find something to do. That's why I believe I would be a strong candidate for
admissions.
