The element design course deals with the theories & practicalities of visual design . basic
principal of visual design & composition continue to be emphasized, clarified and
experimented with. This course add an intense elaboration of design principles related to the
practical application of the element of design, focusing on the interaction and relativity.
Students will develop themselves through a series of projects like line composition, line &
shape composition, color composition, motif making & arrangement, etc. students will learn

Before Visit the factory the students will be provided the understanding about the nature, scope
and function of the textile and Garments factory. A general flow chart of the factory would be
presented and after that students will be taken to factories, at least two types of factories. The
purpose of visit is to provide the students the practical knowledge about how textile and
garments factories function and how different department works, the machineries used and its
function, the students will be taken to relevant factories. All factory visits will the preceded and
followed by multimedia presentation on the type of factories the students will visit. After the
visit, students will be required to submit a report on visit.
Introduce with the sewing room management: Introduce to sewing room management,
activities, tools and equipments of sewing room of clothing industries.
Details of the bulk productions process of sewing room: Basic concept of bulk production,
different steps of bulk production, bulk production procedure & advantages of bulk production
Different types of industrial sewing machines: Introduce with the different types sewing
machines such as machines of stitch class-100, 200, 300, 400, 500 & 600 classes which are
very common used in the industry. Machines features, identification of machine etc.
Common applications of industrial sewing machines: Selection of industrial sewing
machines for the different process of garments considering garment materials and seam
standard. Will be discussed very common sewing machines from stitch class-100, 200, 300,
400, 500 & 600 classes
Basic garment analysis: Basic concept of garment analysis & process analysis,
Analysis of following garments theoretically and practically -Men’s and ladies long
