Synopsis
Synopsis
to help students place in context their current stage of networking development in their
school.
to assist students in planning the next stage of network development in their school.
to provide standard networking ‘models’ and best practice to students that will assist students
College Network provides the students of college to form a social networking platform among
themselves, enabling them to connect with their seniors and juniors for sharing of information
and resources.
It provides user features to follow the students, send message to others, post what they like and
ask for some queries on which like and comment feature is available .
All the students registered may be seen college-wise and asked for help. Separate news board
may be developed for each individual college. This Campus Network Scenario is about
designing a topology of a network that is a LAN (Local Area Network) for a College in which
various computers of different departments are set up so that they can interact and communicate
with each other by interchanging data. To design a networking scenario for a college which
connect various departments to each other’s, it puts forward communication among different
departments. CNS is used to design a systematic and well planned topology, satisfying all the
necessities of the college (i.e. client). CNS come up with a network with good performance. CNS
is also providing security and authentication to forbid unauthorized logins.

Feasibility Study
Situation in which the Project Exists: This proposal is for a data communication network to
serve the Maryland public education system. The Maryland legislature recently approved
funding sufficient to pay for the development of this proposal. Pending proposal acceptance by
the Maryland State Public Education Office of Technology (a department within the state Office
of Education), funding will be sought to implement the proposal.
Network Scope: The proposed network is designed to serve the state Office of Education and
two of its school district offices. The state office, located in Kenzington, contains five
departments to be served by this network. Each district office contains four departments to be
served. The North School District is located in Ricksville, 25 miles from the state office.
The South School District is located in Albanton, about 40 miles from the state office. Note that
this network does not serve instructional needs of students; other resources have been allocated
for that purpose. This network is for administrative purposes and is specifically designed to be
independent of student computing facilities.
blocks.
Two-tier model
This design model, illustrated in Figure 3-2 , is more suitable for small to medium-
size campus networks (ideally not more than three functional disruption blocks to
be interconnected), where the core and distribution functions can be combined into
one layer, also known as collapsed core-distribution architecture .
Note: The term functional distribution block refers to any block in the campus
network that has its own distribution layer such as user access block, WAN block, or
data center block.
