FUTURE CONTINUOUS
SUBJ. + WILL BE + VERB IN ING
CUES: used with action verbs only. Stative verbs and one-time verbs
aren’t used with Future Continuous.

Speaking goal 1: Talk about an action that will be in progress at a specific time in the
future. (NORMALLY USED WITH ACTION VERBS)

waiting for the new year.
Speaking goal 2: Say that one will be busy doing an activity at a specific time in the
future.
1. Don’t call me tomorrow afternoon. I’ll be working at the office.
Speaking goal 3: Talk about an action that will be in progress when another action takes
place in the future.
