Outrun
Story: Outrun follows a man with vengeance in his heart as he takes down a mob boss that has
caused a tragic event in his past. He cuts through Goons while he makes his way to the Boss
himself. While his main goal is unclear, we get a small glimpse of what he is trying to do when
he leaves a bloody note behind that gives an unforgiving message to any who find the boss’s
body. Run.

Outrun
-Camera follows blade of katana as it is being swung
-Camera cuts to the man wielding the blade
-Camera cuts back to the blade and follows the blade
*Runner sheaths the blade
-Camera cuts to a behind shot
*The body loses its grip on Runner and falls to the floor with Runner standing over it as the head
rolls to the side showing that it’s disconnected from the body
*Runner throws his hood up and moves his head to the side to show the side profile
-Camera zooms in on Runner’s face
TITLE CARD
-Camera zooms back out
*Title fades out as Runner picks up the phone off the body
*Runner holds the phone up and sends out a text
-Camera cuts to mob boss’s office
-Camera cuts to phone
*A notification pops up on the phone saying: You're next and an attached image
*A hand opens the image and sees the body
*The hand drops the phone and slams onto the table
-Camera cuts to a wide shot of the room
*Mob boss points outward and yells to find him but no audio is heard
*Two goons nod and ready their guns and start to run out
*Mob boss slides back into his chair pushing his hands together in a mountain shape
-Camera cuts to Runner looking over a dark city on a rooftop
*Runner turns back towards the camera and walks off screen
-Camera cuts and follows Runner’s feet as he walks through puddles on the ground level
-Camera pans up to show the phone in Runner’s hand
-Camera cuts to inside the car
*The two goons are looking tracking the phone Runner keeps on him
-Camera cuts to an over the shoulder shot as a black car pulls up behind him
*The goons step out of the car and aim their guns at Runner
-Camera cuts to a wide shot in between them
*Runner turns around to face them
*Goons laugh with no audio
Goon: You really didn’t think we wouldn’t track our own phones?
-Camera cuts to a side shot of Runner’s face
Runner: That’s exactly what I’d hope would happen
-Camera cuts to a hip shot of Runner
*Runner pulls out the sword just barely
*Goons begin to fire on Runner
-Camera cuts to Runner med. shot
-Runner starts to run forward
-Runner kicks one of the goons backwards
-Camera circles the characters while they fight
*The Goon throws a punch at Runner

Outrun
*Runner ducks under the punch
*Runner throws a jab and stuns goon for a second
*The Goon stumbles backwards
*Runner slices with his katana at neck level and the Goon starts to hold his neck as he falls
backwards to the ground
-Camera cuts to one of the Goons falling to the ground dead
-Camera cuts to the other goon’s eyes with a surprised look in his eyes
-Camera follows the goon as he stands to his feet and begins to run
-Camera cuts to a medium shot as the Goon is looking everywhere for Runner
-Camera cuts to behind Runner
*Runner steps out from behind a corner of a building and the camera follows him as he comes
up from behind of the Goon
*The Goon turns around to see Runner approaching him
-Camera cuts to a long shot to show the distance between them
*The Goon pulls out a pistol from his blazer and begins to fire at Runner
Frame rate drop
*Runner runs towards the Goon dodging the bullets and blocking a few with his blade
Frame Rate goes back up
*The Goon’s gun stops firing as the clip is empty
-Camera cuts to a POV shot of the Goon as he looks down at his gun and up to see Runner
right in front of him
*Runner reaches out with both his hands and lifts the Camera up and just asks: where (no
audio)
*Camera cuts to a close shot with Goon still being lifted in the air
*The Goon reaches into his pocket and pulls out a phone and hands it to Runner
*Runner drops the Goon and takes the phone
-Camera follows Runner as he begins to walk off
-Camera cuts to Goon
*Goon stands up
Goon: You can’t take down everyone by yourself! You’ll fail!
-Camera cuts to Runner
*Runner turns around
*Runner pulls out his own pistol and fires once at the Goon
-Camera cuts to a POV shot of Goon on the ground
*Runner is walking off as blood drips into the shot
-Camera cuts to Mob Boss’s office
*Mob boss is yelling something into a walkie talkie (no audio)
*A door opens bringing light into the room
*Runner steps into the doorway casting a shadow onto Mob Boss
-Camera cuts to a wide shot to show the distance between the Mob Boss and Runner
*Runner is very battle damaged
Runner: They can’t hear you.
Mob Boss: I should’ve killed you when I had the chance.
Runner: Probably.

Outrun
Mob Boss: You can’t outrun your demons.
Runner: Your demons just caught up with you.
*Mob Boss reaches under the table and pulls out his own handgun
-Camera cuts to the side shot of the Mob Boss
*Flashes of light hit the Mob Boss’s face
-Camera cuts to Runner as he dives for cover
*SFX of a click
*Runner peaks from out of the cover
-Camera cuts to Mob Boss
*Mob Boss slams his gun onto the table
Mob Boss: Dammit!
-Camera cuts to where Runner is hiding behind cover
*Runner stands up from his cover
-Camera cuts to an up close shot of Runner’s face
*Runner pulls up his pistol and fires a shot with the light flashing onto his face SFX of a gunshot
-Camera cuts to black
-Camera cuts back the the room with a sticky note on Mob Boss’s chest with a bullet wound on
his head and blood dripping down the side of his head
-Camera cuts to a close up of the note
