Evolution and Growth of Muslim Society in The Sub Continent

Islam came to the Indian subcontinent in three stages - first as a new religion, then as an Islamic state, and finally as an Islamic culture and way of life. It was introduced through Arab traders in the 7th century and gained prominence under rulers like Muhammad bin Qasim in the 8th century, the Ghaznavid dynasty in the 10th-12th centuries, the Delhi Sultanate from the 13th to 16th centuries, and the Mughal Empire from the 16th to early 18th centuries, which extended Muslim rule over much of the region. Islam further spread due to the dedicated efforts of Sufi mystics, scholars, and religious leaders.
