1. Why did Pollyanna say/ think that she is glad to wear red dress than black one?
Because she said that now her father, her mother, her brother and sisters are dead and
they are together.
2. What did Pollyanna think about Nancy at the beginning?
She thought that Nancy was Mrs. Polly (her aunt)
3. How did Miss Polly meet Pollyanna? She met her without any smile.
4. What did Pollyanna do when she saw Miss Polly for the first time?
She ran and took her between her arms, then she said to her “I’m glad to meet you, Aunt
Polly.”
5. What was Miss Polly reaction/ reply when Pollyanna started to talk about her
father?
She was very angry and told her “I don’t want to hear about your father.”
6. Describe Pollyanna’s room.
It has no pictures or carpets on it. It only has a table, a chair, a bed, a window and a
closet.
7. When did they have the supper?
They had the supper at 6:00 O’clock.
8. What did Pollyanna do when Nancy went to help with supper?
She opened the window, she climbed out through the window, down the tree in front of it,
and into the garden. From there she ran to a little hill not far away.
9. What was Pollyanna’s punishment she didn’t come to the supper on time?
She will have bread and milk in the kitchen with Nancy.
10. Where did Nancy find Pollyanna?
She found Pollyanna in the garden up the hill.

will think badly of Miss Polly if they saw Pollyanna with her old clothes.

She got out of bed and went to the back room. She opened the window and climbed out
onto the roof of Miss Polly’s room.
