Traditional Pants & Cabled Jacket set for boy 0-3m/16-

Materials
19-22” Doll/0-3m baby
175g double knitting yarn (US: light worsted) (if using 2 colours approx 125g main colour and 50g contrast colour)
4mm needles (UK 8, US 6)
3 ¼ mm needles (UK10, US3)

16-18” Doll/newborn baby


150g 4-ply yarn (US: sport) (if using 2 colours approx 100g main colour and 50g contrast colour)
3 ¼ mm needles(UK 10, US 3)
2 ¾ mm needles (UK12, US2)

Both sizes
6 buttons
Elastic for waistband

Abbreviations Yfwd: Yarn forward


K: knit Yrn: yarn round needle
P: purl Yon: yarn over needle
G-st: garter stitch K2 tog: knit next 2 stitches together
St-st: Stocking stitch P2 tog: purl next 2 stitches together

Tension (in st-st)


4-ply: 28 stitches and 36 rows to 10 cm. (4 inches) on a 3 1/4 mm (US 3)needle.
Double knitting: 22 stitches and 30 rows to 10 cm. (4 inches) on a 4 mm (US 6) needle.

*The pattern is written using the terms ‘larger’ and ‘smaller’ needles. If you are knitting for a 19-22”doll/0-3m baby use
DK yarn and 4mm (larger) and 3¼ mm (smaller) needles as listed in materials. For the 16-18” doll/newborn baby use 4-
ply yarn and 3 ¼ mm (larger)and 2 ¾ mm (smaller) needles.*
