The teacher will review the previous lesson about methods of enhancing the
metal products.
Ask : Can you recall the methods of enhancing/decorating bamboo, wood, and
metal products?
Motivation
Show some pictures of a well-crafted product made by wood, bamboo and metal
Presentation
The teacher will present the lesson through relevant pictures.
Discussion
The teacher will continue to discuss the lesson. The teacher will explain further
the lesson.
Methods of Enhancing Metal Products
1. Engraving - transferring a design on metal using hardened steel tool called burin
or graver to cut into the surface of the metal.
2. Etching - is a process used to make designs or pictures on a metal plate by using
acid that produces corrosive action.
3. Metal Enhancing Media - use of metal paints, markers and antiquing kits give
color to the metal product. Metal paints may be applied using a brush or spray.
4. Texturing and Embossing - in this technique, you will need a hammer, metal,
stamp, stencils, and other materials to create imprints on the metal.
Application :
The teacher will group the class into 3. They will answer the following question below.
1. How do you value the importance of applying techniques to enhance the beauty of your
project? Why?
2.Carla’s private room is painted with cream rose color and she wanted to do some
personal magic touch to make her room elegant. How will you help Carla? If she wanted to
have metal or wood decoration in her room. What do you suggest that best fit to her room?
B. Generalization:
The teacher will ask the learners if they understand the topic by wrapping up
everything that we have discussed about the importance and methods of enhancing and
decorating bamboo, wood, and metal products. Read the paragraph and supply word that
corresponds to the sentence.
Products made of bamboo, wood, and metal can be enhanced through different techniques
in order to increase their (1.) ______________and (2.) __________________. The
different techniques for wood craft are, wood turning, (3) _____________, pyrography,
