FLASHBACK
LILY AND THE STRANGE MAN
The sky was cover with grey angry clouds that thunder, lightning would light up the dark city and the rain was pouring. Lily and her mother were walking in great haste because they had to catch a train ride. Lily ‘s mother had long legs so for every step Lily would take two steps. Lily’s appearance was very really similar to her mother from the long wavy blonde hair, inquisitive blue eyes and rosy pink lips. In Lily ‘s hair was a pink ribbon, that was holding her hair in place when suddenly a gust of wind blew it away. Lily was stunned. She ran after it, leaving her mother dumbfounded. The ribbon got caught by an electric pole. As Lily picked up her pink ribbon, lightning stroke the pole. Lily froze in shock. She was suddenly pushed by someone who looked very familiar. The man was wearing all black and all Lily could see were the brown eyes. Then Lily recalled, her father who would wear the same black coat. It was a dark night; the same night Lily lost her father. They were coming from their dinner, Lily ‘s father was wearing the same black coat. Lily was holding a special gift from her father, the pink ribbon, in a little hand. Her eyes sparkling with amusement, she would cherish this gift with all heart. Lily was lost in her world that she had not heard a truck honking wildly at her. When she turned her head, her eyes widen in shock. As the truck neared, she closed her eyes to embrace the pain but it never came. She felt strong arms enfold around then brutal cries of pain. When she opened her eyes, she witnessed scene that left a whole in heart. Her father was lying there lifeless. Lily rushed to her father side. Begging her mother to call an ambulance. Tears trickled down her cheeks. When the ambulance arrived, lily felt relived but was still alas.
When lily was got out of a daze, she was welcomed by
an incensed but worried mother. ‘Lily! Why did you leave my hand and ran away like that!’ Shouted her worried mother. ‘I`m sorry.’ She muttered with her head down. Her mother hugged her and said softly ‘It’s okay but never do that again. are you hurt anywhere?’ Lily shook her head and said ‘Mum do you know where dad is?’
Lily ‘s mother was stunned by the sudden question. As
they entered the train lily saw the man who saved her. She walked to him and said ‘Thank you for saving me,’ with a beaming smile pasted on her face. The man looked up and his eyes met lily ‘s mother. Realization hit Lily. ‘Dad?’
