Microsoft Word:

Ctrl + N: Create a new document.


Ctrl + O: Open an existing document.
Ctrl + S: Save the current document.
Ctrl + P: Print the document.
Ctrl + Z: Undo the last action.
Ctrl + X: Cut the selected text or object.
Ctrl + C: Copy the selected text or object.
Ctrl + V: Paste the cut or copied text or object.
Ctrl + B: Apply or remove bold formatting.
Ctrl + I: Apply or remove italic formatting.
Ctrl + U: Apply or remove underline formatting.
Ctrl + F: Open the Find dialog box to search for text in the document.
Ctrl + A: Select all text and objects in the document.
Ctrl + S: Save the document.

Microsoft Excel:
Ctrl + N: Create a new workbook.

Windows Key + A: Open the Action Center.

Windows Key + Tab: Open Task View for managing virtual desktops.

Alt + Tab: Switch between open applications.

Ctrl + Shift + Esc: Open Task Manager directly.

Ctrl + Alt + Delete: Open the security options screen.

Window Management Shortcuts:


Windows Key + Left Arrow: Snap the current window to the left side of the screen.

Windows Key + Right Arrow: Snap the current window to the right side of the screen.
Windows Key + Up Arrow: Maximize the current window.

Windows Key + Down Arrow: Minimize the current window or restore it if it’s maximized.

Windows Key + Home: Minimize all windows except the active one.

Alt + F4: Close the active window or application.

Text Editing Shortcuts:


Ctrl + C: Copy the selected text or object.

Ctrl + X: Cut the selected text or object.

Ctrl + V: Paste the cut or copied text or object.

Ctrl + Z: Undo the last action.

Ctrl + A: Select all text or objects.

Ctrl + F: Open the Find dialog box to search for text in a document or browser.

Ctrl + P: Print the current document or webpage.

Folder Shortcuts:
Ctrl + N: Create a new folder in File Explorer.

F2: Rename the selected file or folder.

Ctrl + Shift + N: Create a new folder on the desktop or in File Explorer.

Ctrl + Shift + Esc: Open Task Manager directly.

Alt + Enter: Open the Properties dialog box for the selected file or folder.

Shift + Delete: Permanently delete the selected file or folder without moving it to the Recycle
Bin.

Taskbar Shortcuts:
Windows Key + Number (1-9): Open the correspondin g application pinned to the taskbar.

Windows Key + T: Cycle through the applications on the taskbar using the keyboard.

Windows Key + Shift + Number (1-9): Open a new instance of the corresponding application on
the taskbar.

Windows Key + B: Set focus to the notification area (system tray).

Windows Key + Alt + Number (1-9): Open the Jump List for the corresponding application on the
taskbar.

Virtual Desktop Shortcuts:


Windows Key + Ctrl + D: Create a new virtual desktop.

Windows Key + Ctrl + Left/Right Arrow: Switch between virtual desktops.

Windows Key + Ctrl + F4: Close the current virtual desktop.

Windows Key + Tab + Ctrl: Move the current virtual desktop to the left.

Windows Key + Tab + Shift + Ctrl: Move the current virtual desktop to the right.
