Chapter 1 Safety Precautions
Chapter 1 Safety Precautions
This machine is designed as a machine tool for mould cutting, and the selection of work pieces
material refer to the capacity of tool. Never try to use this machine out of original limits. If there is
any problem, please contact your agent.
This machining center contains hazards from rotating cutting tools, belts and pulleys, high voltage
electricity, noise, and compressed air. When using this machine and its components, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and mechanical
damage.
Before operating this machine, read this instruction manual carefully and follow all of the safety
rules mentioned in this manual to prevent serious person injury or mechanical damage.
A. SAFETY INSPECTION
1. Be careful to read this manual and to understand all the operation of functions and units on
the machine.
2. All the installation, operation, and maintenance for this machining center must be performed
by authorized and qualified personnel.
3. Be safety dressed when operating the machine. Remove ornaments, such as rings, watches,
etc., when operating this machine.
4. Wear proper safe devices such as helmets, goggles, safety shoes, ear protectors to protect
personal safety.
5. To prevent electrical shake, never touch this machine with wet part of your body.
6. After taking drugs (such as sleeping pills) or alcohol drinks, never attempt to operate this
machine.
7. Never let children or strangers close to this machine.
8. The illumination for working area of this machine must be higher than 500 lux and keep the
ground dry.
9. Switch off main power before maintenance to prevent mechanical damage or person injury
resulted from suddenly start.
10. Never attempt to let any parts of your body cross the area protected by safety devices.
11. Keep the working area clean. Clean up the coolant, oil, and chips produced from machining
after the machine stops running.
12. Never place inflammables or chemicals nearby the machine against fire or hazard.
13. Never modify or alter this machine in any way to prevent mechanical damage or person
injury. If modifications are necessary, contact your dealer or maker.
14. When cleaning up the inside of machine, never use the compressed air.

Safety precautions
15. When moving the workpiece or replacing the tool, wear gloves to prevent person injury
resulted from the sharp edge of the workpiece or the tool.
16. Regularly clean the coolant tank up to prevent germs.
17. Keep the window clear. When the window becomes invisible, replace a new one. The
recommended period for replacing the window is every two year.
18. Forbid to operate this machine in the environment which has possibility of explosion.
19. In addition to maintenance, never climb on the machine.
20. The machine has the three-color signal lamp to warn operators of the machine current status.
Please pay attention to the status from this lamp when operating the machine. The meaning
of colors:
Red – Danger (Press emergency stop button.)
Orange – Warning (Abnormal situation occurs.)
Green – Normal (Normal operation.)
21. When the adopted tool diameter and speed are more or higher than the allowable range, the
splash guard has to be modified to the proper strength.
22. Never put any stuff on the movable parts or control panel to prevent machine sudden
behaving.
1. Before starting this machine, make sure no leakage is from any pipes and the environment of
the machine.
2. Before starting this machine, check emergency buttons, indicator lamps and all the switches
are function normally.
3. Follow the directions of the warning and indicating labels on the machine.
4. Never ruin the warning and indicating labels on the machine.
5. Before starting this machine, make sure no damage on the power cables to prevent person
injury resulted from electrical shock.
6. Before starting this machine, make sure all the pressure gauges work normally.
7. Before starting this machine, make sure all the indicator lights work normally.
8. Before starting this machine, make sure lubricant, hydraulic oil, and coolant are sufficient.
9. Before starting this machine, make sure all the safety doors are closed to prevent person
injury resulted from chips or coolant.
10. Before starting this machine, make sure the tool has been secured.
11. Before starting this machine, make sure workpiece has been secured.
12. Before starting this machine, make sure no obstacle in the working area.
13. Before starting this machine, make sure no obstacle in the working travel.

D. AFTER OPERATION
1. Before open safety door, be sure all the moveable or rotary parts (such as spindle) of the
machine have been stopped.
2. After dry machining, wear the gloves to move the workpiece to prevent personal injury
resulted from high temperature.
3
Safety precautions
1. When abnormality occurs during machining running, press “Emergency Stop” button to stop
the machine immediately.
2. Before entering the machine inside, be sure that the main power has been switched off and
the safety door has been opened.
3. Once you are besieged inside the machine, beat the splash guards and shout loudly to find a
favor.
1. Before doing maintenance, switch off main power to prevent personal injury resulted from
machine suddenly behaving.
2. Any components removed at maintenance should be replaced after completing maintenance.
3. After completing maintenance, be sure no tools or components leaved inside the machine or
on the operator’s panel.
4. Coolant tank should be cleaned up regularly to prevent germs. When cleaning coolant tank,
wear the gloves to prevent personal injury resulted from sharp edge of the tank or chips.
5. Keep the visible window clear. When it becomes invisible, replace a new one.
