FAMILIARIZATION

A. TRAINING PRESENTATION

1. Aim
The purpose of this training is acquiring skills for the use and understanding of all available
Navigation Equipment on Multicat Vessel OCS Miss Bee in accordance with ISM Code 6.3 –
6.5 and STCW Regulation 1.14 to maintaining safe navigation on board .

2. Objective
A Trainee succesfully completed this familiarization session will be able to utilize all
appropriate Navigational Equipment onboard to perform a proper watchkeeping duty for safe
navigation onboard .

3. Requirements
Personnel should possessed a STCW Certificate of Competency on Deck Watchkeeping Duties
with below description :
a. For Deck Officers / Master
Possesed COC Class IV and RADAR ARPA Certificate
b. For Able Bodied Seaman
Possessed Rating or Able Seaman Competency with supportive certificate

4. Operational Limitation
Certified Officers will be able to utilize navigation equipment on Operational and Observation
function , whilst Able Bodied Seaman use the equipments for Observation function and only
able to perform operational function under supervision of Chief Officers / Master .
