ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc.: Fault Reporting Manual Supplement TNT Stam Combi Modification

The document provides a supplement to the fault reporting manual for a Boeing 757-200 aircraft that has been modified into a combi configuration by ST Aerospace Mobile. The supplement outlines several changes made during the conversion, including the installation of cargo systems and barriers, the relocation and removal of some circuit breakers, and modifications to systems like the cold air distribution. Maintainers should use both the supplement and the original fault reporting manual when performing maintenance on the converted aircraft.

FAULT REPORTING MANUAL

INTRODUCTION

1. General

The Supplement to the Fault Reporting Manual (FRM) for the converted Boeing 757-200 Combi conforms
to ATA Specification No. 100. Therefore, the rules for using the Supplement FRM as given in the introduc-
tion of the Basic FRM still apply. Both the Supplement FRM and the Basic FRM should be used concur-
rently for the maintenance of the Combi-Converted 757-200 aircraft.

2. Differences

A. Introductory Pages
The following can be found at the front of every supplement chapter:
(1) List of Effective Pages (LEP).
(2) Highlights.

B. Conversion
The Supplement to the Basic FRM contains all the information of the Combi-converted aircraft not
covered in the Basic FRM. The principal differences introduced by the conversion are:

(1) Installation of a main deck cargo system, cargo door and fire protection system.
(2) Deletion of passenger seats and floor covering and replacement of sidewall and ceiling
linings in the main cargo compartment.
(3) Installation of supernumerary courier seats in the courier compartment.
(4) Removal of lavatory F.
(5) Replacement of the cabin windows with dummy windows (STA 406.70 to 1110.45).
(6) Installation of 9g Rigid Cargo Barrier (STA 379).
(7) Installation of Rigid Smoke Barrier (STA 1115).
(8) Deactivation of Doors 2L and 2R.
(9) Changes to circuit breakers.
(10) Modification of cold air distribution system.
(11) Re-routing of the Captain’s elevator control cables.
(12) Deletion of redundant passenger entertainment system.

C. Revision Indicator
The revision indicator ' │ ' in the left hand margin indicates each line revised or deleted by the current
revision. New sections added will not have the revision indicator.

E. Changes To Circuit Breakers

(Figures 1 and 2)
During the Combi conversion program, some circuit breakers were relocated while others were made
redundant and hence, deleted. Some are newly-added and others are renamed. Figures 1 and 2 illus-
trate the locations of these circuit breakers. Tables 1, 2, 3 and 4 provide the list of such changes.

NOTE: There are many chapters affected by the changes made to the circuit breakers. Most of these
changes are updated and are reflected in the Supplement chapters, especially new sections
containing new procedures with new circuit breakers and modified procedures that involve re-
located or deleted circuit breakers. Therefore, it is important that Tables 1 to 4 be used to-
gether with the Basic FRM during maintenance work.
